Sabrina Wagner writes sweet, sassy, sexy romance novels featuring tattooed men and the strong women who challenge them. After twenty-six years of being an elementary school teacher, she left the classroom and began writing fulltime. Now she spends her time crafting steamy stories about stubborn, alpha men and the sassy women who bring them to their knees.
Sabrina lives in Michigan with her true-life, alpha-hero husband. She has two twenty-something children and two adorable cats, Olive and Moo. Sabrina thrives off caffeine, enjoys spending time with her family, and loves basking in the sun. It’s rare to find her without a book in her hand or a story spinning through her head.
Sabrina believes true friends should be treasured, a woman’s strength is forged by the fire of affliction, and everyone deserves a happy ending. She enjoys spending time with her family, cuddling her kittens, walking on the beach, and of course, reading. Sabrina is a hopeless romantic and knows all too well that life is full of twists and turns, but the bumpy road is what leads to our true destination.
I've made no secret that I like Sabrina Wagner's writing. While she has a tendency to ramble, she doesn't miss the details of her story, so the reader is never left saying "say what?" at the end. In this case, this book is a continuation of the story of Tyler and Kyla (I could do Ty and Ky, but Kyla isn't a fan of that).
The book starts where the previous book, Hearts on Fire, ends. Now, I know a lot of people would complain about these books telling a continuing story, but in this case, since the story spans over years and encompasses many happenings in their lives, breaking this into a series was appropriate, in my opinion of course.
This book contains things that could trigger a reader, however, I think they are done in a tasteful manner. I will warn you that there is violence in the book, and it isn't always pleasant. However, it isn't overdone, nor is it something that isn't a solid part of the story. Without the violence, the story couldn't be told the way it is, and would have been far less satisfying in the end.
Could there be improvements to the book, of course there could. I haven't read too many books where improvement wouldn't be warranted. However, short of a few typos and maybe too many details in place where they aren't needed, this book hits all the high points for a reader.
I have the next book, "Reviving My Heart" already loaded onto the Kindle. I believe the next book is the conclusion in Kyla and Tyler's lives and I'm looking forward to enjoying it.
