Tess Oliver and Anna Hart have done it again. I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book. I enjoyed this story so much I had to buy the final copy.
This is the fourth book in Oliver's Silk Stocking Inn Series and it's my favorite this far.
The h is Ginger, she is an engineer , she is lonely and her hobby is starting romantic stories but can never finish because she doesn't know how to write an HEA. Well that's all going to change, when she gets the invite to Silk Stocking Inn for a weekend filled with tasty treats and mind blowing fun. Coco the owner/baker of Silk Stocking Inn will bring Gingers fantasy to life when she is introduced to Turner the tall dark gorgeous fisherman. Turner will show Ginger how a real man treats a woman and become her Pirate for the weekend.
Hot Buttered Rum is a fun read with laughter, a little mystery and hot times between the sheets.
I suggest you give Hot Buttered Rum a chance, I can guarantee you will not be disappointed. If you haven't read the first three books of the series..well here's the good part..they have also included the first three stories as bonus reads at the end of Hot Buttered Rum.

Tess and Anna sure knows how to tell one heck of a sexy story!!! Coco is up to her old tricks again, this time she turns her magical Inn on to unsuspecting Ginger and a hunk of a man Turner... Those two burn up the pages !!! Love Dexter too!! I want to get me a parrot who calls me pretty girl all day long!!! I also love that they put the recipes in the back of the book and can't wait to try them out!!! I hope coco whips up more magic in the future!!!!

Turner is one sexy man, although he workmanlike sharing Ginger's attention with Dexter the parrot, “he can get his own pretty girl. This one’s all mine.” His mouth covered mine again. One hand firmly gripped my ***..." Turner can only take so much teasing, “eff, woman, what are you trying to do, make me take you right here on the kitchen island?” I really enjoyed this book, I loved Turner.

Ginger was cute. Just needed a good man…I mean pirate. Lol. Turner was a sexy mf-er. He truly just wanted to please her and have her as his. I like how Ginger was originally going to leave because she couldn’t find Turner but then stayed when she realized he really did want to take her to his island. I would have liked for the ending to be a little bit more. It felt too rushed and just BAM done. I wanted more of Turner….and his parrot Dexter!

Silk Stocking Inn is one of my favorite series by Tess Oliver and Anna Hart. Hot Buttered Rum is the 4th novella in the series and is the story of Turner and Ginger (and Dexter a parrot who flirts). This is a sexy fun must read.

This was another good read. I enjoy the characters and developing relationships. A little similar story to the first book but different enough to enjoy. Looking forward to the next one!

Hot Buttered Rum is the next book in the Silk Stocking Inn Series by Tess Oliver and Anna Hart. I have to admit I was surprised and so thankful that the series is continuing. I thought Mocha Latte was the final book. Once again Tess Oliver has another hit. I loved this book.
Hot Buttered Rum is the story of Ginger and Turner. Ginger, by day is an engineer who is constantly working to show that she is smart and capable to survive working in a man’s world. By night, Ginger writes romance novels. Sadly, her novels are unfinished because she can never find a happy ever after for them. Ginger has a nonexistent love life and is craving to experience the kind of love that her female characters experience in her books. While at work the mysterious banner for Silk Stocking Inn appears. Ginger blows it off as someone playing a joke on her, but she finds herself answering the questions being asked of her regardless. It is Friday, and Ginger once again has no plans for the weekend, so she drives to her favorite spot to try and finish her current novel. Ginger gets lost and ends up at the Silk Stocking Inn. Coco, our wonderful happy, yet mysterious hostess/matchmaker is there to greet Ginger. Not only can she not resist the delicious treats Coco makes, but resisting the sexy, gorgeous Captain Turner is out of the question too. This is a short novel, but it definitely is one to read. This book has it all; a wonderful story of insta-love; a sexy as hell captain, a hilarious bird named Dexter, and hot, scorching, sex scenes that are so wickedly described that all I can say is, shiver my timbers! Hot Buttered Rum is another book in The Silk Stocking Inn Series by Tess Oliver and I loved this one so much! I have loved all of them, but maybe this one a bit more!
This one tells the story of Ginger who is an engineer by day, and the only woman in this company of men engineers, but by night she writes romance novels, but she can never seem to finish them-there is one thing missing! She has yet to meet the man who will give her a happily ever after. It is funny that she is thinking about pirates one day when her computer is taken over by a website The Silk Stocking Inn to tell her she has won a weekend getaway!
Curious, and having absolutely no idea where this is at, nevertheless, her car finds its way there, and the the Inn where she meets what can only be described as her very own fairy godmother, Coco, who supplies her with everything she needs for the weekend, a beautiful room, clothes, and wonderful food, including the best Hot Buttered Rum Cupcakes she has ever eaten!
To top this off, she meets her idea of what a handsome pirate would look like, even though he is just a fisherman, and they hit it off right away! Included also is a great green talking Parrot! They spend most of the weekend together, and you can imagine doing what!
Take a visit to the Silk Stocking Inn and see what you think! Is it real, is it a dream, and what about finding a happily ever after? Sometimes wishes do come true, and you just have to leave it up to a little "serendipity" to see it done!

