Cute but not irresistible as I'm taking this book off my bookshelves. I love Debbie Bliss books and yarn but I just don't think I'll be knitting anything from here. There is incredible detail and beautiful shaping for these garments. Photos and photo styling are very professional. I can't comment to the accuracy of the pattern instructions, though. If you are a teddy bear aficionado, this might be the book for you.
Although I've never knitted the bears, their wardrobes are adorable and I've made plenty of these pieces for my daughters' bears back in the day. Twenty years on, and they are as classic as they were then, and are likely to be for great-grandchildren and other favorite people.
Aside from the French bear, the others have too many pieces to sew up. For example, the head of the teddy bear. 1 piece for the back, 1 for the gusset, 2 pieces for each side of the face. It is the same with the limbs. The bears are all cute but are not easy to put together . You must know how to sew knit pieces together.
