The ’verse is a complicated and dangerous place, and Malcolm Reynolds and his outlaw crew aboard the Serenity are ever experiencing tough times. When tensions rise among the crew, a call for help becomes a welcome interruption: they must track down a missing friend and the answers to the mystery surrounding her disappearance.
* Georges Jeanty (Buffy Seasons 8 and 9) returns to the ’verse!
* iZombie creator Chris Roberson writes the continuing adventures of Mal and crew.

I JUST found out there is a new series that just came out taking place after the last comic series Leaves on the wind! I can't believe I didn't know about it sooner!!! anyway this was a little low on plot, just setting up this next addition but the artwork is great and I love these characters so much I'm just happy there's more.
This entire graphic novel feels a lot like fan service. The story is OK albeit a little too wordy. The artwork is good without being inspired. All in all, it's not bad but is a little too reverential to the Firefly backstory to be great.
The crew is snipping at each other because they have not been able to conduct any decent heists. Zoe dotes on her daughter Emma and worries about her. The call from a friend for help is just what the crew needs to bring them out of themselves and back into the Verse.
Any chance to keep my crew going is good with me. Mal and the rest will always be a part of my lexicon.
To cap the end of a shitty day, at least there's a new Serenity comic series!!!
The plot seems boring, but it's always been about the characters when it comes to Firefly/Serenity, so I'm incredibly excited to see what this series will bring. It has the feel of an episode. In fact, I'm already crying.
So far *Dear, sweet Emma (Zoë and Wash's baby girl) *JAAAYYNNNEEE (might be of a personal opinion here) *Couples paired off, no more will-they/won't-they with Mal and Inara, Kaylee and Simon. And no drama on that front so far
Not a strong story at all, not the Firefly dialogue I know and love. Side stories have nothing to do with the plot, story-wise or thematically. Just really weak writing. As much as I'm hungry for new Firefly, this leaves me unsatisfied.
I'm not a reader of this type of book usually. But I found it easy to understand, flows well and since I bought books #1 - #6 I expect the whole story will be great reading.
I like that it feels more like the series, even if this would at most have been a two part episode and is 6 months worth of comics instead. Though tying it back to 'Leaves on the Wind' (a comic I tried to forget because I hated the arc) is a bit annoying. But hopefully it will get better.
