This is a book recommended for my brother, who is 12 years old, for one of his classes. But, you see, my brother doesn't like to read and I ended up reading this book to tell him the story.
The book is a love story told by the Morning to her friend Time...The Morning was late certain day when her love interest (Mr. Wind) told her a lovely love story, and she was going to be punished by Mr. Time, yet she finds a way to be excused for such a delay if she tells him the story that screamed so loudly doing.
So, she tells him the love story between a cat and a swallow. The cat is, at the beginning, very alone, but he likes it! The problem is that when you're a lonely person (I must admit it, like me!) the rest of the world can start to think other things and take their own conclusions, which may or may not be true. But, when a lovely and adorable young swallow starts talking and flirting with the cat he starts to feel something that he never had: Love. The problem is: "How can a cat and a swallow be together and marry (yes, he asked her) when by the opinion of the remaining population of the park, a cat belongs with a cat and a swallow belongs with a swallow?".
Despite being a book that has already been published a few years, in my opinion it seems to me that it is quite current! That was a surprise!
It's an adorable book for kids and make them think about very current social problems and that the world is not only black and white, that there are beautiful colors to be seen, which is my view of how the stereotypes should be presented, with differences.
