This fantasy novel is about 3 women, destined to become the Trine, who are trying to save magic from their world of Selena and also save the sister world of Earth. As I read this novel, I kept wanting to read yet another chapter to find out how the story quickly progresses. Each of the 3 main characters, as well as the two main supporting characters, are richly drawn, and very distinctive. I really liked that the characters are introduced, and continue to grow into more nuanced and complex as the novel plays out. The reader can feel the wide range of emotions and intensity that play out. I would love to return to this world, so hopefully Dana will write a sequel!
