Out of Control

The truth is we've all experienced the brokenness of this world; broken dreams, hopes, and expectations. You lose your job. An unexpected circumstance catches you by surprise. Someone you love dies. A relationship fails. You do something you regret. What I want to remind you is that, regardless of your situation, you can find hope in an out of control world. There is hope, because God is picking up the pieces of our lives to make us whole again. There is hope, because he has a plan. While we will experience pain and loss, God will restore our joy and restore that which has been lost. That is a promise that is repeated over and over many times in the Scriptures. God will restore. He will pay back. What was lost will be found again. In fact, we will receive much more back than what we lost. There is a better future than what you are seeing and experiencing right now. You need to know that in a world where so much seems set against you, God is in control, and he is on your side. God is not your enemy. He is your advocate and defender. He wants what is best for you. He wants to give you a future and a hope.

This is a Goodreads win review. This is about when we face brokenness, we lose a job, our dreams and plans do not work out. In my case within a few years both me and my hubby lost our jobs, we had sickness, injuries, and lost parents. I felt like like my world was over and I became paralyzed. But I prayed to God and he told me put one foot in front of the other and I will provide for you and hepl replenish you in all things. And that did turn out to be true. So this book would help anyone who has losses.

I was blessed to come across this book at a time when I needed it most. The many stories and scripture verses helped to shift my focus from temporary circumstances that had been clouding my judgment, toward eternal thoughts of God’s sovereignty. This book can be a life saver for those in need of encouragement. With each touching example of how God cares for us through difficult times, the reader is given a healing perspective ... I truly believe God meets us where we're at, but especially within our pain. Throughout this telling of testimonies, one is given the vantage point of the author’s compassion and wisdom where he reaches out from the pages to comfort the reader with timeless biblical advice.

I recommend expanding the reader’s journey even further by searching out the many scripture verses and references to authors, as well as other insightful quotes given within the text. There is much to derive from this empowering Christian understanding of finding peace within the storms of life. I have returned to read again and again these pages many times, each resulting in an increased level of comfort.

I received this uplifting spiritual read as a Goodreads giveaway. The author presents our current world from the perspective of Scripture reading by infusing real life stories with Bible verses. He illustrates the love of God, Jesus' ultimate sacrifice to redeem our sins, and the Holy Spirit's guidance in our lives in a thoughtful, effective manner.
