I truly loved this book and the series. I've read a few books by Jack Hunt and have always been impressed but this series is exceptional and I honestly couldn't stop reading till I had finished. I adored some of the characters although Luke really annoyed me. A brilliant series that anyone should give it a try.
I absolutely loved these books and very much enjoyed them all I read are Dystopian books and I have read many books and I loved how the author went from surviving an EMP to surviving a zombie apocalypse it’s like he wrote the first 2 books and then watched 28 days later for the first time and was like wow those are far more terrifying and infectious than your regular zombies let’s throw some more craziness their way ... but I really did like the character development and the story was unique but even though I gave 5 stars I’m pretty angry with the author there were at least 2 more books left in the series and I really feel that the real story was just beginning military start showing up they rescued the people of mt pleasant Bryan catz was killed , alley and Sam are starting to develop a relationship same with Keira and Corey billy and Luke are starting to become decent human beings they all made it back to Hayden with the marines and more towns people and are building their walls and preparing Hayden for the siege of infected and all the ingredients of making a good story excellent are all there and then boom the series is over and the series that could have been never was ....... I really like all the jack hunt books that I have read but there have been a couple occasions where I felt the story’s prematurely ended but an excellent author

Different compelling every book of this series draws you in
I am a big Jack Hunt fan. Many of the authors in this genre feel as if they are writing a full in the blank novel. Not Jack Hunt. His books are full of twists and turns that constant surprise and confound, they draw you in and build a complex and believable story that is full of characters that you remember. This series is no different.
I have read several of Jack Hunt's series an haven't been disappointed. His books are exciting, fast-paced, believable, and great reads! 100% recommend any of them to other readers who want to read a great apocolyptic page turner - could barely put them down!
Jack Hunt never disappoints! He pulls you into his books and you are in the same danger as Sam, Ally and the other survivors. I recommend Jack Hunts' books to my Apocalyptic loving friends. Now I am nursing another book hangover!
My analytical mind was kept very busy...an EMP threat seems more real today than ever before.....it has the potential to send us back to the dark ages.....very scary thought indeed. I enjoyed the plot and the well developed characters....
I liked the way the characters grew and survived by learning to work together and trust each other. A little bit repetitive. Fight off crazies, run, repeat. Could have used a bit of plot development. But overall, a good read!
A great ending to a terrifying trilogy. Unfortunately, this is not out of the realm of possibility. We take for granted the freedoms and comforts we now have and do not think twice about it. These stories make us realize how very lucky we are.....for now! Well done!!
I really liked the first two books in the series. This one I am torn on. It is well written and a good story but the series took a turn I didn't expect. Still a good story but not sure it dud justice to the first two.
I enjoyed the first two books of the series, but the book three introduction of the zombies not only lost me from this series, but also from reading anything else by this author. He had a good premise and lots of ways he could go with the series, but zombies? Seriously?

I like the characters , they came alive throughout this series. Even though they have been pushed around most of third lives, they ended up being good people!
I really hate zombie stories. They're all alike. The first two books in this series were interesting although teenagers saving masses of people is getting overdone in the world of dystopian society. Now we have a virus that turns infected people into a sort of zombie. The author reminds us often it's just a virus and the infected are easier to kill than a zombie. The infection rate is 100%. No one recovers. In the real word nothing is 100%. Even the Bubonic Plague only killed 75%. If you want science fantasy instead of science fiction and zombie type monsters you will like this book. Personally I didn't.
Sorry, but I was with you on the first two books and thought you were building a good story. Then you went down the zombie path along with all the other followers and you lost me. Not to mention, where did all these zombies keep coming from? There weren't that many people left in the town before. Not a fan of this one.
This was a great ending to the story though there were times I thought it would end with every character dying a horrible death. A lot of suspense and a good overall read.
