Miss 5 selected this book. She thought it was too scary to look at herself but found it funny once I'd read it to her twice.
Miss 5 and I like to explore different books and authors at the library, sometimes around particular topics or themes. We try to get different ones out every week or so; it's fun for both of us to have the variety and to look at a mix of new & favourite authors.
I always go on what my daughter thinks for picture books - as that is the age they are aimed at. This is one that we have had multiple times from the library and she's yet to get bored! I like reading it, as the voices are great to do, seriously you should hear my Granny voice.
Kids loved the alliteration in this story.... I had a couple of requests for a re-read. The illustrations really captured their attention. Would love to see more from both the author and illustrator.
One of those silly children’s stories they briefly get excited about, but then quickly forget. Entertaining and a little bit scary. Classic library fodder.
