Layout 6 components to be proactive at work: big picture understand (ability to use broad business acumen to synthesize information and create holistic view of professional environment), situation awareness (ability to observe and interpret immediate surroundings to enhance understanding of present circumstance), future focus (ability to create a clear vision of the future by defining desired results and identifying action items), strategic foresight (ability to use logic and imagination to anticipate opportunities, obstacles and outcomes), intentional action (ability to initiate timely deliberate actions to create desirable future state), and self evaluation (ability to critically assess your behaviors and results and make appropriate adjustments to enhance future outcomes)

Comprehensive and Applicable.

I had a prejudgement when I started reading this book. I thought it would just be another 10 steps of how to be proactive. Something you can just Google from the Internet.

But as I read on, I realised that the writer provided examples and scenerios in her explanation. Making it an easy read. There were reflective questions at the end of each section, which I found it engaging.

I would recommend this to anyone who is interested to the the step to be proactive.

Be proactive; be patient!

Productivity and Patience will help you reduce stress at work and in life. I liked reading the consequences of being reactive and proactive and her personal stories. We don't have to wait to job search until things are out of hand - this leads to bad decisions, and we will end up worse than where we were!

Simple & on the mark

No jargon or management fluff at all. Yet very effective. It summarizes pretty well what qualities you need to have at the bare minimum to be successful.

I really liked this book. Chrissy gave a lot of good tips and places to reflect. My copy is full of highlighted sections and Post-it flags.

Chrissy offers a lot of good techniques. I wouldn't say it is my favorite self-improvement guide at work. However, it is very informative and offers decent information.

This is a great book. I took my time to read it and make notes and apply the principles. The book is ‘meaty’ and full of practical, doable guidelines that will change or increase my level of proactivity. Well written book!
