“Come to Paris.”

It had been a dream Charlotte Duval was only too happy to believe in. But then she’d packed up her life in L.A. and flown across the Atlantic to find that Christophe Marchand had abandoned her.

Again.

She knew when it was time to give up on a man. And it was past time to give up on Christophe Marchand.

She goes about her business, settling into her father’s antique shop as she tries to forget the man who broke her heart. When she makes one final pass by his house in Saint-Germain, she finds the street lined with cars, the lights on inside for the first time in weeks. Bracing herself for the truth of his abandonment, she approaches the house, determined to get closure. What she finds instead nearly brings her to her knees.

She’d been waiting for him. And now she would think he didn’t love her.

Christophe Marchand wanted nothing more than to fulfill his promise to Charlotte. To take care of her and protect her. To let her know him and to know her in return. Then he was ambushed and taken prisoner by the newly-freed Raneiro Donati and his men. As he suffers through their torture, there’s only one thing that sustains him.

Charlotte. His heart and soul.

He waits for the rescue he knows will come, determined to exact his revenge — and secure the Paris territory against a coup d’etat by Raneiro.

But taking out Raneiro proves more difficult than expected, even with the help of Farrell Black and Luca Cassano. When their woman come under attack it becomes clear they need reinforcements — and there is only one man who can do the job.

As the group fights for their business, their women, and their very lives, Charlotte realizes she’s committing to more than a man. She’s committing to a lifestyle unlike any other.

And whatever happens, there will be no going back.

*** This is the final book in the Paris Mob series, and the book that brings the entire Mob Boss series to a stunning conclusion. ***

The two MC's are H Christophe Marchand (Paris Mob Boss) and h Charlotte Duval (art expert, associate curator at the Getty in L.A. father M. Duval antique dealer and restorer recently passed away.

Meet Cute: Christophe is a collector of beautiful things, furniture and art. He has been waiting too long for a piece being restored by M. Duval and contacts Duval's business. Charlotte brings it to him letting him know that her father just passed away and that is why it is late. Before giving it to him she finds an old gold ring with a ruby stone and a mysterious engraving inside,(The fates lead the willing). It was stuck in the drawer. She keeps it. Christophe is instantly attracted to Charlotte and her unconceited beauty. She's confidant holding herself regally and with grace. Charlotte is astounded by Christophe and his striking good looks his penetrating gaze feeling the intant attraction. She thinks she is just feeling horny and lonely for a man. He also has a commanding and take charge demeanor.

Charlotte needs Christophe's help.
When she goes into her father's workshop and is busy working on a piece reminiscing about working with her father every summer when she came to spend time with him, suddenly three men come into the building holding her at knife point asking her where it is? She asks where what is? The ring, they answer. They give her 24 hours to locate and give it to them. She is so frightened that she runs to Christophe for protection. He asks her to tell him everything. He agrees to help her.

Mystery and Attraction
The quest to discover who the ring belongs to and a long lost gold cross with emeralds in it stolen from a Bermuda Museum 15 years before brings Christophe and Charlotte on the run with Bruno Marchand (Christophe's younger brother) hired by Nico Vitale's nemesis jailed notorious Mob Boss Raneiro Donati also after the same things. The day Christophe agrees to help Charlotte they know they are attracted to one another but resist the temptation. But as they try to unravel the mystery to find the rings owner and later the cross. their close proximity and growing admiration and desire is too great not to act on. They fall in lust but realize it is something more but don't share it right away with each other as it is too new and overwhelming. Oh Christophe!

I know this is the end of these bosses but...damn, I want more! Charlotte and Christophe are so hot and passionate. When he kisses her, it is complete consumption and possession. Not psycho possession but the i-can't-live-without-you kind. And how about the reunion? So happy that they can come together to finish this complication once and for all. Gotta root for the Anti-heroes.
The reason for the four stars is because I felt the ending wasn't as climatic. Maybe I was expecting so fireworks and more drama to draw it out. Either way, I'm glad for a HEA and look forward to the next chapter of alpha mobsters.

Wow! What a fantastic trilogy.

A brilliant trilogy and a great story to end the Mob Series. Although I am looking forward to reading Kane's story.
This trilogy focuses on Christophe and Charlotte and it has everything from romance, intrigue and tragedy. I am not going to reveal any of the plot - I hate spoilers, but if you enjoyed reading the previous Mob books, this will not disappoint!
Can't wait for Michelle's next series to start.

The end, the beginning

This book was amazing! With Charlotte thinking the Christophe abandoned her again, she hardens her heart. But the truth of what happened to him, and the mystery of all the violence surrounding the Paris, London, and New York mobs sucks Charlotte back into Christophe's world.

Get ready to fall in love again!

Must, must read! I absolutely loved this series, it had everything in it that you grow accustomed to with a great St. James book. She envelops you so much in her characters that you actually believe they are off somewhere living. I cannot wait to read more about all these men and women she has flawlessly made you fall in love with.

Raced through this book to see what happens next. Easy quick read.
The decision is whether to go onto the next “family” in New York or go back to the previous two “families” that I missed (that I didn’t realise were part of the same series ).
