This book is a good book to reaffirm important phrases and life lessons. Did make me seriously rethink how I act and what I say, and did make me more positive! I rated it 3 stars because it definitely has a Christian bias, which I didn't really pay much mind to, but that might bother others. And he is a huge amway self promoter. But it's a short book, quick read, and does leave you feeling more optimistic and generally wanting to be nicer to people :)
These phrases may seem very cliche or ordinary, but behind it all, it serves a purpose for these power phrases. If people definitely apply these simple positive powerful phrases in their lives, in my opinion, can truly help impact and change lives to people all around us. These phrases definitely can help encourage others to examine ourselves and to see the real fruit in our lives in my opinion. Thanks for the wisdom Rich DeVos!
I loved this book because it really shows the character of Rich. He was truly a servant of all. This book is simple to read, and it’s a good reminder of what we all should be saying to each other all the time.
This book only scratches the surface of the impact the Devos family has made in Grand Rapids& the world at large

Love every phrase in this book.. Yet, it’s a challenge to practice saying these words around especially in a community that is minding your own business is a mindset.. However, embracing these thoughts, especially seeing everything happens in a positive way, in myself is a huge mind and life changing for me.
I read this book when I was young and I firmly believe so much of my personality has been shaped by having gleaned insights from Rich De Vos on how to make others feel valued while at an early age. Highly recommend!
My copy has the spine all taped up (so it wouldn’t fall part) and sticky notes all throughout! So great to read and reread! I just found out there’s an audiobook version, too!
Its really easy to read and yet have an impact to our daily living. Despite of him startig the pyramid scheme business of Amway, during the early stage, he did a wonderful job of management. By holding this powerful phrases, i can see how he has a sincere intension of building up a unique type of business.
I enjoyed this book. There were many great anecdotes showing the value of the phrases. I feel like I have heard many versions of the message of this book already. Therefore, I didn't really get a lot out of it. Having said that, it is a perfect book for someone who is new to the self help book genre.

Rich devos is such a special person and incredible business owner and philanthropist I really enjoyed this book! Great mentality for someone so successful to give back and be positive seems to break the mold of most aggressive, rich, billionaires
Listened on Audible to try and diversify my own perspectives - at parts was a good reminder of some fundamentals of being a good person, but pretty outdated in 2024 and VERY focused around christianity/religion.
This was one of many books I read this summer to help me improve outlook on life, my mental toughness, and overall mental well being. I have posted several book reviews in the last few months on books that have really helped stay strong during my training for my first marathon as well as helping me to declutter all the things in my life that I don't really need.
This book was another good book to have under my belt. I took away some valuable information. Most of it is not groundbreaking, but an excellent reminder at how the small things we do in life can make a great impact.
The ones that I found to be the most helpful were "I'm Wrong", "You Can Do It", "I Believe in You", and "I'm Proud of You". I think each reader will take away different things based on their life experiences and their personalities. For me, these phrases helped me realize that I need to do a better job at helping inspire others and help them believe in themselves. I have been working very hard over the summer to do just that. I am reminded to do the same for my family and especially my kids. I also need to work on admitting when I am in the wrong. This is hard for everyone, but on the rare chance that I am not correct(sarcasm) I need to be strong enough to admit.
A quick, short read that helps us understand more about ourselves and others. I would recommend this book in addition to the others I have read this summer.
