I was born and raised in the small town of Klamath Falls. It is there that I met my husband and had my first two children. In 1999 we left Klamath Falls, headed towards Portland. I have since had one more child and have settled in Newberg. I worked as a waitress in a French Bistro for nearly five years before quitting to help care for my ill grandmother. It was during my care of her that I decided to go to school for Medical Assisting. I had planned on continuing onto nursing, but landed a job with a Dr. I highly admire in a practice that I love, that has trained me beyond my schooling. In the nearly five years that I have been employed there, I have spent a large amount of time commuting. During those times I would spin many stories in my mind with the intention of writing them down. I have always loved to write, but have ventured away from it due to lack of time and life. The story of Neveah and Lilly stuck with me and I decided to write it down. I never intended for it to go this far, or become a full fledged story that I would be so proud of. I look forward to seeing where this journey leads me!

Ruby (Laundromat Chronicles) by Angie Merriam
Ruby has lead a very interesting life. In this book we see how she met her husband Henry. I must admit I did not feel the chemistry between Ruby and Henry. I know we only read snippets of their life but for some reason those snippets just did not make feel the connection. However there are parts of this story that will have your emotions all over the place. The news Ruby finds out is shattering and will have you in tears. Cash tells Ruby about his predicament and we can understand why Ruby hates a certain family. One thing I admired about Ruby is that she did not hold back with her sailor mouth or her swinging fist. Ruby is on a time schedule and she has big plans and it all involves the characters from the Laundromat. Has her people watching skills paid off and will she be the one friend they all will hold dear for life. I am looking forward to reading “life” the full story.

Omg Ruby rocks , I knew this lady was gonna have an amazing back story with alot of fight and grit and boy was i right, she was an amazing lady that had a hard up bringing and started her working life very young in the hard hitting Jazz bars in a rough district, the story shows the way her life with Henry starts and the trials of married life with the old money people.Shows the reason for the mistrust in the two families that could protentionally ruin her gransons life, and the love that he has found, a short story but amazing, cant wait to see how it all comes togther in the final novel.

I absolutely love that fact that Ruby was once and will always be an ordinary woman. Even with all the glitz and glam of the richer of life. Looking back on her life was very refreshing. Knowing she was singer and in a band made my heart literally smile. But knowing now what she is facing and what she is thinking of doing breaks my heart. Can not wait to read the full length Nobel!

Voluntarily read and reviewed an early copy for an honest review.

With this being the sixth installment of The Laundromat Chronicles I find myself sitting on the edge of my seat waiting for the next one. Ruby is a grandmother that loves life. She is the type of grandmother so many people would love to have in their life. I really enjoyed this book. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
