MC MARATHON

Maybe I'm on my own with this, but I pretty much want to one star any book where the H (or h) makes a habit of actively not using condoms. Especially when they act as if it isn't relevant or important to protect themselves from the random skanky OW they stick their dick in :/

AND ESPECIALLY WHEN THEY GET ALL CRANKY ABOUT HOW MANY MEN THE h FUCKED (2), BUT NEVER MIND THE 100s OF OW THE H FUCKED....

Ooops...I went all ranty and caps lock...sorry (not).

Why did I read this?
My hubby's middle name is Slade and we have a naughty joke about partner swapping with our middle names...yeah, it's so much funnier when we talk about it...anyhoo...

But with an h who spouts shit like:
“You look even hotter with your face all fucked up, Slade. I swear on it. You’re so sexy.”
I think these two are perfectly matched.

This gets one star because it was juvenile, poorly written and plotted, the dialogue was vom-tastic, the characters were badly drawn and unbelievable. Sorry. My reading time is valuable and this wasn't worthy of the time it took to DNF @ 74%.

Excellent !!!!!

This was an excellent read! I couldn't put it down and I still don't want to!

The characters were amazing!!!!

I know a lot of people said the main female character was weak or mousy and I get it but such is life! Not all women are made of grit and badassery and that's ok! They have stories too! And sometimes I don't mind reading about a damsel in distress. I think we women are diverse enough to handle that!

Slade was FANTASTIC a perfect book boyfriend and the supporting characters were full of personality!

Five big stars!!!!!!

Wasn't feeling it. I basically skimmed through the book and had to put it down. I like MC romances but this wasn't it. The cover is awesome however.

I was mainly drawn in by the fact that this was a secret baby romance, but reading the whole description, i wanted it. I love a bad boy, and he was an outlaw which is even better, add in a baby and I couldn't put it down!.

Slade a jerk of epicness. That's the easiest way to describe him. Yes he was different with the heroine when he decided to care, and that's what mattered most, but he had loyalty

I wish Olivia had had a bigger backbone. She gave in a lot but by the end she was stronger and stood up for her self.

This was a second chance romance of sorts with some horrible characters and a few twists. I was drawn into the plot because of the whole baby aspect, but that was really just a small blip on this story. It revolves more around a bad boy who has a bad past, and the heroines brother not accepting him for who he is. So don't go in thinking this is really about a baby, because while it's there, it's a small part.

Overall; I really enjoyed the book. There were some things missing, some things that stayed in the back of my mind (like their mother, who needed help but we didn't get to see that) and (how Owen was. I didn't understand it, but at the same time I did) but in the end, it was a cute story, and I would be willing to read more. I kinda of want to read Romans story now! 3.5 stars #2OCCJD

I am extremely happy with this book. It's got everything to keep you entertained. It's rough and tough. But it'd also got its sweet moments. I love that in a book how it keeps the reading fresh. Loved the story and the characters. Must say was an overall great read.

The Knight Brothers only get better and better and this time it’s all Slade. The brothers had to come home to bury the SOB father they had; six feet under was not far enough for the boys with everything their dad put them and their mother through. While at the cemetery Slade noticed that his long ago girlfriend, Liv was there but before he got a chance to go to her she was pulled away by some other man. At one time Slade was so in love with Liv that the two of them had planned to hit the road together but before that happened Slade had just picked up and left one night without a word to Liv. Now years later Liv still has feelings for Slade and wants to know why the hell he left her behind.

Liv is now in a relationship with Walker which was set up by her police officer brother, Owen. Liv doesn’t love Walker as a matter of fact she looks for any excuse to not have sex with Walker which eventually lands her in a lot of trouble. One night she was so desperate not to have sex with him that she tells him that she is pregnant but now that lie is coming back to haunt her. Walker is gone a lot and is just one step away from getting physically abusive with Liv so when Liv has the opportunity to talk to Slade she needs to find out why he left her behind all those years ago.

Slade has been on the road riding outlaw free of any obligations but upon seeing Liv he decides to stick around town for a while only to find out that Liv is pregnant by the man she is living with. Once Liv proves to Slade that she is not pregnant by Walker, she only turns up to be pregnant shortly after her lie was discovered by Slade. Who is the for real baby daddy and will it affect her relationship with Slade? And why did Slade leave her behind all those years ago? Slade has a lot of decisions to make with everything that has been happening in his life including does he finally accept to wear the cut of the biker club he has been associated with? Either way Slade is the outlaw bad boy that Liv still has deep feelings for.

