Tommy Blackwell was a programming student at a university. With his best friend Joel being a manwhore, Tommy preferred to lay low and work towards his studies instead. But his priority changed when he met the girl of his dream.

CC was sexy, sassy and nerdy. Her understanding and free spirit made Tommy quickly fell for her charm. But she wanted to take things slow and he gave her what she needed. Neither of them realized sometimes you just have to seize the moment when it's right in front of your eyes.

I love Tommy and his friendship with Joel in Panty Whisperer: The Complete Series and it's really nice to see that again from the beginning, but this time around Tommy got his spotlight to shine on.

“Why do you like me so much?”
“Because you can write code and let me hum Star Wars songs on your pussy.”

Tommy was your typical lovable geek. He was patient and loyal to people he cared about.

I stare at her chest that’s concealed by a vintage Atari tee shirt.

Even though CC was more cautious in being in a relationship, she was a lot of fun. She certainly matched Tommy when it came to geekdom.

She squeezes her hot, trembling cunt around me and her mouth drops open. Her legs start to quiver like she can’t control what’s happening with her body.

The story was cute with a lot of fun banters involving Star Wars and computer nerdiness. Both of them were individually adorkable and especially when they're together. Oh, and the sex scenes were hot of course :P

4.75 "nerdy love" stars

Thomas/Tommy is studying to be a computer software programmer and even excelling in that, it's not really what he wants out of life. He's more of a nerdy, appreciative "Star Wars" and x-box affectionado - not much of a party, drinking, screwing around kinda guy even though he's often plays a wingman to his best friend Joel, but he's always the second choice.
I'll always be in that guy's shadow. It's fine. I'm not ugly by any means, but when everyone thinks your best friend is Brad Pitt, you're kind of relegated to the B-list.

Until she, Chrystal Castles Clark/CC, the sexy nerdy chick from his class, shows up and shows interest in the „binary bad boy“ as she flirtaciously called him. And they instantly clicked, sharing the same interests in "codes", computers, Star Wars and generally the „air around them was just right in that moment“
..the way she talks, the way our conversation flows with such little effort – it sets me at easy, and I feel more like myself.

Tommy instantly feels this is „right“, this is „it“
It's like she was born the perfect match for me.
The Leia to my Han.

even though she is a bit reluctant, Tommy is being the one willing to step up but also to wait for her as long as she needs him to.
…I'd wait forever if I had to, babe.

The moments they share were fulfilling, sweet, funny, sexy, it was all consuming and supressing the wondering of the future was futile BUT also every moment they shared might be as fickle and fleeting, and not even being aware of it…

This was a short story about universal, passion and love, friendship and „making it count“ in full sense of the word. It had a twist which I honestly didn't think it would happen and I wasn't expecting it, therefore, it made me appreciate their love even more, no matter how quick/instantanious it was. It was right. It was real. In that moment in time.

description

In this prequel, we go back to the time when Tommy and Joel (aka The Panty Whisperer) are single and carefree college students. But in this novella, the focus is on Tommy and his first experience of falling in love. The girl is a student in his programming class with the nickname CC and she is literally Tommy’s wetdream come true - smart, nerdy, sexy and a sci-fi fan to boot. As they start dating, the times are fun and lead to some combustible moments.

“Say it again. Whose pussy is this?”
“It’s yours. All of me, it’s yours.”
“She presses her forehead to mine. “This pussy is yours.”

As they get to know each other, Tommy realizes it’s more than just a physical attraction and he starts to really think about a future with CC. Coming to the realization and acceptance of his feelings doesn’t take long but when Tommy is ready to share his heart with CC, the unexpected happens causing Tommy to recalculate his future.

“I’m a realist, always believing it was just feelings and chemicals releasing when people said they fell in love instantly. I’m a believer now. There’s nothing scientific about it. I can’t prove it. I just fucking know it.”

Coming full circle, Tommy learns to embrace life and chooses to pursue a career on his own terms to fulfill his own brand of happiness and contentment. Perhaps, Tommy would have achieved his goals with or without CC’s influence, but he knows she will always be a part of him.

