Out of destruction comes hope; out of silence comes profound love.

Matthew Stone is a rancher who finds his greatest pleasure in working in the great outdoors, doing his part in building the Rose Ranch in the Oregon territory. He has watched his friends wed, and accepts their teasing about his confirmed bachelorhood. All that changes the day he is out repairing fences and looks up to see a horse jumping the railing, aware of how dangerous that is, as the last fence drops away. His warning does nothing to stop the rider, and a scream has him racing down the cliff, expecting to find the worst. What he finds instead is a small boy, clinging to a boulder while the river attempts to pull him away.
Sally Jefferson has just arrived in a strange place, and her young son Davy is the only person she knows there. Devastation and heartache have followed them as they braved the Oregon Trail, and she fears that, after surviving over two-thousand miles, she won't survive another moment when Davy's life is threatened.
The moment Matthew and Sally meet is like an echo of the storm that drove her from her home, as lightning seems to strike between them.
Matthew never expected to fall in love. Now he finds himself head over heels not only for Sally, but for a boy who doesn't speak and yet has stolen his heart.
Will Matthew be able to convince Sally that life can begin again? Will the fact that his very touch ignites her soul be enough to allow her to accept not only his love, but his discipline?
My Capricious Cowgirl is the fourth book in the Willamette Wives series about a group of pioneers who are building their dreams together and sharing in both the burdens and the joys. They are far more than friends… they are a family. Though this is the fourth book, it can be read as a standalone.

I have been writing stories as long as I can remember. I am an author with Blushing Books. I enjoy writing both contemporary erotica as well as historical books set in ages past. I love developing characters that are able to tell their own stories. My heroines are multi-faceted women who are strong, intelligent and capable in their own right but find a deep need to share their lives with those strong, sexy and dominant alpha males that capture their hearts. My heros recognize the gift of submission for the gift it is, loving and protecting the women that offer that gift. I enjoy sweet, romantic stories with just a taste of domestic discipline as well as one that explore the harsher D/S lifestyle. I also enjoy writing age-play stories set both in Victorian era where women didn't have a great deal of power in their lives as well as in today's present time where women still find their happiness is greatly enhanced in offering the gift of submission. My hope is that you settle back in your favorite chair and allow my books to entertain you and let you escape into another world.

My Capricious Cowgirl is part of the Willamette Wives series by Maggie Ryan. You don't necessarily need to read the other books in the series before reading this one, but there are some recurring characters who have been introduced previously.

This novel was a very sweet story about a newly widowed woman, Sally Jefferson, and her son Davy, trying to make their stake and survive out west as pioneers. They were lucky enough to meet a wonderful cowboy who takes it upon himself to look after them and becomes a great father-figure for Davy.
The first half of the story is mainly character development and background about how Sally came to be in her present situation. But just when you start to think its all just romance, things heat up quick!

I thoroughly enjoyed this story and can't wait to read the other books in the series!

LIFE COULD BE BLOWN AWAY WITH A SINGLE PUFF OF WIND

An excellent addition to the Willamette Wives series and will read well as a standalone, but even better with the other three stories. It is full of emotions, fear, love, heartache, loss, perseverance, new beginnings, friends, and family.

Matthew Stone has traveled westward to Oregon with his friends, and together they have the Double R ranch that is called Rose Ranch. While the others have since married and started families, Matthew is alone and lives in the bunkhouse. Meeting Sally Jefferson and helping rescue her son Davy is they beginning of a journey of love, obedience, discovery, and happiness. The heartache that Sally and Davy have endured is fought with so much loss and pain, enough tragedy that Davy shuts down and no longer speaks. Matthew takes this widow and her son under his wing, and it is infatuation to love quickly. Their journey will come with lessons, and some will be painful, while others are pleasant. The wildness is a beautiful place, but it also has dangers that must be respected. The chemistry between these two sizzles on the pages. The lesson using the stars was excellent. Once again we see the men and women from the previous stories and how they all work together for the land, the ranch and the special friendships and camaraderie.

This fourth book in the Willmette Wives series is as wonderful as the rest of the stories and includes all of the great characters from the other books. Matthew is still a bachelor, while his friends have married and found happiness. He meets Sally when he saves her son, Davy, from the rapidly flowing river. Sally and Davy have endured hardship and trauma as they travelled west and Davy has been through more than any child should have to endure. Matthew becomes a father figure to Davy while the sparks fly with Sally. Matthew and Sally have powerful sex and their strong emotional connection is obvious. Their relationship progresses quickly; however, Sally does not always follow Matthew's safety rules so she finds herself over his knees with a warm bottom on occasion. Matthew is strong, loving, and protective while Sally is strong, yet gentle with a loving soul. Davy has strength and courage beyond his years and a soft spot for his new friend Hope. This emotional love story had me smiling, laughing, and crying right along with the characters. I had a feeling of being right there on Rose Ranch with this close knit group and could feel the love that surrounds everyone. I highly recommend this heartwarming romance.