This book is full of some pretty steamy scenes with the newly united couple and it has suspense that will keep you reading this book nonstop because of how it draws you in. You definitely will not go wrong by reading this hot read on Slade Knight.

I wanted to enjoy this and a small part of me did but mostly I kind of wanted it to end. There was a lot of eye rolling from me throughout this.

*sigh*

Basically we have Liv. A grown woman who is afraid of standing up for herself and obviously in love with the bad boy.
This bad boy, Slade, is one of those brooding, I'm not good for anyone types. You know the one, my life is hell so I'm going to be a jerk and a man whore.
I thought the premise of this sounded good but it wasn't at all what I'd expected.
The relationship with Walker wasn't at all described properly enough for you to really understand the 'forcefulness' of it. He was barely in the story really. Sure he was a dick but there wasn't a lot to him and I think if there was more to their relationship and him it could have been better. She said he was nice at first didn't she? Where was this niceness? It would have been good to see bits and pieces of his good side rather than 'yep the jerk boyfriend is a jerk'.
Owen was a complete arse and didn't get punished for abusing his job. That bugged me a lot. Yes daddy issues but he was using his power for all the wrong reasons and no one seemed to bat an eyelid.

"Boys with father issues will be boys right?"

Liv.
She annoyed me.
That's all I have to say about her.

Oh yeah and the sexy steamy scenes? I couldn't help but cringe most of the time.
Really, the word engorged was actually used? I had to laugh.

I'm sorry to those who enjoyed this. I struggled with it I really did. Most of the writing was well done but it just wasn't for me.

This Crazy Forbidden Thing: A Bad Boy Secret Baby is book 2 of the Knight Brothers Series by the awesome London Casey. London have done it again! I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book and borrowed from Kindle Unlimited to write my honest review. The Knight Brothers books are getting better and better and in this issue we get Slade's story, the youngest of three brothers who were abused by their father. The brothers are in town to bury their worthless father and at the same time they were at the cemetery Slade got a glimpse at his old girlfriend, Olivia, but before he got a chance to talk to Liv, she's pull away by Walker. Slade and Olivia were childhood sweethearts even though there were a lot of people who would not approved the relationship, specially Liv brother Owen. Owen is a cop and he would love to put Slade away forever. This book is full of steamy scenes, sexy bikers, great characters, drama, secrets, lots of action, suspense, intrigue, murder, dirty sex and romance. Go buy the book. Will Slade make things right for Olivia? Will Liv ever be free of Owen's control? Will Liv and Slade get their HEA? Can't wait to read the next Knight Brother novel !!!!

This story just captivates you right from the start! Olivia has been in love with Slade for what seems like forever, but her brother went through some underhanded stuff to have him arrested when Danny died. Could Slade have done it? Olivia (Liv) as Slade calls her leaves town right after without a word. Five years go by and Liv is stuck in a situation dating a guy of her brothers choosing and she is so miserable in fact so miserable that when she runs out of excuses she tells him she is pregnant. Slade has come back to town for his fathers funeral and he is staying hoping to see Liv but will his past interfere? This story is steamy of course but there is a lot of truths and discovery for Liv and Slade and your heart is in your throat reading to see what happens next!

I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book..

Another terrific story from London Casey! Slade's story is a lot better than his brother Roman's story. This one has lots of drama and heartbreak throughout. The storyline flowed smoothly throughout. The characters were well-developed and easily relatable. It's fast paced with those characters you love to hate and then tent to like by the end except for one! The author reels you in and gets you hooked at the very beginning. I can't wait to read Caine's story.

Forbidden love

Something that started as teenagers. Then ripped from their grasp. Reconnected after a few years.
Slade and Liv were together. Her brother ran him out of town. She was heartbroken. He returned after his farther past. He was never going to let her go again.
Her brother has some issues going on with him.
Their are twist and turns, ups and downs. Have to go thru all the emotions to get to happy ending.

Goodness this couple Olivia and Slade sure had their hearts ripped out and full of drama for years. All because of someone's idea of protection, geesh. I enjoyed reading this books about the hardships of their lives. I would recommend this book to others to read, it was deep but good.

Another good book from London. Good that it was slightly different from the mainstream MC stories but still had all the necessary grit, muscle, action and heat. Characters with complex pasts were struggling to overcome what life kept throwing at them. Enjoyable read.

Wow...This book had a lot going on.

Secret baby, second chance romance, MC, raw sexiness--this book plot had a lot going on. And, somehow, it all weaves together.
There were a few editing mistakes, but not enough to interrupt the flow of the story.

