When a born sinner gets a taste of the reverend’s daughter he becomes hell bent on making her his. Trigger Jennings has only ever wanted one woman on the back of his motorcycle, Opal Willoughby. Now that she’s eighteen, nothing will stand in his way. Not even her daddy, the reverend who's got a vendetta against his club, the Born Sinners.
Glenna Maynard is a Wall Street Journal & USA Today Bestselling Author best known for her gritty motorcycle club romances. She has a passion for writing antiheroes and romance as dark as her heart with over 60 titles published. When she isn’t arguing with the voices in her head or drinking reader tears you can find her curled up with a good book or attempting a new craft with her kids and husband in Eastern Kentucky.
When you say MC book release and Glenna Maynard, my ears perk up and my one-click finger gets Trigger (get it) happy. I don't even need to read the description, it's a must buy and a must read.
Now we all know Maynard can write some down and dirty Alpha men types. Well, she comes through again. But, wait, there is something extra. Trigger, is all of that and more. He is devoted and dedicated to one thing. That is making Opal his and nobody will get in his way.
Whoo Whee! If you are familiar with her Black Rebel Rider MC series (if you aren't, then you need to be), you know each and every man is every woman's dream. Well, make room for the Born Sinners MC.
Oh, and there may be a tiny surprise in here. So, what are you waiting for? Go fall in love with Trigger and Opal.
I just love Glenna's biker books they are always fun to read. Seriously Trigger is such a sweetheart, from the moment he met Opal he's protected and loved her but she was too young for him. When she turns 18 all bets are off he loves her she loves him. Should be easy right? Come on this is Glenna we're talking about ha ha. If you like reading about a dirty talking biker and his strong old lady you will love this book.
My Review of Born Sinner by Glenna Maynard My Rating 4.5 Stars This is one dynamic page turner; Trigger Jennings is one h*ll of an alpha male we all want in our corner. Watching and waiting for Opal to grow up and be of legal age so he can swoop her up and make her his. Opal is a feisty gal who has watched and waited for the day when she could give her dad the finger as she climbs on the back of Trigger Jennings bike. The chemistry amongst Trigger and Opal could ignite a building without striking a match, HOTT!! The plot twists in this amazing read are incredible; I enjoyed how I didn’t see it coming and “POW” there it is! In Glenna Maynard fashion people. The suspense, sexual tension, and raw grit make this a book worth reading. One click this book, as you’ll not be disappointed. I wasn’t! This story is unlike any of her other MC books. It’s a definite must read! Can’t wait for more! *Reviewed by Momma Hellmouth for Hellmouth’s Bookblog & Reviews*
While it is in the same world as her Black Rebel Riders, and we may actually get a brief appearance from them, Born Sinner isn’t a spin off, or at least it didn’t feel like one to me. More of a next town over kind of thing if that makes sense.
Trigger, enforcer for the Born Sinners MC, has waited for Opal to turn 18 before he touched her. The day she graduated, she also became legal, and she also became his. Not that it took any convincing seeing as she had loved him for years.
A fast paced story saw many, many things come to light for Opal, not just about the man she loves and the club life he leads, but also about her own life. Things she couldn’t have even imagined were true. Trigger and Opal were good together and the story drew me in. A short read; took me a little under 2 hours to read, this was a great start to a potential new series. I give Born Sinner 4.5 stars.
Anytime I pick up one of Glenna's books I settle in for a ride. Her stories always keep me entertained and keep me coming back for more. That goes for Born Sinner too.
I totally fell in love with Trigger. He's one of those characters that you want more of, the kind you can't get enough of. He's been in love with Opal for years just waiting on her to turn eighteen. He wants her and has to make her his.
Opal is the preachers daughter. She has always had eyes for a Trigger but know he won't touch her until she is of age. Growing up without a mother and an abusive father she can't wait to get out and get on with her life. I will have to say at first I didn't really care for her. But as I read on and more of her came out I really started to like her. Great book, wonderful writing and smoking hot characters. And it was wonderful getting a visit with our favorite Black Rebel Rider.
Interesting and different biker romance that has Opal, a preacher's daughter and Trigger, a biker who is older and just waiting for her to be of legal age, falling in love and starting a life together on her 18th birthday...much to the dismay of almost everyone around them. Her parents' backgrounds were very different, and so when secrets from the past come to light, nobody is the same after finding out what everyone believed, were all just lies. I was expecting the usual "biker wedding" and instead experienced a very different kind in a very different (and not always accepted) setting and religion. Interesting to say the least. Be prepared for an insta-love, moves at the speed of lightning biker romance with some unexpected twists and turns along the way.
I really enjoyed this book and hope more are written about this mc . The characters are fantastic with a good dose of banter and alpha males . I'd definitely would recommend this book .
This story is short, fast paced and angsty. I read this book in one sitting and wasn’t once bored. I really liked that Trigger had wanted Opal for years and that he waited till she was legal to make a move. I liked Opal. I liked that as soon as she turned eighteen, she went to get her man. I liked them together. The chemistry and passion between them is through the roof. I really liked them and the love they had for one another. I hated what Rev did to Opal. My heart ached for all she had been through because of him. I was cheering Opal on when she told her mother what she thought. She didn’t roll over and let her mother back into her life like nothing had happened. I liked Aaron and want more of him. The storyline for this book is easy to follow and a gripping read.