Ginger is a female automotive engineer is a predominately male world, and her side job is writing romance novels. Her latest story (or should we say fantasy?) is about a pirate taking control of his captive wench. Taking a wrong turn (or right turn, hehe) on her way home, she ends up at the Silk Stocking Inn and is told by the owner, Coco (love her to death!), that she has won a free vacation stay at the inn. Turner is the local fisherman who fits Ginger's fantasy pirate description to a t. There is instant attraction to each other when they meet and they spend a wonderful, fantasy weekend together.
Sorry, I don't give spoilers, so that is as much of the story as I'll give. This story was just as good as the other three Silk Stocking Inn stories, and as of the time I'm writing this review, you will get all four stories with your purchase of this one! That is a great deal for these magical insta-love stories! Now where can I find my Silk Stocking Inn and Coco to weave her magic for me?!

This is the first Silk stocking Inn book I've read and it didn't disappoint it was a very romantic love story. Ginger has never had her happily ever after she hasn't meet the man that does it for her, whilst on her computer an add pops up for the Inn saying she has won a weekend away, whilst out looking for her cove to sit and write in she ends up at the Inn not knowing how she got there. Turning up at the Inn to collect his parrot Turner meets Ginger with the magical help from Coco Ginger. and Turner spend a magical weekend together falling in love. For a romantic love story check out this amazing book.

An inn appears just when things go awry.
This is a collection of similar tales. They all have in common the same story line. A woman, disgruntled with her relationship, mysteriously finds the silk stocking inn usually down a foggy road that shouldn't be in her area. Coco, the proprietor, invites them in for a scrumptious cupcake of their desire. She then makes their stay magical in all respects. They then meet the man of their dreams. They have a weekend to make it work. After the stay at the inn, the women go back to their humdrum lives when all of a sudden in walks the man they have spent the weekend with. Cute idea kind of a stretch to believe.

"love and romance keeps us all young and happy", I guess this explains why the Silk Stocking Inn looks so depleted when Ginger first turns up and as her love for Turner (and Dexter, definitely can't forget him ;) ;) ) blooms so too does Silk Stocking and Coco. I wonder if Tess and Anna will ever give us more into Coco, these little teasers are not enough.
The mysterious Coco WHO IS THIS WOMAN????? I NEED TO KNOW!! I need her cupcakes and the sound of those lobster pies are to DIE FOR!
Definite love story with a HEA, how can you have it any other way!!

I laughed out loud during the first chapter! Hot Buttered Rum is a cute story that had me quickly turning pages, enjoying the easy flow of the weekend story. Ginger, in much need of some alone time, makes a wrong (or was it right?) turn and ends up at a magical place called Silk Stocking Inn, where Coco seems to know Ginger better than she knows herself. I’m thinking I need a magical weekend, but for now I need to dig into my TBR list and read the first 3 books of the Silk Stocking Inn series!

Love the Silk stocking inn! Coco is at work matching up Ginger, a hard working business women, with Turner a boat captain and fisherman. As much as I liked the first three ssi books, this one wasn't quite as good, lacked some details for me, not as "magical"as the others and left me wanting just a bit more...however they did not disappoint on the hotness scale, and that cover is awesome!

The writing seemed rushed and not up to par with other books in the series. The main character Ginger was supposed to be a strong woman working in a mans world, but she was written with a lot of insecurities that just didn't to fit. Overall it was a good quick read and I will definitely continue reading this series.

Another sweet book to add to the series of the Silk Stocking Inn series. Once again Coco weaves her matchmaking magic,this one is set ocean side and it was fun, sweet and irresistible fun! Great Read!
I want to find the Silk Stocking Inn! Hot Buttered Rum is a wonderful story. Ginger has put her career first and is lonely. Coco is the all knowing innkeeper and excellent baker of the Silk Stocking Inn. She knows just what Ginger's heart desires. This series is fantastic and I can't wait for more..

Another Winner
I absolutely love all the books in the Silk Stocking Inn series and Hot Buttered Rum is no different!
Such a nice easy read with likeable characters an easy to follow romance story with lits of saucy bits. I highly recommend all books in this series.

I have to say that I am sorry I didn't read the rest of these books because they are awesome. I loved every word and I don't think that there is a book I wouldn't like by this author. She has yet to write something I wouldn't read.

Each book feels like a modern day fairytale with magical happily ever after endings. The charactersite are so fun and real that I hate to see the story end!
