This series has been one of my favorites for many years, to put it bluntly when someone tells me they don't care for fantasy this is the set of books I loan them. 90% ask for the next set.... There is something in this series and its continuation (Dragon Star: Stronghold, The Dragon Token ,and Skybowl) for every one, romance, war, action, political intrigue magic and, of course to quote Anne McCaffrey "those wonderful dragons" divided into princedom's this set of books revolves around the: family of the desert prince, the light bending Magic of the Sun Runners and the greed and treachery of the High Prince and His Daughters this is one of the few series I would call "must read"
Bought these books as they were released, have read whole set 5or more times

MEME, CAN YOU RECOMMEND ANY EPIC FANTASY? I FEEL LIKE READING SOMETHING WITH DRAGONS, SWORDS, AND PRINCESSES.

TRY MELANIE RAWN'S DRAGON TRILOGIES. THEY ARE VERY LOL 80S BUT LOTS OF LADIES. TOR.COM JUST FINISHED UP A REREAD OF THE FIRST TRILOGY IF YOU WANT TO KNOW MORE. (HER NEWER STUFF IS KINDA CRAP THOUGH.)

I WANT A FANTASY EPIC NOT WRITTEN BY A NECKBEARD.

TRY THE CROWN OF STARS SERIES BY KATE ELLIOTT OR THE DRAGON PRINCE SERIES BY MELANIE RAWN. THERE'S ACTUALLY A LOT OF FANTASY EPICS BY LADIES.
