Rate this book
Allen Kennedy graduated college at the beginning of the 2007 recession. At the time the job market was tough. After a year of looking and not finding any opportunities out there he settled for a retail job. He hated his job, but most of all he felt that he was doomed not to make anything of himself. He was doomed to work retail for the rest of his years.

Then his cell phone unexpectedly rang. On the other end was an old friend offering him a job in the corporate office of one of the biggest companies in town. Allen happily agrees to sign on but immediately after starting there he noticed that things were... different. People were timid around the office, some were even scared, and there was something not quite right about the owner of the company, Mr. Brockford.

Short chilling read

Allen stuck in a dead end job until a old friend calls him about a opening at his construction firm, it's the answer to all his problems, great salary, good position and a job for life, and that's exactly what he gets a job for life .

It was fun chilling read. It had some crazy moments and i loved reading those. I wish the ending could have been better, though. It felt rushed now.

Definitely held my attention

Haven't read a horror story in a while but when I read the blurb for this book I thought I might enjoy it and I did. It's not too terrifying but made my heart race a few times. Was thoroughly entertained. I normally only read romance books but this was a nice short break from them. Alec John Johnson certainly has a vivid imagination. I thought the ending might go a different way, but still, glad I read it.
