This collection embodies passion for fostering literacy in young readers. A portion of the proceeds from Sky Blue Water will go to the Mid-Continent Oceanographic Institute, a Twin Cities organization offering free tutoring and writing assistance for students ages six to eighteen.

Stories for juveniles. Most were good or at least okay.

Each story fine; each forgettable. I've not discovered any new authors to follow. Given that proceeds go to support mentoring of young authors, I would rather have read their work. Oh well.

Wonderful book, very well written, and very heartfelt. I love to read regionally specific stuff because it gives me the feel of living in that area and I love to hear the younger peoples take because they generally have a raw look at what life is like. This was a fun read and I'm glad that I won this in giveaways because I don't think I would have looked at it otherwise.
