Hello! No formal biography in the third-person here. It’s just me, Dan, lover of books, science fiction, peanut butter, and animals – especially dogs. Moose, the cute one in the picture, prefers to take the easy way out when it comes to hiking. He’s just one of the many pets we have. Seriously, you name it, and we’ve probably got it – or at least had it at one time or another. Except snakes, which totally freak me out. Show me a snake; I run. End of story.

I... didn't get it. I would appreciate if within the story there are explanations or even hints as to what the characters are trying to convey, but in this case i just felt puzzled as i read through. If that's the desired effect, well done. But it really felt like the story was going somwhere but it suddenly it poofed away.

I'm really enjoying this new author. I've read his first two books, and before I got into the third one, I thought I'd grab this free and very short story just for fun. Whoa! What a powerful punch of an ending!! After you figure it out, THEN you've got to read it again - and it all makes beautiful sense, especially if you know the history. Best three minutes you'll spend all day!
