I love older man-younger woman stories and this one is really good. My first book from the author and definitely not the last.
The story is about Mark and Hailey.
Mark is her father's best friend. He's a famous photographer and a rich land developer. He moved away when he started to have feelings for her. She chose the university at the same city as his to be close to him but he just avoided her.
Hailey's a pre-med student living with her two roommates until their house flooded. Her parents went on a cruise and she has nowhere to go. Mark offered her to stay with him and that's where their relationship started.
There's an epilogue. And there's an extended epilogue if you subscribe to her newsletter and I loved it!

Mark is a successful photographer who feels he has lost his inspiration. He moved away because he had feelings for his best friend's 18 year old daughter. He has successfully avoided her even though she moved to town for college. Now, circumstances have her staying under his roof and he needs to decide who's feelings are most important, his, Hailey's or his best friend/Hailey's dad.
Hailey is a smart, sweet young lady. She is taking pre med classes to keep her parents happy, but her secret dream was to go to art school. She can admit to herself that she chose this college because it is close to her long time crush, Mark. Now, a busted pipe has her in close proximity to her father's best friend and the sexual tension is rising.
~ sexy older hero ~ didn't perceive him to be a manwhore but he of course isn't a virgin (that wouldn't be believable)

Another beautiful story from Lila Younger, slightly taboo with a young heroine having a bad luck forcing her by her parents without having other choice she goes and stays in her crush her dad best friend....
You can figure out the rest.. hot scenes, enjoyable dialogues with a juicy and interesting background story. Mark is an Alpha, bold hero, i totally loved his character, Hailey is a fresh, joyful and sweet heroine, they have an amazing chemistry as a couple.
Is a fast pace plot, i always enjoy this kind of stories so I certainly recommend it and i hope that you're gonna like it as much as a i did!

This was a super sweet romance story despite the taboo of the dad's best friend falling for the daughter story line. It's short but very well written. This author really knows how to write the sweet, older Hero's and if that 's what you like, you will not be disappointed. I do like a more Alpha type Hero but can appreciate a sweet one. This is a safe read with no cheating or other woman drama and ends on a HEA. ARC provided by author.

Overall a good may December romance between Mark and Hailey. He's her dads best friend she has a crush on, she's a holy virgin who's saving herself for him. From there it goes predictably.
Few good sex scenes and no pushing away.

I was lucky enough to receive an ARC of this delightful book from Lila Younger who is definitely on a role with the wonderful books she has written. Hailey is a college student, studying pre-med and a virgin. She lives with her two best friends and when they come back from break they find the upstairs to their rental house flooded. They must leave the house until the damage can be fixed and Hailey calls her parents because she has no where to go. Her parents live out of state so her Father sets her up to stay with his best friend, Mark who lives in her town. Mark is a very successful photographer and he owes a lot of his success to Hailey's Father who always supported and encouraged his dream. Hailey has always had a huge crush on Mark and she's excited to live with him. Mark has definitely noticed Hailey becoming a woman and that's why he's avoided her since she moved to his town. Will they be able to live under the same roof and keep their hands to themselves ? I love a good older man/younger woman story and this one nailed it.

What a quick read of a young med student who comes back from break with her friends to find out her apartment is soaked from water and everything is ruined. Having late notice to find a place to live her dad tells her to go to his best friends house that he has lots of rooms. Turns out this best friend is the crush she has all her younger years. He is older but something she always felt for him, when living under the same roof is hard they decide to persude the relationship. The only issue is how they will tell her parents without him being seen as the bad guy. Got to love these older guys who take care of his girls.

I want more!! Lila's books at like chocolate, smooth, rich , melt in your mouth and you can't get enough! When Hailey has an unexpected incident to happen in her apartment, she is left homeless and thanks to her father's best friend, she has somewhere to stay until she can find another place to live. Hailey has more on her place than she can juggle but living with Mark just makes it that much more interesting!! Another winner!

Hailey had spent time with her friends away on holiday, and they return home to their rental, and there is water everywhere. They call the landlord, who takes his sweet time arriving. He does call in the plumbers, but the damage is extensive. It could be more than a month before, it's fixed. Considering, they are still waiting for him too, fix the door, from when they moved in, freshman year. Now, they are about to start their last semester of, medical school, they are not, expecting much.
They do figure out, with it being so, late in the school year, they will not find, something together. The other two girls, find something, right away. But, Hailey not being from around there, tries calling her parents. She has no car, and little too, no money. They are on a cruise but call back with an answer to her problem. Mark, her lifelong crush. Can it really be happening? All Hailey keeps asking herself.
On her first night at, Mark’s the electricity is at a high voltage for, both of them. They are both aware of, one another. Mark tries to bring down, both their anxiety levels, by taking them both, to dinner. His ulterior motive is to, have her on the back of his motorcycle, with him. Full body, contact. You see there is the age gap, he is her father’s friend, yet, his looks, are light-years, younger. He wants her, too. This night brings them to, their true emotions, where truths are, revealed.
I enjoyed this courtship, and sexual adventure the two explore with one another. As well as, domestic living. To be able to see the growth, in both of them, and watch them work, and strive to be better, for each other.

What a great book, but then I knew it would be, because it's by Lila Younger! All her books are Best Seller Worthy! She tells the story so brilliantly. Her characters are just perfect and her storylines are wonderful.

They have one day to find a new place to live. Just Hailey's luck, she has nowhere to go and even if her parents lived nearby, they are currently out of town. She has had a major crush on Mark for YEARS, now she gets to spend real time with him, without her parents around. Turns out Mark has been having fantasies about Hailey that are very grownup. The book was ok. But I felt like it should have been longer. It seemed like the author was in a hurry to get the book completed. It was as if important details were left out. This was one of those short stories that could have been quite a bit longer. The story line was good. But I think she could have taken this story quite a bit further.
To the author: you have great talent. I could see that in the this novella. I just wish you would have it more into it. It seemed that you skipped some great opportunities to make this book longer. I look forward to see what you can do.

Lacked in delivery
The storyline held the potential but fell short with no angst or steamy build up to the defining moment when the two no longer could deny their attraction for one another. The writing felt juvenile as if a high school girl was speaking. Was not the book for me.

Honestly, not that bad
I've read some real drivel in my time, this was nothing new or exciting but also didn't make me watch to gouge out my eyes. Sooooo all in all not that bad, a simple story with HEA.

Absolutely loved this book
I absolutely loved everything about this book and I literally couldn't put it down and I didn't. These two were absolutely right for each other and their chemistry was over the top.

This book was a drag good thing it was a short read because I am not sure I would have finished it. I didn't buy their attraction at all. The sex was Mediocre at best.
