Second and final instalment in the thrilling romance series, Amore.
Run. He told me to run. So I ran. It turns out just because you run from something, doesn’t mean it can’t find you. He’s coming for me. He wants what I hold closest. He wants to lie, manipulate and use me. He wants me to betray him. Rafael. Leader of the Italian Mafia. Love of my life. Father of my child. He’s going to make me do the unthinkable. There is no way out. I’m trapped and about to make the biggest mistake of my life. I’m running full throttle towards an oncoming train, and there isn’t a single thing I can do to stop it. I’m going to become what I was most afraid of. A monster.
Honestly I don't have much to say about this book. It was only okay for me because it didn't focus on the main characters together too much. After the way Part One ended I was left with a lot of questions that I wanted answers to, and I did get those answers, but it felt like they were just thrown in the story and not explained.
This book picks up months after where the first ended and those months never really got filled in or explained. Right away we're thrown in this battle that's raging within the Mafia and of course Julietta is in the middle of it. More characters are put into the mix and for me it just got to be way too much action going on without any actual story.
Julietta and Rafael weren't actually together for the majority of this book and that was also a big issue for me. Overall, it wasn't a bad ending to the story just not one I was overly excited about. I would still recommend this book for Mafia lovers and I hope it works out for other more than it did me.

This was brilliant luvd it
I was dyin for this book after the way the last book finished I needed to know how things were goin to go between Rafael and Julietta things were left really bad between an then add loads more crap things were goin to get worst before better
Julietta really had to strong in this book she had to look after something so pressure an no body was goin to take it away she had to protect her family an doin this she had to get close to one person she really didn't want to Rafael she didn't want her feelings to start rising for him again she spent a long time pushing them down but once she set eyes on him again they came back with a bang even after the way he left her she couldn't help it she did try to be strong an she was but this man is just her everything even when he's not meant to be
Rafael is still the strong alpha in this but in a tiny few parts I did find the mask slip a lil he wanted Julietta so much an he did luv her even though she didn't think he did but she had got under his skin an he just wanted her he still had a lot to deal with some was tryin to bring him down an he would take down who ever was doin he just didn't thing it would be someone as close is it was
Again Bella Jewel as done an awesome job she is one of my favourite authors I just luv her work so much an this was great I luvd how the Jokers an Marcus popped up in this I luv them guys an the way they fit into the story was great I was really like the characters in this i luv Julietta's sassy an Rafael's possessive way they like a very hot sexy couple an I m delighted with how it ended I would highly recommend this I couldn't get enough of it xxx
The story takes place 9 months later. Julietta has her baby, and she does everything to protect her family. Even if it involves breaking Rafael's trust.
This was so freaking amazing. I couldn't put it down. The romance, the betrayal, the secrets. My emotions were all over the place. I even teared up a bit.
Although it's a quick read, it feels complete and whole. I also love how Bella Jewel brings in characters from her previous books. It makes me want to read them all.
This was the conclusion to a Julietta & Rafael's story. We were left with a cliffy at the end of Part I, and wondering if Julietta would keep her secret well hidden from Rafael. Well Ms. Bella Jewel came at us strong right from the beginning and it went all the way until the very last word. Yes, Julietta lied to Rafael - but he also lied to her continuously or - better yet - "shielded" her from the ugly truth of the mafia.
Rafael kept some pretty explosive secrets from Julietta in the beginning, so when Julietta decides to keep some secrets of her own, I was like yes! He deserved not knowing because he did the same to her. Well because of all those secrets, feelings were hurt, words were said, and it seemed they were never going to have a chance to make things right.
I thought, “Well it seems this is going to be like the Romeo & Juliet we know...tragic!!” I'm not going to say if it was or was not actually tragic, but just know that you will not want to put this book down until you have your answer. This was a rollercoaster of a book that gave my emotions whiplash. Be prepared and expect everything! ~ Kara, 4.5 Stars

After the first part, I was super excited and ready for the second book right away. However, once I got it I was a little disappointed in how it ended. I still liked the book, but I didn’t love it like I expected to.
Julietta got herself in quite a predicament in the end of part one, and now we see how everything played out. It was hard to see their relationship the way it was and how bad Julietta felt about the situation she’d been forced into, but she was between a rock and a hard place. She had to do what she had to do to keep her family safe. Though things were rocky with Julietta and Rafael, somehow they got everything figured out and got their happily ever after. So even though it was hard for them to get there, it was worth it in the end. Overall, I enjoyed the book. I wish there would have been more to it, but it ended nicely. ~ Leah, 4 Stars
2.5ish Stars Well damn, this sort of went down the shitter. (You shouldn’t be reading this unless you’ve read pt. 1) This will have spoilers of the first book/part.
