More like "looked through." When I look at knitted animals, I don't necessarily see "cute, soft toy," though I'm aware that a lot will depend on the yarn choice. However, in this book, the elephant with skates and the reindeer are intriguing. The Dalmatian is also an exception to "doesn't look soft."

My go-to book for knitting toys. Absolutely love the farm animals. The pig in garter stitch was easy to make and so are the bears. My only complaint is that, while adorable, the knit sweaters don't show how to join the head/arm/legs to the torso. I eventually figured it out and have gone back to this book again and again.

Good clear patterns, but I’ve since been using Susan B Anderson’s toy patterns as they’re made with fewer pieces to sew together — bit less fiddly