I was given an ARC copy of this book for an honest review. This is an enjoyable story about pioneer settlers in the Old West. It is one of a series of books but works well as a stand alone. Sally, her husband and their young son Davy set off on a Wagon Train but on the journey. Sally's husband is violently killed and the shock of it causes Davy to lose his ability to speak. At their journey's end Sally is faced with the difficulties of building a smallholding on her own. Fortunately she is rescued by Matthew, a neighbouring rancher who not only takes her under his wing but also takes her in hand which results in lots of spankings. Sally and Matthew's initial attraction for one another soon develops into a deep love and Matthew learns to love Davy like a son. The story has a number of characters from the previous stories which add interest to it. Altogether a very enjoyable book.

I have really enjoyed the Willamette Wives Books written by Maggie Ryan. The latest book in the installment was just as enjoyable as the other three previous books. Matthew has always been the holdout in the books that swore he was never getting married. However, once he helps Sally rescue her drowning son Davy, Matthew is the one caught hook, line and sinker. The dynamic between the two is perfect from the beginning. Sally isn't looking for a husband because her husband Tanner has recently died. But she finds herself falling for Matthew from the beginning. They just fit together. This book is a wonderful read and I highly recommend it. If you haven't read the previous novels, that is okay. This story can stand alone. However, previous characters are mentioned and the other books were great to.

Another great story delivered by this author! I have had the good fortune to read all three of the previous books in this series and this book is very true to the author’s winning recipe. There were times that I found myself crying and others when I found myself laughing – through it all – I was very entertained and was not able to put it down. I loved Matthew, Sally and Davy as they are wonderful characters that I found becoming more dear to my heart as the story continued. In addition, I was able to touch in with the four other couples that are part of this wonderful “extended” family. If I was living back in this time, I would have wished to become part of this family, even knowing that domestic discipline would be part of it. An absolutely wonderful story! Please note: I received a copy of this book from the publisher in exchange for this my honest review

This is my honest review for an ARC copy. This is the latest in the Willamette Wives series and one I loved. Sally, her husband, and her son, Davy, were on the wagon train. Her husband went ahead to scout when the need arose, dying in an Indian attack. She and her son suffered many loses, causing Davy to lose his ability to speak. They lived in the covered wagon they traveled in, settled in the hills of the Rose Ranch, unknown to anyone. One day Matthew rescues them and from that moment on, he loves them both. This is a love story with the added bonus of a man unafraid to love a boy as well, claiming him as his own. I enjoyed this book, as I do all of Maggie Ryan’s. Great tale!

What a sweet love story. I loved Matthew, Sally and little Davy. This is a great series and it's fun to get a peek at all the couples and their growing families. Matthew was the hold out on women and romance but after he saved little Davy he fell hard and fast for both Davy and Sally. None of his friends were surprised as it was just what they had been telling him would happen one day when he ribbed them for falling in love. This is a straightforward love story. Of course their was passion and a few spankings that Ms. Ryan is known for. But what I liked the most was the pure sweetness. 5 stars!
*I received this book as an ARC, but the review all my own.

Oh my goodness. I have read and loved all of author, Maggie Ryan's books and especially the Willamett Wives and The Red Petticoat Saloon series, and this book is just beautiful. The heroine and her little boy survived traveling on the Oregon Trail but lost her husband tragedy and the little boy was so traumatized that he lost his voice and was unable to speak. Will the love of a new man in theirs lives heal the boy? Will second chances work for this amazing couple? There is domestic discipline and beautifully described erotic sex. I volunteered to read and review this book.

I received this book as an ARC read. This is the latest book in the Willamette Wives series. This is Matthew and Sally's story. Matthew rescues Sally's son Davy and knows very quickly that Sally is meant for him. Sally and Davy have been through very hard times and they are ready for Matthew. There are plenty of references to spanking from this couple and couples from the previous Willamette wives series, but only one good spanking in this book. Alpha cowboys abound in this read.

My Capricious Cowgirl is a wonderful story – well written, likable main characters, a good plotline. An accidental meeting of Matthew and Sally, and her son Davy soon leads to growing affection between the main characters. Some spankings, some loving and the relationship develops rapidly and logically. While the supporting characters all had relationships develop in previous books in the series, you can read it alone – but it is a wonderful follow on to the other stories in the series.

well she's gone and done it again. another great story by Maggie Ryan. If you've read the other Williamette wives novels youll know who i'm talking about when i say Matthew Stone confirmed bancheler he's never settle. Well at least that's what he thought until he sees a lady on a horse riding like a bat outta hell to save her little boy who has fallen in the water. Read this story although there are others in the series each is a stand alone with a HEA.

This is the story of Sally, Matthew and her son Davy. It's a heartwarming tale of great loss and tragedy followed by the hope of renewed love and the ability to overcome any obstacles. The characters are so realistic, you'll be laughing and crying right along with them. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.

Another wonderful addition to this series. I have enjoyed each of the installments and now finding what happens to Matthew and his story has only added to it! Great read, fast paced. The other characters are revisited and that's a nice touch.
