This was a great start to the Sassy Girls series! It was a short, steamy little novella with a lot of heart. It had the right amount of instalove to not be super corny and ridiculous. I'll definitely be reading more from this author!

Angsty-curse child Blake is cheated on by her dbag fiancee Shane. When she decides to leave his hoe-ing ass, meets Hutch, her twin brother's army mate.
They get trapped in a house and do the wham bam honka honka.
Uh Did'nt get into this book. Mostly felt like a rebound to me, more than insta-lust/love.
However, kudos to writing a curvy sassy heroine and good sex scenes. Also a sweet-ass epilogue.

"When she nuzzles into my neck and breathes against my skin, it becomes achingly clear to me that I am going to stake my claim, regardless of the consequences."
This was just an okay read. Blake runs from her controlling, cheating, fiancé to the cabin that she and her brother own out in the woods... somewhere (we don't know but she had to take a plane to get there). Unbeknownst to her, her brothers best friends and army Lieutenant, Hutch, has been staying there to get away from the world and heel from the emotional wounds of war.
Blake has the strangest freak outs and hissy fits. I don't know if that would classify her as a "sassy" girl but it definitely classified her as annoying in my book. Hutch always says the wrong thing and Blake constantly jumps to conclusions. They, of course, fall for each other.
Overall, it just wasn't very interesting and had an annoying heroine.

Plot: Hutch is Blake's twin brother's best friend from the Army. He's hanging out in the family (Blake's family) cabin to try and recover - ptsd and he found out his wife cheated on him. Then Blake shows up. She didn't know anyone would be there - she lit out for a safe place after finding out her fiancé was cheating on her with her best friend. Classic. They hit it off fairly quickly, with not too much angst or push-pull.
Character development: Blake is definitely both a hellcat and sassy. She's feisty and mouthy, and a lot of things that are sometimes difficult to pull off in a romance novel (so many times, it just comes off as b!tchy and whiny instead). She was a fairly well done character - not my normal taste, but still well-written.

Heroine caught her now ex-fiancé cheating on her with her best friend. She leaves for her childhood cabin but her brother's best friend is also staying at the cabin. He's a soldier diagnosed with PTSD and he found out his ex wife was a cheater. Hutch and Blake fall hard and fast for each other and together they deal with heroine's asshole fiance.
Sweet, steamy romance but the ending seriously depressed me! Heroine almost dying and then being told she will never be able to have more kids was a lame ending! Other than that heroine is super feisty and hero a gentle, loving man! Worth a read.

Pretty decent pacing an okay book.
This book i enjoyed the plot alot. A curvy sassy "ill cut you" gal getting to spend time with her twin brothers army best friend AND NO DRAMA WITH HER BROTHER ABOUT HAVING SEX WITH THE BEST FRIEND!! No bro code!!!
yes Hutch did have some push away cuz its his bestfriends sister but it didn't last long.
Few problems for me is.. alot of miscommunication between the two cuz Blake (h) was being over dramatic and jumped to stuff.. and Hutch poor dude thought his ptsd controlled his life to have a happy ending.
Also i can't stand how much Blake cried.. i get why but it was to much crying i was enjoy the loud mouth girl who cussed out her ex on the phone.
Low angst, mentions of both cheating ex's only her ex wouldn't go away, no cheating, drama, sexy times, no virgins.

This is a great little read about a feisty woman who caught her now ex-fiancé cheating on her with her best friend and it couldn’t have been the luckiest day in her life. Blake learned that her ex took many things from her during their time together; like self-respect and self-confidence. After finding them together she takes off to a cabin that her grandfather had left for herself and her twin brother, Drake. Upon arriving at the cabin Blake is surprised that someone else is there and that someone else is in the form of one very incredible looking man. It just so happens to be the man who has saved Drake’s life many times when they were over fighting for our country.
Hutch knows that Blake should be hands off; it’s his best friend’s twin sister for god sakes. Even though Blake doesn’t have a high opinion of herself anymore she would never think that this totally hot man would even think twice about her. Oh, but is Blake ever mistaken because Blake is exactly what Hutch wants. So be ready for a quick, hot read that has one heck of an epilogue.

This is my confession: His Hellcat is a solid debut from a promising new writer! Blake and Hutch are everything you want in this type of insta-love, quick read. While Blake did tend to bring the drama, she was feisty enough to make you forgive that. I am looking forward to what Miss Rory deals out next!

I'm usually wary of reading new authors (due to not knowing what to expect), but also always on the hunt for new ones with new stories to tell. I'm glad I took a chance on Rory Reynolds. Being Reynolds' first, His Hellcat was a good debut into the publishing world. For a short story, this novella wasn't bad at all. Although predictable, it was still entertaining nonetheless.
So, story in a nutshell: Blake had just discovered his ex-fiance in bed with her ex-best friend. Hurt and angry, she leaves for her childhood cabin for a pity party and to lick her wounds in private. Unexpectedly, her twin brother's best friend, Hutch, is also staying at the cabin. He's a former soldier with PTSD discharged due to injuries who just found out his ex-wife had been cheating on him. Sparks fly instantly and sexy times soon follow ending with both finding love and happily ever after together.
Blake was definitely a hellcat. She had a fiery temper, was full of sass and cursed like a sailor. Hutch was a sexy, sweet and caring guy. It was nice to see these two hurting individuals come together and find love with one another. The story flowed well and there was just enough depth to keep you glued to the pages. The epilogue was especially a great wrapup to the short story and intro to Drake's (Blake's brother) story. I'll be looking forward to that one for sure.
Overall, His Hellcat is one I would recommend to pick up if you're in the mood for a quick, sexy and fun romantic read.

Instead of finding the peaceful, solitude she seeks, she finds the cabin already occupied. Occupied by a gorgeous stranger. Occupied by her brother’s best friend.
Hutch was also looking for some R & R at his friend’s refuge. After being honourably discharged from the military and dumped by his wife, he needed to regroup. And to stay away from women. Instead he finds himself consoling a sobbing, soaking wet, mess of a girl.
Hutch and Blake already felt like they knew each other, both of them having such close relationships with Blake’s twin. They felt an instant kinship which was easy to embrace and an instant lust, which was less straightforward to deal with. Hutch didn’t want to disrespect his buddy by going after his little sister, but the connection between him and Blake was undeniable. He’d never felt this way with another woman, not even his ex-wife.
They took a chance with each other. They helped each other heal. They fell in love.
This was a quick, extremely steamy standalone romance with a happily ever after. I loved it!

Is this a joke?
I've never read this author before, so maybe all the good reviews are from those who are used to this type of writing. With that being said, at first I was completely offended by all the cussing on the first page, but then she called her ex a mother f-ing douche canoe and I just cracked up and quit reading. If you like obnoxious ,valley girl type drivel then this is your book. So glad it was free. The douche canoe was funny though.

I really enjoyed this short and sexy read. Blake is an crazy and fun women that doesn't take crap from anyone. I loved that. Hutch is a man looking to go forward from his military pass.. And now he has Blake to contend with. These to are fun characters.

Quick, sweet, and dirty

This novella was pure porn, it had some storyline but nothing to in depth. This is exactly the kind of bridge book I enjoy after an emotional journey. I enjoyed this book and the smut was top notch, definitely will be continuing the series!

Amazing
I love this story. Hutch and Blake are a sweet, hot, fun couple. From page one to the end gives you all the feels you could want. I can’t wait to read Drake’s story. The writing and flow of the book is done well. I absolutely recommend this book.
