Paper Wings by April Green is a poetry book about grief, love, loss and healing. It touches the soul and expands the mind. Full of wise haikus and knowledge, April Green heals with her magnificent words. I love her simple, short poems that touch the parts of you that need an extra hug from loss. The illustrations in this book are wonderful as well. I highly recommend this fine poetry book.

April Green is one of my favourite writers on Instagram, her eloquent words along with her beautiful illustrations make her writings a gorgeous piece of art.

Subhanallah, when people faced with adversity, some survive and talk about it while others survive and go silent, everyone deals with unimaginable pain in their own way. You may look at someone’s life thinking that they have not truly suffered, because they sit quietly before you looking like the calm of the ocean on a sunny day. At this very moment, just remember how vast the ocean’s boundaries are. Whilst somewhere the water looks so calm, far away in the very same ocean, there is a colossal storm.

I read Earthsong before Paper Wings, and I loved Earthsong. I thought this one was okay. I read it like it starts off with her in a relationship (about love), then slowly falling out of love with the person or vice versa, and finally with them breaking up and her trying to heal from that. Maybe it's just me...? I don't know, just didn't connect with this one.

I really enjoyed this book of Poems and Haikus by April Green. The artwork in the book fits very nicely and gives the reader a little more personal insight to the writers views and thoughts, which I truly liked.
