This book is OUTSTANDING. It will grasp your attention immediately and keep you roped in throughout the whole story. The characters you will fall in love with, my favorite is Eli he is one of the main characters and has a great sense of humor as well as a big heart. As well as Eli is Aurora a badass women who is battling against the infected by herself until she meets Eli. The infected have been infected by a disease that started with just a little girl but has now taken over the world, it rots at your body and turns you violent and blood thirsty. Thousands of people are infected and they have to die because if you get infected you will die eventually but staying alive, surviving is best. Along their battle of trying to stay alive new characters come and go through their travels and survival quickly becomes the top priority. Although there is a little love between Eli and Aurora, although Eli is my favorite it's heart warming knowing that a badass women like Aurora really can love. Hopefully more is to be written by the author because his writing is outstanding and his dedication to detail is extremely noticeable. The authors writing is what creates the story, bringing the characters alive with each and everyone having their own characteristics and quirks.

The story idea was solid but i felt like i was reading something made by a 14 year old. Everything emotional was so overexaggerated that it felt false. Also, i am a bit in awe of the main charater. He leaves a perfectly good bunker where he could have been safe because he looses the key - and he does nothing to find a spare. I am sure however that with proper editing and practise Travis will become a great writer like Mark

Great Debut!

I bought the book to show my support for a new author and his father, Mr.T. I read the book in two settings because it is a good book! I highly recommend this book to all you zombie fans!

This is a truly a great book

I chose the five stars for two reasons. 1. It is a truly a great read. And remember this book comes from a young author who has written 2 other books. I am really amazed that Travis is really a great young writer. I don't know if he has always written since he was old enough. The plot is ingenious. He took something from nature and not a man made virus. He is very descriptive with the protagonists and how fast this thing spreads and if you are like me and just waiting for a pandemic to start it will scare the crap out of you. You will sink into this story with no problem. 2. I am ashamed to admit that bought his books because he is a Tufo and his dad is my #1 go-to author. Travis I want to apologise to you, because that was very unfair of me. And I want you to know that I never once compared you to Mark you are an excellent writer and I really loved your book. People may buy the first one because of your dad, but, before they are done with the first chapter they will be hooked on your writing alone. I can't wait for the next book in this series to come out and I will be recommending your work to everyone. Great writing. Please keep it up