Crazy

Great start. Characters were ok. Started to be too stretched out and I just wanted it to end because I got bored. Kind of picked up but then it got too far fetched for me. The whole Walker aspect was too dragged out. Good ending. Not a perfect book but it was ok.

I didn't read the first story of the oldest Knight brother but I really don't need to. Kept me guessing up til the end, told in both p.o.v., hea, oh and we will get some action later in this story.

Roman only showed up a couple of times and this was mostly centered on the youngest of th r three Knight brothers Slade. He is an alpha bad boy that loves to ride his bike and live on the open roads, his freedom. But he wasn't always running away, he did have one woman that crawled her way into his heart and stayed there before and during his ride of freedom. He made a deal with her police brother to leave town and leave Olivia alone. Years later fate stepped in and brought these two together for a short few minutes, then months later and their loved re-blossomed but for how long. Olivia has lots of baggage in her life and her brother is at the center and the start of it all and he is the reason why Olivia is only living as a shell of her self.

London Casey is an astounding writer/author in her own right. She knows how to pull you into a book and then BAM she goes in for the kill. By that I mean she makes sure you do not want to put the book down. You are so absorbed into the book you just can’t think of anything else. She keeps you at the edge of your seat and on the verge of a near heart attack waiting to see what happens next. “This Crazy Forbidden Thing” is the second book in the series about three brothers who make their own way in life after a child hood of abuse from a very abusive dad. This book has just about anything one could want in a book. It has a cocky yet gorgeous hero, a heroine that needs saving from an over protective brother his goon for a friend, betrayal, murder, mystery, seduction, and sizzling sex scenes. Trust me when I say you do not want to miss this book. It is recommended for mature readers 18 and older.

Slade Knight is the youngest of the Knight brothers and he caught most of the abuse from their dad. Though he does not have a professional career like his two older brothers Roman and Caine, he does know his way around automobiles and is very good at fixing them and rebuilding them. Slade is on the road after being attacked by his boss and his daughter in hopes to steal all his money back they had paid him. While traveling to nowhere in particular he receives a phone call from his brother Caine telling him that their father died. So, he goes home to Daystron to help bury his abusive father and settle his estate. Which he is left doing since his brother Roman had to get home to his pregnant girlfriend, and Caine had to get back to his hockey league. He was run out of his hometown on trumped up charges by Owen, the cop brother of the only girl he will ever love, and that is Liv. Owen didn’t want Liv with Slade so after he concocts the reason to get Slade out of town, he pushes his rich friend Walker on Liv so that he could keep her in his control. Of course, Walker nor Owen are not happy that Slade is back in town. They do everything in their power to keep Liv away from Slade.

Liv is so distraught over the fact that Owen and Walker show up at the diner after a customer swats her on the butt to make the customer pay for touching her. So, she devises a fake pregnancy to keep a drunken Walker from touching her. But the plan gets out of hand when Walker tells her brother, and then her mother over hears her and Owen discussing the pregnancy. She needs someone to talk to so hunts up Slade. She explains the situation to him, and him not believing her, makes her take a pregnancy test right in front of him to prove she wasn’t pregnant with Walker’s baby. They get one night together and then Slade is forced out of town again. Trying to get over her he joins up with the MC that his friend Ace belongs too. Then before he knows it Liv is there and she now pregnant with his baby, and he must get her out of her brother’s control and away from Walker or they will take her, his baby, and his freedom from him. Will Liv and Slade ever be free of Owen and his control? Will Slade ever be able to prove to Owen that he will love and take care of Liv and their baby? Will Owen ever man up to his faults and grieve for the death of his father?

No Spoilers. Advanced Reader Copy read voluntarily.

*I received an ARC copy for my HONEST review*

I tried to love this book I really tried but I just couldn't do it. It's a shame really seeing as I really liked The Man. The Game. The Baby. The new covers for both books are bomb though.

There are some things that didn't let me love this book first there's Liv God she's a mess she sys the stupidest things and believes it's not her fault she says it. Like when she tells Walker she is pregnant OMG when I first started to read this book I thought Walker beaten her up nd that's why she tells him so he stops but Noooooo she tells him so So yeah she's always saying stupid things and playing the victim and it's always confused. When in reality she is just a stupid, dumb and a mess.

Another thing is I may not be a man or an outlaw but even I know all the hugging between men in this book needs to stop. It's just so annoying I get the point where fighting each other and being ok the next minute is normal because I do that all the time with my sister but do they need to hug?? I don't think so I don't hug my sister and I'm a super girly girl so I just can't understand why big bad criminals need to hug each other.

