Occasionally fate steps in and your life changes in an instant. You’re blindsided by events that you never saw coming. Sometimes, they’re unexpected delights. Often times, they’re heartbreaking moments which leave you scrambling to pick up the pieces. These are the moments when tragedy redefines who you are.

For Dr. Ian McCullough, going to his best friend’s sex club that fateful night was done out of love and obligation, not a longing to dive into the BDSM lifestyle. Though he had no experience with it, his opinions on the subject were so unfavorable, they bordered on hostile. In a million years, Ian never expected to be aroused by the sights and sounds surrounding him in Allure. Nor did he ever dream to discover a respected colleague was a performer at Charlie’s club.

Dr. Mia Conti, one of the most respected trauma surgeons in the state, was adamant about keeping her personal life separate from her professional one. Gorgeous, but slightly flighty Mia suddenly found her rulebook changing when her eyes locked with Ian’s as she took the stage.

One patient. Two phone calls. Two lives forever altered.

You've heard of don't judge a book by its cover well this is don't judge a book on your preconceived notions. I've read a few BDSM books, I like them and they have always been in the way I'm comfortable in Man-Dominate woman-sub. Allure is the opposite and if I didn't judge for myself I would have never picked it up, I didn't think I could believe/go along w/ the woman being Dom. But JL has made you see all sides of the two people and not only their genders w/ their typical roles in sex. Allure is sad, funny and sexy what more can you ask for in a novel. My only gripe is I have to wait for b's & c's BDSM.
