Elias never saw it coming. The deception had been flawless. He had looked into the dark eyes of his half-brother Qaylin. The torrent of anger and rage rose from the dark abyss of his soul at what this bastard had done. It was unlike anything he had ever felt before or since… A million times a million Cains screamed across the Heavens. Their voices echoed in his head demanding the blood of the betrayer, Qaylin!
Elias knew it was time he stopped fighting from a position of weakness. He had to get up and take the fight to the enemy’s doorstep and he only had a small window of time to do so. He would have to strike while they thought he was beaten, then stand toe to toe against the forces of Hell itself. Somehow he had to even the odds and give him and his men a fighting chance to win. But his ancient enemies were powerful. It appeared as though the heavens had been eerily quiet as if the matters of men no longer mattered to the angelic host. It seemed Lucifer had full dominion over this mortal coil. If that was so, what chance did Elias and his men have against such an enemy?
“The Rage of Angels” is the explosive second book in the CAIN series.
Never has a series had me so captivated by it's richness of story and twist on a age old premise. It takes the the reader on a rollercoaster ride thru the ages, touching on technology, spirituality, biblical references, including the creation of heaven and hell. Yes it starts with the love of a man for a woman...but trust me it is so much more. You are taken on a journey of good vs. evil. It is about the lengths a person would go to right a wrong and perhaps enact it with some vengeance. Trust me this a real page turner. So make sure you have the time to devote yourself fully to the epic journey you are about to embark. Elias Raven weaves his tale with such depth with his characters and their stories. You can feel the emotions coming off the page. I highly recommend this series.
While the first book in this series was an erotic romance, this second book is about a tactical rescue mission. There are angels, demons, mere mortals, and if course, Cain. This story will keep you up reading late.
You know how most of the time the squeal never lives up to the original movie, or at times when a book ends on a cliffie the next book just doesn't quite measure up? Well that is not the case here. Just WOW. I think I was even more blown away with Cain - Rage of Angels (book 2) than I was Cain - Sins of the Father. I have to admit I honestly didn't see how this book could top the first one but amazingly it has - at least for me. Not only in the story-line but in the mechanics of the book. I am not sure if mechanics is the appropriate term but this book shows a marked growth in the author's writing abilities. Mr. Raven's ability to tell a story was never in doubt, at least not to me, but the way this book is written, I as the reader felt every page as I read it. I felt the pain, the sorrow, the horrors and the joy right along with the characters. I felt the overall sense of helplessness and empowerment that was woven throughout the entire book.
For a book of this type to have such a "believability" quality is simply amazing to me as well. I finished the book and simply sat staring and wondering now what? Where does such a remarkable storyline go from here without losing it's grip (because that is exactly what this book will do; grip your heart, your mind and your imagination). I honestly don't have an answer for that yet, but I have no doubt Mr. Raven does and this reader will be standing at the front of the line to see just where he goes with it from here. 2 Thumbs Up for an Awesome Book and series that is a MUST read.
"This ONE would challenge Lucifer and be the catalyst for the next war of the angels..."
I've been eagerly anticipating this release...the wait was worth it! 5 RAGING STARS! What an AMAZING follow up to Cain Sins of the Father (which I HIGHLY RECOMMEND be read first)! Grab Cain Sins of the Father and Cain Rage of Angels today!!!
Anyone who knows me, knows I am a true book wh@re, but up until now I could never get into reading thrillers or paranormal. However Elias Raven created his interpretation of Cain and Abel, which pulled me in and I could not put it down.
The ongoing battle of modern day of good and evil - with appearances by monks, Michael, Uriel, Gabriel and Lucifer himself.
The story is fast paced and beautifully written. The poems at the beginning of each chapter entwines a bit more of the author to the story and made me yearn to be apart of as Elias continues his battle with Lucifer to save the woman he loves.
I look forward to book 3 and what Elias has in store for us.
