Kamala has to deal with the results of her actions as she helped Captain Marvel. She decides that the best way to sort things out is a vacation in her other home. What a touching issue, filled with insights and some action.
I absolutely love seeing Kamala with her family, but this issue was kinda thin and short. I guess she's been in dire need of a break since the last issue though.
Kamala is drifting. After what happened with Bruno and Captain Marvel she's confused and unsure of the roughy direction to take. But even on vacation visiting family she can't help but feel out of place.
Being caught between two worlds is something many people deal with and we get a short insight into that world here.
Kamala can't ignore who she is and what she stands for. Hopefully she'll continue to learn and find a way to make everything fit.
“Other people will look at you and see only their own shortcomings. Ignore them. You know your way around yourself--that is what matters.” Grandmas always have a way to spit wisdoms. I miss mine so much.
I liked that this took place in Pakistan but I kind of feel like not much happened in this issue and I also wish we got more of Kamala in Pakistan than just this issue.
It's disappointing that only one issue is spent in Karachi because the issues that were touched on in this issue weren't given nearly enough room to be properly explored. A shame, but looking forwards to a new story arc back in NJ.
I was very happy with this one. It was nice to see Kamala in Karachi, adding to her well-rounded character. It was also fun to see a new superhero in Pakistan, to give a global view of heroes. I suspect her friend was the hero, but it never said - so maybe it'll come up again later.
