Rate this book
The Orange Islands have a Pokémon League of their own. But these Gym matches are beyond different. Mountain climbing? Dancing Pokémon? And sometimes Ash can't even use his Pokémon! What's up with that? Is Ash up to the challenge? With help from his friends and a little luck, Ash just might have a chance.

This reissued illustrated chapter book is based on the classic characters found in Pokemon GO and the classic animated series on Netflix.

This book made me laugh a lot. I love Ash's Lapras! It's very cute.
This story is about Ash competing in different gym challenges, which are different from normal ones. The gyms in Kanto are basically all gym battles which require trainers to battle the gym leaders. In order to get the badges, they must win the battle. In the other hand, gyms in Orange Island requires trainers to work with their Pokemon in a team, which interested me a lot.

This book reminds me of my childhood where I watched Pokemon every day. I can be able to remember the Ash Ketchum story to become a Pokemon Master and why I became so addicted to Pokemon. After that, i started to play pokemon in my old computer.

The story happens after the first season of the cartoon when Ash is trying to visit new places to pursue his idea to become a champion. The battles in the Orange Island are totally different if you compare them to Kanto's league. As a result of it, you will find this story amazing. By the way, the book is very well-written and there are some amazing pictures showing a little bit of the story.

In the story there was 3 challenges but it ended before I got to see the last challenge. In one of the challenges there was a little girl who showed Ash Ketchum around but Ash Ketchum was looking for the gym but Ash did not know the little girl was the gym leader. The little girl almost beat Ash but Ash beat the little girl with one of his Pokémon because they were doing a 3 contest. In one of them, Ash had to do something really crazy and he had to climb up a giant mountain and did he know the person who had to climb up with him was the gym leader?? No! The one with the little girl actually had dancing Pokémon. That’s the end.

I think the most interesting part is when Ash meets Tracey's Pokémon. I never knew that someone can win so many badges in a row!

I love reading through these books. Still makes me think of watching the show everytime i read with my kids. Helps fill the void of not watching the shows currently.

Much better than the other books I have read in the series. The plot actually moved forward and it wasn't as dull or annoying with personalities, plot, or setting.

I remember watching these episodes as a kid. It was cute to read. I’m excited to move it to a different Little Library than where I found it.