This picks up some months after the cliffy. We ended with a pregnant Julie running away after being threatened/blackmailed into helping Ricardo take down Rafe. Welp, IMO, this is just dumb. Who has the most power? One underboss, or the entire Italian mafia??!! It was so illogical and Julie was so annoying…and stupid. This plays out for the entire book…such a bummer.
Bottom Line- Disappointing follow-up. I felt like it went to pretty believable to so far-fetched it felt silly. So much was focused on the ridiculous blackmail, then all the problems (like the cartel) were just brushed away. There are a couple cameos from Marcus Tandem ('Til Death: Volume One) and the Jokers Wrath dudes.
***TWO STARS*** Really liked the first story, but this sequel just sucked. Totally unbelievable and cheesy. Julietta should have just went to Raf and told him everything in the beginning and saved me about a hundred pages of ridiculous story reading.
I understand Juliette was between a rock and a hard place but honestly she became so weak it was annoying. There were too many other options she could have taken. And the point that the boss always has a mistress was never brought up again nor was the relation of Maria to her.
It all started with a night of fun and then an obsession. He won’t let her go but the secrets she holds could not only destroy him but her world as she knows it. Julie has nowhere to go she literally carries Rafe’s air, the next generation of mafia don’s. She has a mission destroy his empire and her family will be safe. In order for her to get close to Rafe again Julie must pretend to be the girl he once knew. Life has changed her and her sass is over the top now that she stands to lose everything.
I will say that this book was a bit frustrating at times and I expected a little more. Now don’t get me wrong I did love the fact that the club members from the author’s previous series make appearances in this book. But certain things didn’t add up and left me as reader very annoyed. For instance Marcus notices Julie at the club and smells baby lotion on her and figures out that she has a child and is being blackmailed. I am curious as to why Rafe didn’t pick up on these “clues” that Marcus found out from sitting in a night club? This story portrayed Rafe as very naïve at times.
Julie was always showing up to Rafe’s house in tears and then wanting her distance after he comforted her. It was like groundhogs day whenever these two would interact (or the few times when they did interact). This book focused less on them as a couple and coming to terms with the situation between them and more on Julie being blackmailed by Ricardo. Yes, Ricardo was a psycho and I didn’t understand why he would divulge all of his plans to ruin Rafe to Julie. Julie’s mother was a mess she has a weakness for Ricardo, loves her husband and would do anything for family, and yet still fails to protect her daughter? And what of her father he was stated to be a part of the gang once upon a time and now he is a mere statue in the background? How come with all these people around no one picks up on Julie and the mothers secrets? It’s not like they hid it well. And for Julie to want to spend more with the kid ( I won’t say his name because in the book it’s a little bit of a joke) she had no issues dropping him off whenever she could. Again I did love the motorcycle gang making an appearance but Julie hanging out with them was superposed to get her to trust them but she never does so I didn’t understand that part.
This book for me just left so many loose ends. What happened to Rafe’s mother she was never mentioned. Where is the connection between Rafe and Julie? They have a kid between them and I just felt like there was no development on the drastic change in their relationship. This book seemed disjointed. Whatever happened to the situation between her and Cecila? It was never stated in the story or even addressed. I think at the last bit of the book when Julie gained a backbone turned this story around for me. But the ending was lackluster and didn’t feel like a true ending to me. All in all this book wasn’t my favorite from this author but just because I didn’t like doesn’t mean others won’t. Please judge this book for yourselves and not based on this one review.
Expectations were beyond realistic after book 1. Book 1 is EPIC! This installment is a decent sequel but did not include the "wow factor" as book 1.
I am extremely disappointed in Rafael. He is totally clueless in this story. As a strong Mafia leader, I felt he should have controlled his emotions better AND he definitely should have picked up on some if not all of what is going on his house/business. Julia definitely stepped up to the plate. Her character evolved from the first book.
Although this story has more drama than most mafia sequels, I felt the delivery of the story could have been sharper, cleaner, and more dramatic.
I definitely recommend Amore: Part 2 if you've read book 1. This story definitely answers all the questions from book 1.
This duet kept my attention the whole way through. I loved Julietta, her sass and humour had me laughing at times. She gave as good as she got. Her bestie Celia was with her for the whole journey. Rafael was your typical mafia boss with his OTT alpha male ego, his dominance and assertiveness. He was also one sexy Hero. Overall a good read.
I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review! Honestly, it seems like Mafia Romances are the genre of the year. This genre is just KILLING IT. And I'm not surprised at how amazing this book was, seeing as it was written by Bella Jewel. Anything Bella writes is amazing, whether its mafia romances or bikers, the intensity and the complete and utter genius that is her work, is ALWAYS THERE.
You thought bikers were bad? You've read all her other books. Well, Bella came out and totally smashed it with Amore. The mafia are hotter and like a million times cockier. And somehow that just adds to their hotness factor. I devoured this in one sitting. No joke. I received this the day before the release date and I literally put all my other books to the side to finish this. Rafael is not the type of guy to be ignored. He consumed me, so of course I had to sit there and read til it was finished. And yet, I'm still not satisfied.