“A warmth rushes through me, through the biting cold. It heats my heart the way CC walking into a room used to. She’s here with me, listening.”

Personally, I always had more of a crush on Tommy, so getting to read a little more of his geeky hotness was a treat, as he brings his own brand of sexy and he certainly doesn’t disappoint. I enjoyed feeling excitement for Tommy and CC at how perfectly they complimented each other in intelligence and humor. CC was a character that I liked immediately and could easily be friends with. Since this is a prequel, I knew something was going to preclude them from being together, but the impact of their time together helped to shape Tommy into a compassionate character.

In Tommy Boy, Sloane Howell manages to successfully evoke a range of emotions in this novella and this is due to his ability to tell a story with ease and without pretense. What you get in Tommy Boy is forthright, funny and sexy!

For those who are fans of the Panty Whisperer series, I highly recommend this novella that will give a little more perspective to the nature of friendship, love and following one’s heart.

I've had this series on my Kindle for a while and so I figured one night when it was far too late to start a full novel, that I'd begin this novella and maybe it would kickstart me into finally reading the series.

Having not a single clue as to what to expect from this book. I was very surprised. Like I said, it was a late night choice - I wanted to read for about an hour, so I didn't waste a lot of time deciding on a book. I had this, I knew I could finish it before it was time to call it a night - so I dove right in.

Tommy Boy is a short intro novella to the Panty Whisperer series. Since I haven't yet started the series - I am assuming that this pretty much is the story that is going to explain the behavior of a character from the series or set the stage to how the series came to be.

Tommy is a bit nerdy, living a bit in the shadow of his buddy Joel - but when Joel gets turned down by the girl that caught Tommy's eye - he's certain that he won't stand a chance. But for a girl like Crystal, Tommy is just the sort of guy she can fall for.

Their romance is a bit quick - from a coffee date to wanting to spend every waking moment together. But this story takes a HUGE twist. A twist that took me by complete surprise and although it's typically one I will shy away from, it did make me appreciate the story far more. It made me feel like this love story deserved to be cherished, just a little bit more than I first imagined.

Given the seriousness of the end of this book, the beginning was humorous, sexy and witty.

I still haven't found the time to start the full series, but I am looking forward to seeing what becomes of these two boys.

Tommy has a special place in my heart. If you have read Panty Whisperer: The Complete Series, most readers would be enthralled by Joel. I was, apparently, but Tommy has a definite charm to him that he had captured my heart the way Joel wasn't able to.

Tommy is a sweetheart. God, I love him. A goofball, a nerd, and a loyal friend. Tommy is a serious student but life has a way of changing things. Reading this, I already have a foreboding feeling of what will happen. I think it's one of the reason I kept expecting it to happen, that when it did, I didn't feel the full force and impact of it.

One of the reasons I love this book is that Sloane Howell made me re-live college in a different life and a different place. I love the humor and the writing was effortless.

I highly recommend to all those TPW fans, but if you're not, well no worries. You're in for some hot and sexy scenes! *humming*

5 Tommy Boy Stars - ARC

I can’t say enough good things about Tommy. If you read The Panty Whisperer series then YOU KNOW, you want to read about Tommy. If you haven’t and you’re picking up this book for the first time and just getting to know the boys you’re going to fall in love. And laugh your butt off because they are zany.

I loved Tommy before but I am head over heels for him now. Not only is he funny and nerdy but the man has the skills. *wink* *wink*

“Some people say spooning is lame. I say it’s the best thing ever if your arm is around the right girl.” – Tommy

We still get the feel of Joel and Tommy together just like we did in The Panty Whisperer. But Tommy gets the girl this time. I have to say I was shocked by what I read and I want more, no I need more. The feels.. My heart is not complete…yet..

