"Who is Sophia? A hunted woman? A delusional mail-order bride? Or Jack Caldwell's fated mate?" As a bear shifter isolated in the Alaskan wild, Jack Caldwell is wary of humans. Especially hunters. Hidden by miles of heavy woods, he doesn't expect to be tracked through the scope of a rifle. But he's wrong. When a strange, beautiful woman shows up on his doorstep, she brings danger with her. Now the bear he must conceal from her is the only one who can save her life.
I enjoyed reading"Forbidden Prey". It was full of action, drama, intrigue. Sophia was trying to escape from a maniac. The chemistry between the main characters was simmering when they first met. Later that chemistry exploded. Jack and Sophia were destined to meet. First he saves her and then she saves him. Great fight scenes... Loved them. Jack has a secret find out what it is. Check out this book!
I really should have read this book sooner. I had bought it a while ago and forgotten about it. Glad I rediscovered it in my library. This was a very captivating story that holds your attention till the end. I would definitely read this book again.
I absolutely love this book.I wish it was more books to a series Like a brother cousin sister. I would definitely read more books from this author. This is a must read! Thank you author for sharing your book with us.
This is the first time reading a novel by this author but most certainly not the last. Sophie Francis was in a very horrific situation which felt like the author rushes through and skips over things that should be important ( Unanswered questions) such as her family US status, how she could sign up for mail-ordered bride if not a US citizens, was she the only child and Harlan Davis past history? The story was fairly well written with some plot hole but not a distraction. The attraction was noticeable at their first meeting but Jack Caldwell refrained due to past relationships. My only problem was Sophie calling Jack a demon and considered unacceptable because she needed his help! Overall, a nice story Also not a thriller!
I thought this was a good story. . I didn't like the heroine being so weak at first. . Although she did it for family, I could not see myself doing it. . What she goes through is devastating to say the least. She became strong once he threatened her virginity. I had just read a couple of romantic mail order brides that were really good.....this is the other side of the coin.
So I read this book some years ago and really enjoyed it. I figured I'd reread it since I was feeling a bit nostalgic but I could not find it on Amazon Kindle site anywhere. I'm not sure if its been removed or why but there's a "Page not found" message w/ a cute little dog there. I'm feeling pretty bummed out right now. I even tried to find it in the regular book section to purchase a hard copy, but no such luck. Anyone know where I can purchase this book?
This was a really sweet story. Loved the connection between Jack and Sophia. They were perfect for each other. The story was pretty well written. It was quite detailed and gave you a visual of what was going forward on from beginning to end. Good job, K.T. Washington.
It was alright. The writing needs work, but it wasn't bad. There's a part in the narrative when the heroine's religious belief become more intrigal in a place that may make some uncomfortable but it doesn't detract from the story.