Part 2. Would you believe me if I said it was better than Part 1? Part 1 was the introduction, the "honeymoon" phase. Sure it was filled with action, sex, more intimidation and power and a little angst. But Part 2? Absolutely out of this world. More drama, more action, more angst, hate and love. The range of emotions this book conspires is astounding. All the good sh*t happens here.
If you can believe it Rafael got hotter in this one too. More possessive. It's like he finally came to his senses and realised he wanted Julietta. And that meant NO ONE could have her. No matter what.
"No one," he growls, leaning in close, "no one touches what is mine."
But that doesn't mean Julietta won't make him work for it. What they have is fire. Intense and just explosive. But will that love and chemistry overcome it all when Raf finds out what Julietta's been keeping from him? How will he react?
Julietta: Ok. I was like frustrated and annoyed by her throughout this whole book. Not all the time. But most of it. There were so many opportunities for her to make the right choice. To make a better choice. And yet she held onto her fear. She could have done SO many things differently and it would have resulted in a smoother transition. There were times tho, when I applauded her for being strong enough to do what she thought was right. And to be honest, if Raf was tempting me like that, I would have given in right away. Yet she held her ground and I gotta commend her for that. There were moments where I cried like a b*tch because c'mon, it was sad and emotional. I dare you not to get all emotional over it.
Even though this ended on a happy note, I just am not satisfied. I crave more of Raf and Julie. ALOT more. I feel like they need another book haha *hint hint*. And honestly, I am expecting a book from Vince and Celia, because you dropped some major hints Bella. I can't wait. Honestly, I love all of Bella's work. I have yet to read a Bella book that has disappoint. Amore has, however, exceeded all my expectations and I couldn't be happier. Loved it!
Well, here we are again. The second part to Amore. The first part left us in a pretty big cliffhanger so I was certainly dying to get my hands on this one so I knew what was going to happen. I don't want to give any spoilers from Part 1 so this review might just be a little vague.
When we first meet this couple, Julietta happens to run into Rafael at his club. While she knows the club that she is at is owned by an Italian Mafia Boss, she has no idea that the man she meets and can't take her eyes off of is actually the BOSS. Their relationship after that is a whirlwind. It is easy to tell that the two of them love each other but Rafael's most important rule is for Julietta to never fall in love with him. She does and things spiral. Then we get hit with a major cliffy.
OK, now that I recapped that slightly, Part 2 picks up about 9 months after Julietta tells Rafael that she loves him. They have not been together and Julietta's life has turned into pure chaos. She now has a new reason for living and her priorities have shifted. Unfortunately someone is ready to double cross Rafael and is using Julietta as a pawn in order to get what they want. I don't want to say much more beyond that. There are certainly some twists that you won't see coming and a great surprise from some characters of another series that Bella writes about that has me itching now to go back and read all about them again.
I just love Julietta. She's so strong. Especially in this book. She really shows just how strong she is and how much her love and protection will actually go. Even when she is facing the toughest situations, she remains strong and never lets the fight go out of her.
Rafael. Oh Rafael. In this book we get to see just how much he actually cares for Julietta. We still get a bit of the demanding alpha that he's always been but you can tell that Julietta has gotten under his skin and tore down the walls built around his heart. The struggle he has throughout this book is tough and heartbreaking but it's great to see how much love he can actually have.
"You're the most beautiful woman I've ever seen, Julietta. You could be a hundred pounds heavier than you were when you left me and I'd still think that."
I also enjoyed how much of a role that Celia, Julietta's best friend, and Vincent, Rafael's brother played in it. You can tell that there is something between the two of them and I loved Celia's fight that she had in him. I hope we get their story!
Overall, I really enjoyed Rafael and Julietta's story. If you looking for a different side on a Mafia romance that is full of twists and turns, then this is the series for you. *ARC kindly provided in exchange for an honest review*
The conclusion of Amore … heck yes! I was biting my nails at the cliff hanger that was smacked in our face in book one. Holy moly …
We dive right in with Juliette in labor. With her mother at her side (which she is not loving due to what was realized in book one) she is trying to figure out how to protect her child from the evil that is lurking outside her door. Begging for a few more minutes before her life becomes owned and manipulated, Julie is getting ready to betray the man she loves or loved ….
Rafael needs to find the person responsible for the problems he is having with the business. Whomever is crossing the mafia is brave yet stupid. They wont last and he will find them. Seeing Juliette again has him twisted on the inside. He will have what he wants and what he wants is her back in his bed. Little does he know that his child has been born.
