Monstrosities

Rate this book
Monstrosities lurk in every nightmare, in every shadow... and in every heart.

A debut short story collection by Emory Morningstar, featuring horror and new weird tales where things are never quite what they seem. Described as a cross between the Twilight Zone and Lovecraft, Monstrosities features strange tales of every day events taking dark turns, or dark worlds where every day events feel horribly familiar.

This is definitely one of those niche books where the stories are only going to appeal to a very small community of discerning readers, but if you love creepy (rather than scary) stuff, with loads of dark humor, this is very good and will probably be for you. It reminded me a little of Jeremy Robert Johnson's stuff.

Not usually my genre, but found it to be a really good read. Addictive, with a lighter touch than Twilight Zone-type stories.

Interesting

Strange and bizarre short stories that were pretty creepy. I enjoyed reading it. Each story was really unique. I look forward to more books from this new writer
