Overworld Arcanum #3

Conrad Edison and the Broken Relic

Rate this book
FOREVER BROKEN

When Conrad learns of an ancient artifact that might be able to reverse death, he dares to hope it might return Cora from the grave.
The Broken Relic, however, is highly sought after by collectors though nobody knows exactly what it is. After being kidnapped, chased, and nearly killed, Conrad realized he and his friends will be lucky to survive the preparations for the quest, much less the quest itself.

But the Seers, an organization that gathers prophecies, offers him a dire warning: If he seeks the relic, he may doom the Overworld.

Another fantastic story!💜

Wow! Just Wow! So many surprises, twists and exciting moments. This book was just as entertaining as I expected it to be. Is it just me, or does anyone else want a friend like Shushiel??
All of the characters in this series are amazing. I’ve grown to love them all and I totally want to adopt Max because I think he deserves more love and appreciation. This is book 3 and is part of a spin-off series from the Overworld Chronicles.
I highly recommend this book/series.

The wait is excruciating.

Whether it's the Overworld Chronicles, a sub series, or a stand alone, I just can't get enough. Waiting for the next part of the story is painful as these characters come to life and not knowing what happens next is like losing touch with your best childhood friend. Just amazing!!!

Need I say.

Well this one is bit heartbreaking for me saying goodbye to characters you feel you knew for years is always hard, I still am enjoying these books and will continue with the fourth. Any and all are welcome to start with book one with Conrad or Justin is okay in this case but to start with Justin you’ll be reading a lot and I say it’d be worth it.

Wow

Poor Conrad, I don't know how to express how sad and happy I feel for him at the same time. He has been through so much in his short life. Luckily he has such good friends. I recommend the overworld series.

Impressive story!

This series is much like a harsher Harry Potter series. Conrad has his 2 close friends and others who are his enemies. He's also the subject of prophecies. The trick will be living long enough to see if they come true.

Quite A Few Twists and Turns

Absolutely loved this addition to the series. Still very Potteresque, but different enough to be immensely enjoyable. Wonder how the team will handle their next school year.

This book!

Mind. Blown. Wonderful book. I laughed, I cried, I was angry, and I was elated. This ending is one for the books.

The first 3 Conrad books in this series are very good indeed, though a few elements seem derivative of the Harry Potter realm (flying brooms, the school Kabash game). I prefer Corwin's writing to Rowling's so I'm not overly concerned. Readers who like Potter should like these books. I picked these up to see if I would like to try any of his other works. The answer is yes. The characters have depth, the pacing is good, the plots solid, and the stories interesting. Some elements are too obvious but that may be intentional (his mother springs to mind but I won't say more). A few more plot threads adding complexity and more scenes to develop some of the prominent second string characters would push my ratings to 5; the author is obviously capable of doing this. I suspect it is a book length issue and the added depth might come at the cost of slower pacing. I read all three of these in a week or two. They're worth reading. Enjoy.
