Yes, it took me a while to make it through this book. It's not because it's a tough book to get through, but because I read it in fits and starts. A friend recommended this one to me.

One thing I enjoyed about this is Gaskins speaks about not having the money to attend many of the seminars given by people he admired, or buy their recoreded programs. He spent a lot of years doing it on a very thing shoestring.

The book is autobiographical, he talks about growing up around gangs and had a few brushes with the law as a teen. Nothing that landed him in jail, but enough to keep him out of gangs. He worked a lot of low paying jobs as he began building his brand. I liked his organic approach to things and wanting to keep control of things.

Next time I read this it won't take me so long.

Book was built on the foundation of a few catchy quotes, especially the one on the cover page. Content felt spitted out without much organization.

It suggest for us to build our brand around our talent, through challenges and tough decisions with patience. There is validity is doing a 1-man show, at least for a start, without rushing into building a team. Be hands-on and learn every aspect.

Very short

Very short and to the point. Not in depth! But for the price of $3 I guess it was worth it.