*You don't have to like my review but its 100% my opinion, and I am allowed to have it.*

Listen this book didn't get a 3 star rating because of the actual book , i actually really liked the book . the book had a very unique concept that i really connected with and wish other authors could do the same BUT the ending left me feeling like it was unfinished and happened so quickly . i just feel that the ending gave me whiplash and would have liked something better , but overall it was good .

P.S. how does this book have anything to do with the rest of this series?O-o

Uggggg all the feels for Tommy Boy...like no joke! Tommy Boy is best person I have never met (I mean he is not real soooo) anyway, I Fing FLOVED this book...this is probably the best writing from Sloane so I know its only going to keep getting better. If you read the Panty Whisperer then you will love this quick little read. It was great to get a glimpse into Joel in his younger years and I adore the friendship that these two have.
In the words of Tommy Boy, "Some people say spooning is lame. I say it's the best thing ever, if your arm is around the right girl." <-----That is my favorite line in the book. Sooooo recap.....EVERYONE needs to BUY this BOOK...when it comes out.

ARC provided in exchange for an honest review.

Tommy Blackwell is coasting through college, doing the bare minimum in his coding classes to keep his family happy. He doesn't need a girlfriend, he's perfectly happy being Joel's best friend and watching him pick up girl after girl each evening. Crystal Castles Clark changes that though, the nerdy girl who speaks in Star Wars and love programming. She too isn't searching for a relationship, but she finds one in Tommy. They're made for each other, their interests in all things nerdy and the off the charts chemistry between them have them both falling fast. They embrace their feelings, but life has a way of getting in the way of things.

"She'd make a perfect Padme to my Annakin for Halloween."

Sloane Howell, you're not supposed to get me with the feelings! I love Tommy, I have wanted a book about him since I first read The Panty Whisperer. He's my kind of guy, attractive and 112% nerdy. He's made even better by his nervous habits and his sweet demeanor. Plus, he's hilarious. Tommy's dialogue is laugh out loud funny and really accurate to how men are at that age in college. Revisiting his friendship with Joel was a treat; I liked glimpsing at their younger years and seeing how their friendship was such a strong bond, made stronger by situations they went through. Tommy's relationship with CC is lightning speed fast, but the force pushed them together and they both embraced it. They are a sweet couple, the kind of relationship Tommy absolutely deserved, and they were totally smutty too. I wasn't expecting what happened though and it absolutely gutted me.

"'Why do you like me so much?'
'Because you can write code and let me hum Star Wars songs on your pussy.'"

Filled to the brim with pop culture references, Tommy Boy is a can't be missed nerd-smut novella. It's a quick read, laugh out loud funny, and has real depth to it. You'll find yourself loving Tommy, though I don't really want to share him if I can help it!

Joel who? I am all about the Tommy Boy now!

This prequel to the Panty Whisperer series was a fun, sexy, steamy quick read, and it has left me wanting to read the PW series again.

Set back in the early 90's, Tommy and CC's story left me feeling with its pop culture references!

I adored Tommy and CC, and for such a quick read, Tommy Boy sure does pack a punch! It took some twists and turns that I definitely did not see coming!

Can't wait to see what Mr Howell brings us next.

Book Description

We finally get a glimpse into Tommy's younger days with Joel and all I can say is wow. It's funny, heartbreaking and lovely all wrapped into one. The Star Wars references and pretty much all of his convos with Joel were absolutely funny.

So if you're wondering if you should buy this when it's available then the answer is a BIG FAT YES. You need Tommy Boy in your life!

Tommy Boy is a prequel novella to Panty Whisperer. This story contains scorching hot sexy scenes, sayings that'll make you giggle and incredibly sweet moments that'll leave you wishing you had your very own Tommy.

This review of Tommy Boy: A Panty Whisperer Prequel by Sloane Howell is for The Sweet Spot Sisterhood Blog. First, I just want to say I hate you Sloane Howell because you made my eye's cry! But, I love you all the same. I still give Tommy Boy 5 Stars! I mean he is the Sultan of Smut after all. This book can very easily be read in one sitting. It is for mature audiences only. If vulgar offensive language and sexually explicit content bother you then this book isn't for you. However, if you are into that kind of stuff sit back and relax and let Sloane tell you a story about Tommy Boy.

