The world has learned the legend of Helen of Troy, but not her story. Even the name by which she is known is not her true title. She was Helen, Queen of Sparta. And she was much more than a pretty face. ______________________
Delaney McPhearson has been made a public pariah. She barely escaped with her life from Colorado when law enforcement agents moved in. And she cannot take credit for that escape. No, that credit belongs to one man, Drake—Las Vegas entertainer, sabbatical taking archangel, and consummate egoist.
But Drake's help is not without strings. He has an agenda too. He knows for Laney to move forward, she must first delve into her past—she must remember her life as Helen of Troy.
History has never truly known Helen. For hundreds of years cults celebrated her, well before Homer immortalized her in The Iliad as a woman who turned her back on her family and kingdom for a handsome face. Yet as with many of history's greatest characters, the life of Helen of Troy is more than it seems.
Now it's finally time for the most maligned woman in history to tell her side of the story.

Wow what a story, loved the journey back in time and Laney's transformation into Helen. Lots of action, needed more Fallen to get a 5 from me. Went on a little to long also felt like I was back in High School reading Homer. The end was good and I look forward to the next one . Good read just needed to be a shorter read.
I've just finished reading the whole 14 book Belial series as I couldn't put it down and couldn't wait for the next book. Its been an amazing roller coasteride with so much fact and fiction. Thoroughly and absolutely enjoyed the series from start to finish and looking forward to the next Belial saga.
The prequels are a must for the utmost compression of the author's overall story. However as a standalone this book can still suck you in. I was enchanted from the first chapter and was unable to put it down prior to the conclusion!
I have thoroughly enjoyed this whole series. Some books more than others as is to be expected. But I have to say, this one is staying with me. The story between Helen and Achilles is just...it just is. One of my all time favorites!
Who Wouldn't love one of the greatest love stories ever written or dreamed...I loved the beautiful surprise near the end.. I was hoping that would be how it turned turned out. Bravo!! Nicely done!
I loved the history in this, the 9th book of the series. Even though I know most of it was made up by the author, enough of it was factual and reading it as a love story was a lot of fun. Looking forward to number 10. Read on my Kindle.
It's been almost two years as I pick on this series. It's great to be back with all the characters. Helen of Troy! Remarkable lady. Should have been called Helen of Sparta.
Just finished this book. Simply unbelievable. I can't talk about it because I'd give away things readers need to find out themselves, but also because I am speechless. Wow. Just...wow. do NOT miss this one. Wow.
This was a very interesting treatment of legend and past lives. I was intrigued by the twists and turns introduced to flesh out the "true" relationships and personalities.
What a great turn on Helen of Sparta's story. Not a runaway bride, but a real hero. Who's to tell if this might have been true since powerful women were always deleted or made into something they were not for ages. Great past life for Laney.
Not what I thought it would be, but still a great read. It answers lot of questions and leads to many more. I'm looking forward to reading the next book.
This installment was awesome. Not like the rest, interestingly one of its own, yet tying the next book wonderfully at the end. It continues to ask for more.
This was a fabulous story it about Helen's adventures back in time. The intriguing ways Helen accomplished her mission are most entertaining. Take your time reading this book. It share a great deal of history that I found very interesting. Enjoy this book, my friends.
Delaney McPherson is on the run--from almost everyone. Drake, a sometimes Fallen who is also a headliner in Las Vegas, manages to rescue her from a trap set by authorities in Colorado. Now at a remote location, known only to Drake, she collapses, mentally and physically exhausted. In this state, she relives a prior life--Helen of Troy/Sparta. The story sheds some light on the main Bad Guy--Samyaza and some of his henchmen, and their efforts to control the human race. A lot of historical names, other than Helen, are involved in this story--Agamemnon, Paris, Menelaus, Clytemnestra, Achilles, and Hector, to name just a few. This is an interesting story, but the ending makes it seem like just a lead-in for the next book in the series.
Given a potion Laney dreams of her prior life as Helen of Troy, ring bearer. This is a worthy part of the Belial Series that was hard to put down. The only knock is that the Kindle edition has frequent errors that a good editor should have revised.
I did not think I could like this series more. Wrongly
I was in the middle of a good book when this came out. It was almost painful to not read it immediately. Damon what a good book. I had to Keep myself from just blowing through it at light speed. It is as if RD Brady was Sophia/Helen herself. This all tied in the entire rest of the series. I am sitting here waiting for it. If you read this yourself, I would like to say thank you for your wonderful books (all of them) and I hope you are writing the next helical book right now. I you are not then, LOL get to work there are people sitting with baited breath waiting to see what Delaney is doing.
This was by far the best book in the Belial series. The story of a past life as Helen of Troy for the ring bearer was extremely interesting and compelling. Could not quit reading because the story really draws you in. It is very sad how Laney was defamed as Helen of Troy had been and also how many innocent people died because of evil people who wanted absolute power. Those who do good and strive to p protect others suffer so much because of those ruthless power hungry evil creatures.
The The Belial Warrior follows story of Helen of Sparta, one of the Laney's previous incarnation. While this book seems to be just a filler, it's enjoyable nontheless. The only problem with this book is the huge volume of typos, misspells etc. If there was someone who worked as a proofreader he should be fired on spot.
I found this book to be less gripping than the first eight books. It was enjoyable but other than Achilles, I could not engage with the other characters as well as her other books. It just lacked the passion and intensity. I will still keep buying R.D. Brady's books though.
This book is a departure from the ongoing saga of Laney and company. Laney must revisit a previous life as Helen of Sparta in order to gain important information on how to defeat a once and present foe. Even without the overarching story of the ring-bearer and the Fallen, this was a good tale, well written and engrossing.