Ah, I can't forget the stupid lines that were in this book; firs one "There was a sense of freedom, not needing to worry about anything since I was already pregnant" sure Olivia there's only that to worry about when you are having sex, never mind the STD's that this guy may have. Because people if you are reading the same book as me you would know

"She smelled of morning breath and it made my cock hard..." Oh Slade, I'm sure is very normal that a stinking breath turns you on. It happens to the best of us Not. What The Hell I can't even stand my own morning breath so I'm sure I'm not alone on this when I say morning breath does not turn people on. This is only two but there are a lot more stupid lines in this book especially from Olivia.

Something that I could deal with but still found annoying was the italic at the end of each chapter or scene. It's like I get it is the end or even when something dramatic is about to happen but it was at the end of every chapter and scene.

I'm not really sure what happened with this author in this book but I know she can do better. I was really excited about reading Slade story but after reading it I'm really disappointed. Nothing against the people who like it I'm just giving my opinion.

Wow, literary lunacy, this book is nuts, it had my emotion absolutely battered!
From the outset, there was only ever one girl for Slade but they were polar opposites, Olivia the daughter of a police officer and Slade, well let’s just say he is as far from first choice of suitor for a cop’s kids as you could get and her brother is willing to stop at nothing to make sure that any dream they have of being together stays just that…a dream.
He is willing to do whatever it takes to keep them apart and up until Slade rolls back into town following the death of his father, I would have said he had achieved his goal. But back in town, there was only ever one way that this was going to end up, it was just how they were going to get there that had me frantically flipping through the pages.
Slade has been on the road almost the entire time he’s been gone with his brother’s in the Savage Viper’s MC and as for Olivia, well let’s just say that she is stuck in a relationship that she just doesn’t seem to be able to find the strength to walk away from, corralled by a man that she loathes but just happens to be besties with her ass of a brother, Owen!
One look, from the second they set eyes on each other again and their chemistry was set to spark, it was almost incendiary, the flicker of love that had never truly disappeared didn’t take much to rekindle and when it did the result was so much more than either of them had anticipated!
Because it’s not just the two of them anymore and there are more than a few unhappy people in the frame when news of her pregnancy becomes known. But this is something that neither one of them is willing to walk away from, they want their baby and they are going to do whatever they have to do to get their happy ever after. And the obstacles just keep on coming!
They are really but through the wringer but I had absolutely no doubt that they could finally get what they should have had all along before life and interfering family got in the way.
Be prepared for a crazy ride with some characters that you will absolutely adore and some that will have you ready to punch their lights out. Olivia’s brother and her partner Walker were guys that I could have quite willingly beaten with a stick, pompous fools!!!
But Olivia and Slade, well I couldn’t get enough of them…fantastic story!

I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.

After watching her boyfriend Walker rough up a patron for feeling her up at the diner where she works, Liv realizes just how possessive and abusive Walker is. Walker is her brother Owen's close friend. Owen has taken over the role of father figure in Liv's life and he and Walker take it upon themselves to protect Liv....well more like control her. According to Walker, Liv is his and only his, his to touch, his to possess.
Slade is back in town. He has come, along with his brothers, to attend a funeral. Liv and Slade share a past. That was before he became an outlaw biker, before he was run out of town by Owen. Owen and Walker know that Slade being in town is bad news, so Walker decides he and Liv should leave town. Liv has other plans. Liv and Slade have an emotional and physical connection that has never been broken, and her brother and Walker both know this. A run in with Owen brings Walker and Slade face to face. Thanks to the handcuffs on Slade, Walker tries to show Slade who's boss. Walker's message? Stay away from Liv. That only makes Slade more determined, until he learns Liv is carrying Walker's baby. That should matter, right? Another man's baby. Slade cannot believe it. He knows they belong together, always did, but she's carrying another man's baby. Everything went down bad and Slade was forced to leave, the first time. This time? No, things are gonna go a little differently. Slade learns the baby is a ruse, a way to keep Walker's hands off her. Even with that knowledge, Slade and Liv can never be together. Owen is a cop and he would love to put Slade away for anything he could pin on him. Slade leaves. The life he turns to, to try to forget about Liv, may be his undoing.

Well Done

I want you to know I really enjoyed the book, and will be on the lookout for more of your work.Slide was a bad ass and not in a bad way,I liked that about him,and Liv finally stood up for her self and I liked that because she always seems to let her brother tell her what to do,so I was glad when she finally stopped letting him rule their lives. But what I loved the most was the HEA.You keep writing and I will keep reading.
