Unit 44

Rate this book
Area 51's storage unit has fallen into the wrong hands! Agents Gibson and Hatch forget to pay the rent on the facility's off-site storage unit, and the secret contents are sold to a couple of backwoods rednecks at a public auction. Now an alien invasion threatens planet Earth, and the agents will have to recover an item from the locker if they have any hope of stopping the extraterrestrial threat. A must-read for fans of the MEN IN BLACK series and a refreshing comic for anyone tired of dark and brooding heroes.

Wow! This is a fun indie comic!

What's it about?
These 2 agents work in Area 51 and there's a storage unit that they have off-site with all kinds of classified stuff they didn't have room for. The 2 agents who are responsible for paying the rent for the storage unit forget and that storage unit is sold to a couple of rednecks and that's when some other stuff happens but I won't spoil it.

Pros:
The story is unique and fun. How many stories like that do we get? This is the first time I read a story with a storyline like this and that's a very good thing, I like when I see a story that's a bit different.
The art is very well done. I really like the art style in this book.
There's some pretty sweet action for sure.
The humor is very well done. I was laughing the entire time, very funny and well written.

Cons:
There's no reason to really care about the characters IMO. They aren't particularly bad, there's just not much to them.
Despite how unique the story is, it's also quite predictable.

Overall:
If you want a fun, sci-fi comic this is a good pick! There a few problems but they're kinda small problems really, especially since this is meant to be a fun action-comedy/sci-fi comic and that's exactly what this is. It's a unique story with great art and it's funny so I definitely recommend it.
