Love isn't the only thing in the air in Chicago. With the crowned Prince of Saudi Arabia kicking up winds in the city, Torin avoids more than just his feelings for Fatima. Tensions are high, as the snakes come out to play. Is blood thicker than water or is it every man for themselves? Who can you trust when the stakes are this high? Newfound relationships will put brother against brother and lovers against each other. Old enemies will remain enemies, but their old tricks are changing. Is love the slickest come up? With each person carrying their own secrets and ulterior motives, problems are bound to come up. Catch up with Torin and Fatima and the people who shape their lives and problems.
I gave the book four stars, because I felt that there were way too many characters in this one book. I felt that maybe it should have been a spin-off of some of the characters, so that the readers would know the history of each character. The book was different, and I didn't have any complaints of the drama. Fatima had Torin's heart, and Torin was wanted by so many ladies in this book. Fatima didn't care about the last name Taylor, and I admired that about her. Fatima had Torin wrapped around her finger, and she was completely oblivious to it, which made it so pure and innocent.
Salimah, should have been more honest with Tyrone. Tyrone had been completely transparent with Salimah, but Salimah instead, closed Tyrone out. I felt that Spydah shouldn't have played with Salimah's emotions, so both Salimah and Tyrone were victims. Spydah was a really bad man, and I'm not sure how Salimah ended up caught up in Spydah's web. Salimah wasn't a bad person, however, the way she treated Fatima, was completely unfair, because Salimah should have stood up to her mother, Jewel, for Fatima. There were a lot of dysfunction when it came to the family's dynamics of Fatima, and Torin. Hopefully, the hurt from the absentee parents will subside, and the issues will be resolved.
Another good read that keeps you following along just for all the truths to come out. I was waiting on the situation with Tyrone to blow up and it did in a great way. Then again getting Torin and Talib together seems like it can be action packed if it’s played right. I thought Fatima was going to take seeing Fatin better so I’m still hoping they’ll get a better chance at making things right. Not sure what Tamika is going to be on but I don’t think she’ll be ready for the outcome as well as Tariq. If Karima tells Talib anything about that meeting all the mess is going to hit the fan. Can’t wait for the next one.
There's a lot going on in this story. This is the second book and they're finally starting to figure some things out. Torin and Fatima relationship is progressing they're finding their footing. Tyrone and Salimah there are some surprises there. It's a mess and I'm here for it on to book 3.
This was a good continuation from book one. Finally all the dots are being put together. I don't like Salimah so if she dies than she dies. Poor Fatima she keeps getting the short end of the stick.
I don't know but cliffhanger seem so blend....I feel Spydah just seem seem weak link in this storyline... Some of these characters ain't matter like Morgan or Anhai
I was really feeling this part. I like Torin and Fathima together but they're young and Torin may mess it up because the females are pushing up on him. His brother Tyrone is seeing Salimah and seems to be falling for her but he didn't bother finding out anything about her. She's a shady character and was plotting on him in the beginning but started catching feeling for him. I still don't like her though. It was really starting to heat up at the end. Everybody's secrets are coming out. I like all the brothers and how they stick together. I'm not with all these Arabs running around. It's like they have all this money and power but are slumming in the hood and being sneaky. They take too long doing everything. I'm bored with them. As for Jewel and Tamika? They are just so trifling. With them as mothers you don't need enemies. They are the cause of their children's issues. I am looking forward to reading part 3. This was a good read.
Great storyline better than book 1. The drama is so good especially how the pieces come together. Torin is pissed with all the family secrets and finding out his dad is in tow. The Taylor men all have a say. Fatima is caught between helping Torin but will her secrets hurt their relationship. Torin not knowing his family background is very cautious. Tyrone is taking a liking to salimah but she has alternative motives. So many secrets coming together but will it be too late. Can't wait for more great job.
Imma need more Of the Tele brothers I love the storyline I can't wait to get the part three I know was about to go down those sisters are piece of work but I love me some Fatima she has the same name as my niece unfortunately who's not here with me anymore but I love it I love it can't get enough of it is time to get bills Afars metaphors both dates are concerned I can't wait to lay actually give their children some love I wish to stop acting up and come across because it's time for some healing out freaking standing. You got yourself a fan
I thought I was going to find out how this ends but it looks like I'll have to purchase another book. I am hooked and must see these stories to the end.
Where is part 3 I need it now. I need to know what happens when everyone's secrets come out will Tyrone spare her life will Fatima make things right with her father and reunite with her sisters and will her and To run live happily ever after?
Love this series and I'm waiting on part 3. It flowed right from the end of part 1. I loved Famita and Torin relationship but that ending!!!! I'm ready for part 3