Tommy Boy is a prequel to The Panty Whisperer, an 8 Volume set. If you haven't read it yet, I highly recommend it. However, it is not a necessary read beforehand. It is the story of Tommy obviously. Lol. He is in college and lives with his BFF Joel f*ing Hannover, The Panty Whisperer himself. While Joel is off whispering to panties, Tommy meets Crystal aka CC. She already blew Joel off, but she has a thing for Tommy. They are perfect for each other. After only a month, Tommy is already thinking marriage and babies. It's too soon to tell her he loves her right? He doesn't want to scare her off, but tragedy strikes. Will he finally get the chance to tell her he loves her? Now come on, I'm not giving that away. You got to read it and find out for yourself.

I loved Tommy in The Panty Whisperer so couldn't wait for his book. If possible, I love him even more now.

This book has some absolutely cracking one liners, Star Wars dirty talk (a first for me) and a sweet romance all in one short book. Oh and it's hot!!! We find out what and who made Tommy who he is and there was even a twist that I didn't see coming. I really loved getting a better insight into who Tommy was. He's so much more than just Joel's best friend/side kick and it was fantastic to see him stepping out of Joel's shadow.

The relationship between Tommy and Joel was one of my favourite things about The Panty Whisperer, and I was so happy the banter and bond between them didn't change in this book. It gives that little bit more to the story.

A really enjoyable quick read that did Tommy good.

Sexy Comedy! That may or may not make you a shed a tear or two.

I didn't think I could love Tommy any harder but I was wrong. So wrong!
In Tommy Boy, he was funny, which was a given. But he was also a little awkward and I found that incredibly sexy. I loved that he was somewhat shy but had this confidence in the bedroom. Total turn on. And CC! Oh, I loved her. Sloane Howell couldn't have written a better girl for Tommy.
They were perfect for one another.

This is A Panty Whisperer Prequel but I think it can also be read a standalone.
Either way I think you'll enjoy it.

Tommy Blackwell is a quirky computer geek who lives with his overly sex driven roommate, and lifelong friend, Joel. Tommy's college years are all planned out, he's set his goals, and high academic success is number one. He doesn't have time for horsing around with the opposite sex if he plans to make his dreams come true.

CC Clark beats to the same drum as Tommy. As a matter of fact, she too sits on the edge of nerdy and boring because her goals mirror those of Tommy's. However, as their paths cross and the fireworks fly those mirrored goals change in the light of love.

Sloane Howell brings back Tommy and Joel in the prequel by transporting these two back to college. Tommy and Joel are still the yin and yang for one another, but always full of playful banter and entertaining escapades. What I love most about Tommy Boy: A Panty Whisperer Prequel is the raw innocence shown in Tommy and the expressive nature of his immature self. Howell opens up Tommy and develops the traits which he exhibits as Joel's sidekick in the Panty Whisperer. The prequel dives deep into Tommy's heart and mind and speaks to the openness of young love. Through a variety of masterfully integrated cliche's, double entendres, slang, and pop culture imagery Howell sews together the back drop of Tommy's vulnerabilities and his road less traveled. If you haven't read the Panty Whisperer Tommy Boy is great way to introduce yourself to Joel's wingman, but warm your heart with Tommy's lovable personality.

This story began as a light & humorous contemporary romance. The characters were interesting, there were wonderful steamy sex scenes & the plot moved at a steady pace. The shocker came near the end of the book, so unexpected that I think I stopped breathing for a moment. Initially, I thought, ok, we have a prequel here that will introduce us to the main story, short & sweet & then move on to the full novel. Yes, it was just that but so much more. Mr. Howell possesses a continuity in his writing style, direct & not verbose, an easy flow in the storyline with addictive characters & dialogue. This was a genuine delight to read with an unexpected twist that jolted & saddened me & I can't wait to read more. I'm definitely a new fan.

