A comprehensive review of Lithuania’s history and Jewish life there. Very helpful if you are doing genealogy. Gave me context for what happened to my family and even lists “shtetls” and their districts.

I admit that I did skim through some of the many names and dates, but I found the book totally engaging and certainly educational. As a Jew whose family trees is mostly from that part of Europe, I was personally involved with the story. The modern time when Germany was dealing with the Jewish problem was so educational and involving. Fascinating amount of detail.
I can recommend this book to anyone interested in the subject

This is a detailed history. It certainly fills a hole in history of this country, and is a good resource for those looking for this very specific information.