Can I say high five that we get to touch base with the men and women of Jokers Wrath … HECK YES! I cant say much more as I don’t want to say why but I read those pages over and over. What a freaking treat for fans of the MC. It made me miss them even more than I already do.
With a heinous man driving Julie to do the unthinkable will she ever be able to forgive herself and will she survive to raise her son. There is a lot of times in this book I wanted to reach out and punch a few folks but that was done for me by Julie --- get it girl! I also loved Vincent and Ceila – I loved her sass and her ability to put some of the most powerful men in their place with no regard for her safety. I really hope we get a book about her and where she goes from here. The loss .. broke my heart.
Thanks for a fantastic two book read Bella! BRAVO as always! Review to post to Ramblings From Beneath The Sheets.
It's the eagerly awaited second part to the Amore series! After book one ended on a cliffhanger I was itching for book 2, I didn't even have to wait that long but it felt like forever!
This is going to be a hard review to write because I don't want to give away any spoilers for book one either in case people were waiting for them both to release before starting them. So with that in mind I'm not going to say much on the plot, other than to say, this is Bella Jewel writing a mafia romance, why have you not read this yet?? And also, Joker's Wrath and Marcus Tandem may make a little cameo or two in this book, I really don't think I need to say more, that would have me convinced to read this!
I do think this book could have been stretched out a bit longer to build up some more tension, that being said I loved the ending. And with Bella Jewel regularly having characters from previous books make appearances in her new ones, who knows, this might not be the last we see of Rafael and Julietta. I certainly hope not!
I also kind of have my heart set on Celia getting her own spin-off book, she's one feisty chick, I'd like to see her giving some guy the run around, maybe Vincent!
A great conclusion to the Amore series and, as always, another fab read from Bella Jewel.
I couldn't wait for this book to be released and it just felt like it was taking forever. But finally
This book was so full of angst and drama, I couldn't stop reading until the end.
Julie was being blackmailed to take down the man she loves the father of her child. And she has no way out. What wouldn't you do to protect your family, your son, your parents. Would you be able to take down the man you love for it?
Twists and turns in this book that I'm sure you wouldn't have seen coming.
Rafael is still trying to find out who is trying to take him down and we get to see some familiar friends
This two part series was amazing and kept you guessing from beginning and making you freak out in parts
You know when you're really looking forward to a satisfying ending to series? You hunker down in your living room with a glass of chardonnay or a coffee, all set up to get to the meat of a story?
Well, that doesn't happen.
To my utter disappointment, all the stuff I hate about romance novels happens. The plot becomes this convoluted story of manipulation which the heroine could have easily dealt with if she had been honest with the hero and asked for his protection at the get go. Ergo... the whole story was for nothing and resulted in lots of senseless drama and hurt and death which could have easily been avoidable.
As for our mafia hero? I found him weak, boring and lacking in personality. Only at the very end does he express his feelings and it comes out of anger and way too late.
After it the Cliff-hanger ending of the first book, I was so excited to get my hands on this one. Julietta was not who we thought she was, and things are never what they seem to be! What would you do to protect your child? Lie and Betray the man she loves. That's what Juliette has to do, she'll do whatever it takes to make sure her son and family are protected.
"No one," he growls, leaning in close, "no one touches what is mine."
I was a little wary about the fact this books was quiet small. But it worked and I drank so book up[ in one sitting. Amore 2 has twists and turns so intense that you wont want to put it down. I also loved the crossover of the Jokers Wrath in this book. I highly recommend reading these two books!
With how the first story ended I was expecting a lot more. Julietta is pushed back into Rafael's life not by choice but by blackmail. Enter Marcus Tandem who says he has connection that can offer her protection. The Jokers's Wrath MC, oh how I have missed these boys. Maddox, Mack, Krypt, Tyke these names make me so happy, so you know with these boys on her side shit is going to get handled. I like the first part but I wasn't blown away with this. When you mix mafia with bikers you expect more fireworks.
5 stars I was waiting for this book, after that cliffhanger in book 1 i need Raf&Juliette HEA and it's was the waiting was so worthed. I loved from page one to the last.Rafael once again stole my heart with his alpha ways and Juliette is perfect heroine for him I really liked her.The story is fast-paced with twist so you will hold your breath till the end. My only complaint is that for me was short(it's 180 pages but I feel Bella left same unanswered questions). All in all amazing series from Bella, i hope she can write novel for Raf&Juliette.
For some reason when I click the first book it won't connect. I'm gonna rate the two books together as 3*, the first one was better than this one for me but them's the breaks. It's not a brain taxing story but overall I enjoyed it cuz we don't always have time to read something intense. Mafia-Alpha male-easy pleaser....
Honest to God, i gave this three stars because of the few times i really enjoyed reading this book.
My apologies to the author. I LOVE your work. I've read many of your books. This one just fell short, and unfortunately, the conclusion of this series didn't live up to my high expectations.