Trigger and Opal have had eyes for each other for years but Trigger knew he had to keep his hands off the reverend’s daughter or he would be looking at some time since Opal was still under age. The reverend had no love for the dirty biker but Trigger was keeping an eye on the reverend as well since Trigger had seen marks on Opal’s back. That was only part of what the good reverend was putting his daughter through.
Trigger was just waiting for the day that Opal turned 18 and he was pretty sure Opal had the same thought in mind. This was a fast, gritty and hot read that will leave you wanting for more.
Opal’s 18th birthday has arrived and with that day she will finally be able to be with her beloved Trigger. Opal has been in love with him for years but he doesn’t want to do anything with her until she is of age, but he always knew that Opal belong with him so until the day comes he protects her when she needed it even from her father, the Rev. Opal’s father is not a good man as people think and hides a past that Opal doesn’t know. Opal and Trigger certainly don’t waste time😍 and Opal underneath the good girl facade hides a very naughty girl🔥. Grim and Foxie make a small appearance in the book. Although the Sinners are good, I prefer the Black Rebels.❤️
Trigger and Opal's story is just WOW !! It's quite different from Glenna's other MC series ( Black Rebel Riders'), she hasn't fallen into the trap that she could've by making it similar at all. Once again Glenna has given us a gritty, angsty, drama ridden story, with quite a bit of hot sex too !! She's thrown in a few twists, turns and even some amazing surprises !! Opal and Trigger really are an amazing couple, they've both got secrets but, as with most secrets, they soon come out ! Fantastically written brilliant story ! LOVED IT !!
Wow! What can I possibly say about this book? It's great! It's different from her Black Rebel Riders series, but just as intense. I fell in love with Opal and Trigger and the love that they had for one another. He was her "safe place". He always reminded her that she would always be safe with him. She wanted to be his everything and he wanted to be hers. Glenna, thanks for another wonderful story! I hope we hear more about the Born Sinners MC in the future!
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
Again Glenna Maynard delivers another amazing story! While this is different than her other series, she brings her angst, raw, nitty gritty characters and definitely her alpha males to life. This was a page turner that I could not put down. Trigger and Opal are truly characters that I just fell in love with. This story shows you that true love has no bounds and you will do anything for the one you love. If you have read any of her other books then you need to read this also!!! If you haven't read any of her other books, then you NEED to start NOW!!!
I have to say I need MORE of this story. Trigger and Opal what a great story. Trigger a biker and Opal a pastor's daughter. Two totally different worlds so they think but they have more in common then they realize. Trigger vowed to protect Opal and he did just that or did he? One MC book you need to read. The chemistry between Opal and Trigger is great.
Born Sinner is a fast moving grit filled true love story. Trigger and Opal have a chemistry off the charts. Bad boy biker meets good girl reverend's daughter. Love the love and protectiveness. Hope there is more stories to come. Need more...
Really loved this book and the main characters! Of course, getting to drop in on Foxie and Grim was a HUGE plus and appreciated. Looking forward to reading more about Robyn and the why's and Aaron and Chelsea Joe....great read, as expected from a great author.
So I wanted to give Glenna another try and this was available on Amazon unlimited. I read Grim the beginning of the blacks rebels MC but wasn't a big fan of the format. This one makes me want to go back and give others in the series a shot.
Omg Trigger is every girls dream & Opal was lucky enough to have him. Love, devotion, loyalty, family everything your want from a book. I hope there are more books to come.
Beautiful but a little too short for my personal liking. Yes I would love to read about Aaron & Chelsea. I’m finding that in both the Born Sinners & Black Rebel Rider’s MC these dudes fall in love at first sight often. There are a few that take a while, though too.
Another fantastic read from Glenna. Trigger has loved Opal for years. Opal is the sweet young reverends daughter. All bets are off when she turns eighteen because their fire and love combust no matter what the Rev says.
Really enjoyed this story. I loved Opal & Trigger. I really loved how there was no messing around. They knew they loved each other. They didn't mess around. Love that.
Born Sinner carries us on a great, fast paced ride with Trigger Jennings and Opal Willoughby. Talk about opposites attract well, you can't get much more opposite than an MC Enforcer and a Preacher's daughter but they love each other fiercely. These two have had a thing for each other for years and the chemistry, holy cow, talk about hot!!! This book is very well written and flows seamlessly from page to page. Trigger and Opals story is definitely worth reading
Well she did it again she has a new mc! I liked trigger a lot he was a different kind of anti hero. Even this mc was more wide open yet unique! Opal was broken but came out stronger. This is the start of a great new series I highly recommend it if you like any of her other books you will enjoy this book!
This is my confession: This is the first book I have read by this author and I picked this book up when saw it being promoted in a FB group the day it was released. The blurb -for as short as it was- did sound intriguing so I figured; why not? In hind sight? Maybe not such a good choice for me. Most of the book I felt as though I was standing in front of an out of control pitching machine. Things were just flying all over. So many things happened in such short time (24-36 hrs) that it was -at times- a bit laughable and overwhelming. The characters were a bit odd. The h, to me felt mildly....sociopathic (especially involving her fathers plot twist). The H, was contradictory. 'I love her with all I am but she will never come before the club' <---not a direct quote. Writing wise it was...ok. I could do without H's confessions being told via a memory or flashback and not as a regular dialogue between the characters.
I get it. Its heavy fiction, but even fiction tends to be somewhat believable. I stuck with it to see if it got better but it just didn't at times it tended to get a bit more ridiculous. Like always, this is strictly my take on this, considering positive reviews I am the minority in my opinions on this. At this point, I really don't think Im ready to read another by this author.
