Wow! This book ran me through the gamut of emotions. I laughed, I cried and I experienced the intense passion and chemistry that is Iris and Dominic. Amazing work by JL Moore. Beautifully written story that even alludes to future possibilities with secondary characters. It makes for a real connection between the reader and the story. Can't wait to read book 2!

This book has an intriguing story line however the story itself does not seem to carry the intrigue. The author gives up all of the characters secrets shortly after you meet them. They express all their thoughts and feelings to each other on their first meeting. Deep dark secrets that no one knows are revealed on their second meeting. They freely exchange dark histories before they know anything about each other. It comes across as too much and uncharacteristic. If the gentleman doesn't want to connect with women, why on a first date is he telling his entire sordid life story.

The characters do not seem to have their own separate personalities either. All of the characters tell their every thought and feeling without prompting. If it were just one character, I'd say its a personality quirk. However, all of the characters do this. They come off as one dimensional.

The writing style doesn't seem to flow. Its not hard to read but it is written in a way that makes it hard to lose yourself in the story. I often found myself distracted by outside things. I think that it has some potential but that it needs a push to get it there.

Ultimate Domain - This was an interesting story about two individuals, Dominic and Iris, who are haunted by their pasts and have trouble with being in a relationship. It was adorable that Dominic's family was involved and they were the ones who wanted set the two up! These were sympathetic characters you could really root for and the book had some terrific, sensual love scenes. It would have been nice to have a little more conflict. Dominic had suffered from abuse earlier in life, so there was lots of room for emotional conflict. He kept saying he was terrible at relationships, but really he was doing fine. He treated Iris well most of the time and was very romantic with her, so there were long periods of time in the book where nothing was wrong and their relationship ran smoothly. I would have liked to see more of a realistic struggle. Toward the end of the book, the conflict began to really ramp up, which was great and really showed what this author can do.