Parker and Genevieve get on the plane, so she could go home and get her belongings and tell her family that she is getting married. Elias is standing outside the plane, feeling like he'll never see her again but every precaution had been put into action. Unbeknownst to Elias, Parker is being disarmed of his gun by non other than Qaylin, "Elias half brother," Genevieve is texting Elias and looking out the airplane window say goodbye. When the plane takes off, they aren't on it anymore. The next thing they all know is their plane has crashed into one of Cain Enterprises buildings.
After Elias gets council and goes and investigates .. He realizes that Parker and his fiancee might not of been on that plane.
This book is the preparation of a rescue operation and going up against things that are not of this world.
AWESOME SERIES..highly recommend to anyone over 18 that love the fight between good and evil, demons and angels and demons who go after people on earth, and divine intervention.
I love this series can not wait for the next book. This novel was masterfully written. I was on the edge of my seat nearly the entire time trying to work out the twist and turns that were being laid out in front of me. Connecting the dots drawing on theories I have not studied and researched in years just to to have another corkscrew twist added, as I thought I had figured it out.
Loved it. Writing took on a whole new depth in it. Flowed well through the different perspectives and the characters had more depth and more relatable. Storyline really took off.
How do I begin? First it started with Cain – Sins of the Father and I was blown away with that story of eternal love and Heaven and Hell. Wow!! Just Wow! And then the waiting for this book began. When it finally landed in my Kindle I immediately started reading. Was the plot easy to follow? Well if you can keep up with all the twist and turns and mysteries of this of this story, then yes it was easy to follow. The plot line for this book is the oldest story in biblical history, but Elias Raven makes it his own story in such a way that you can’t imagine it any other way. This book is less of a love story and more of a story of battle and war, or plots and deception, which is something I never thought would interest me but it certainly has.
The characters are many and each has his own back story, which Elias does a fine job of weaving them into his tale of good and evil. I was so enthralled that meals were missed, sleep was deprived, I couldn’t stop reading just one more chapter. I’ve never read a book like this before, one that had so many points of view and it totally worked for me. I am definitely a new fan of this Author and I look forward to the hopefully final chapter in this series.
I ran the gamut of emotions here, from grief to a giggle, it was all so captivating. If you read Cain – Sins of the Father, then you know Elias is stretched in every direction trying to figure out how to solve this mystery of his brother and how to save Genevieve. Each chapter bringing him closer and closer, it was a thrilling read.
Lastly I wanted to say that I can tell that the Author did his research and is himself well read. The poems between each chapter were different and really cool to read, each giving their own part or clue to the story. Not a single eye rolling moment here, I loved it!! Elias Raven is getting another 5-star review from this girl/fan. Bravo Elias! Well done!
Elias Raven I am so impressed with book 2! This book is so well written. The storyline and every character has a story of their own. The suspense kept me reading and not wanting to put it down. I'm very excited to read more of Elias, Genevieve, all the characters in Rage of Angels. This series would make a fantastic movie! You don't want to miss reading this series!
I loved reading this continuation of Cain, the pictures and poems are a bonus and further helped me to visualize the story being told. In my opinion this story is beautifully written so much that I felt like I was a part of Elias Cains team. I highly recommend reading this book and look forward to reading the next book this author writes.
Once again, Elias Raven does not disappoint in his story telling. Cain – Rage of Angels grabbed my attention from the very beginning, and left me wanting more at the end. This series is one of the most thrilling that I have read in a long time, and I can’t wait for Elias to continue with Cain’s story. A MUST READ!
This is the 2nd book in the Cain series and it did not disappoint. Whereas the first book was about the love story between Elias and Genevieve—this book focused on Elias getting control of his power and taking on his brother Qaylin and Lucifer. His motivation was Genevieve and Parker.
The book was so action packed and suspenseful and the way Mr. Raven writes is in such a way that you feel like you are in the story as well. The story flowed beautifully and in a poetic way. I do hope that this series continues because it had such a powerful storyline and leaves you wanting more.
I absolutely loved this continuation of the Cain series! This story picks up right where book one left off. It will grip you from page one, keep your heart pounding till the end and leave you craving more. I can't wait for book three to see where this series takes me next.
