Absolutely lovely. The patterns in here are gorgeous. The author has rated the patterns as Beginner to Intermediate, Confident Beginner to Intermediate, Intermediate & ONE Confident Beginner. What?! Nothing for a Cautious Beginner? Well, nothing ventured, nothing gained. What's the worse that can happen? I rip out a few (hundred) stitches? Cuss? Throw things? I have confidence in the author. The instructions appear concise, graphs are provided, there are appendices for fundamental & special stitches & she has provided tutorials on her own YouTube channel. I'm willing to try. If success becomes elusive I'll find someone who can do it for me. These patterns are too pretty to pass up!
Mostly crocheted accessories here than garments but the cable designs are pretty good (for crochet?)... I'm a granny square fan so this will be quite a switch for me but the instructions seem pretty clear and I love crocheting by chart. Nice photography. Nothing really caught my interest but I'm sure many will like what they see.
Includes stitch charts and clear instructions. The photos are mostly decent, but sometimes the framing and angles means they don't give the best sense of the pattern and fit.
Uses US stitch terminology; does not include a conversion table.
I want to buy this book and I want to make every pattern. The patterns in this are enchanting and I adore all of them. The instructions appear easy to follow and the photography is wonderful.
A friend gave me this book because I have been teaching crochet at my Library. The patterns in this book are lovely and I would love to make them all. One lady I teach crochet saw the pink hat and scarf and wants to make this so I'll be guiding her along with the pattern. I like that they have graph along with the written pattern since sometimes the graph can make the instructions easier to understand. I have even used YouTube instructions that have been recommended in the patterns and that has help with the patterns. If you are a good crocheter and have been doing this for a considerable time and like a challenge then this book is for you. They are definitely for an intermediate crocheter and not really for a beginner. I definitely recommend this book, it is wonderful.