I'm already a huge fan of the Panty Whisperer series, so when I found out that Sloane was writing a prequel involving Tommy, I was so excited! Tommy was one of my favourite characters, and definitely worthy of his own story.

Tommy Boy is brilliantly written. I wasn't really sure what to expect, as I've learned that Sloane can be unpredictable, but this... this book was amazing.
Tommy is this sweet guy who loves making movie references in his day to day life. He is basically that adorable nerd that you can't help but fall for.

You can't have Tommy without Joel. Anyone who has read the Panty Whisperer knows that Joel is an overly confident ladies man. He can get any woman he wants, just by looking at them.

And then we have Crystal. She and Tommy share a class together but have never really spoken. He's definitely noticed her around though. So has Joel.

I'm not gonna lie, this book brought out a lot of emotions. There were some real laugh out loud moments, cringe-worthy moments, hot and steamy moments, and heart-breaking moments. I refuse to ruin the book for anyone else by sharing too many details. Believe me, if you loved Tommy in the Panty Whisperer, you'll love him in Tommy Boy.

One of your best yet, Sloane.

TOMMY BOY
by Sloane Howell

Sloane Howell does it again with Tommy Boy a Panty Whisperer Prequel. My first experience with Sloane Howell was the Panty Whisperer series and have loved him ever since. He doesn't disappoint with this short story as he captures your attention from the first page to the last word. In Tommy Boy you meet Tommy and Joel best friends and more who stick together and have each others back through thick and thin in their college days. You get to see why Tommy, my favorite character of the series. is who he is and why. You meet CC who Tommy falls in love with and get to feel the connection they form with each other. The star wars one liners and humming of the theme songs are truly original and too funny. During this book you experience the laughter and fun of the best bud relationship along with the first love of a lifetime. You laugh, you cry then yell at the author as it's an unexpected ending. So worth reading whether you have already read the Panty Whisperer series or are just starting it you can't go wrong.

I'm fairly new to this genre of reading but if this had been my first book it still would get five stars. I admit I like reading great scenes but a story that reminds you of a certain period in your life where you can relate to almost all the characters go through, that's a pretty amazing read.
I've read a couple of the shorts produced in the Panty Whisperer series and expected a slightly different angle on this story, the emotional rollercoaster hit its stride though and as I was getting ready to put it down, I hit the spot where you just need to finish those last pages.
I really don't want to give away spoilers but if you want a story that'll toss you right back into the early 2000's and will make you laugh, go aaaw, and pull a tear here and there, while keeping the heat turned up, I highly recommend this quick read.

Tommy Boy is probably Sloane Howell's best work to date, in my opinion. I mean this... this is some good stuff right here. Good, good stuff.
If you have read Panty Whisperer you will be familiar with Tommy - he is Joel's best friend. This is his story and its amazing. (I know I said that before, but it bears repeating.) Its set in the 90s and with the references to elusive wifi and ethernet cables it had me laughing from the first pages forward. In true Sloane Howell fashion it was funny and sexy with just enough OTT brash vulgarity to show his signature. And then the bomb was dropped. And ohhhhh my gahd. WTF. No Spoilers but WHOA. Just whoa. Get the book and be whoa'ed for yourself.
A great short story that you will remember long after you finish it. I am definitely recommending Tommy Boy!

This was such a fun and quick read! Just when you think you know it all BAM!

Life is full of unexpected moments popping up in your ordinary day.

A quarter on the sidewalk
A beautiful girl in your class
Your best friend making you smile after a particularly douchey comment

But not moments are weighed equally and they can run out...

Tommy Boy is a quick hit prequel but be careful- it hits hard. Sweet romance with some naughty escapades and an unexpected twist.

Having read the Panty whisperer already i was looking forward to this prequel and I'm glad to say i wasn't disappointed. Sloane you did it again, short and sweet but so damn good. I laughed a little too loud at some of the one liners not to mention the star wars references.........that was before i needed to reach for the hankies......really you had to do it didn't you!

You right good words!
