Serial dater, Cree Jordan, has lovephobia. But she's going to have to get over it because the only two men she’s ever cared for are back in her life at the same time and on the same airplane. All three are stranded at an airport and it’s a long layover in more ways than one.
Cree Jordan is a young female who is nice person who has been hurt in her past. She was hurt by one relationship and has caused damaged to another relationship. The hurt she feels has caused her to close her heart to love. Can she let go of the pain of the past to allow her heart to open up and love again?
Rhonda McKnight and Sherri Lewis has done an excellent job with weaving this story. You are captured at the beginning of the story and the story just flows. I love the descriptions of Paris and Kenya. I found myself googling certain places in the story.
If you are looking for a well written page turner this book is for you. Congratulations Rhonda McKnight and Sherri Lewis on your current 5 star read.
What happens when you put two amazing storytellers together? You get a page-turner like Love a Little. I met Cree before in the Jordan series and I couldn't wait to get her story. I wasn't prepared for the fast-paced, crazy shenanigans in Love A Little. There is an airplane scene that was so vivid, that I felt every moment - I laughed, I squirmed, I rolled my eyes and I smiled with Cree during her moments of tenderness. I also met Wayne and David and both men had me feeling two very different reactions. A takeaway for me as a single woman is that what God has for you is yours. Time, Space and Circumstance cannot interfere with God plans. A satisfying conclusion had my heart smiling. Kudos to Rhonda and Sherri for their collaboration! I am now eagerly anticipating Dream A Little as I am given a sneak peek at the end of the book.
What do you expect when two of your favorite Christian fiction writers get together? An amazing, well written read that you truthfully wish would continue or at least be a tv series. Because of her past, Cree Jordan has become a serial dater, but that comes to the front when she is going out of the country for her sister's wedding and has to sit on the plane between two of her ex's. This story was just such an amazing read, and as far as Wayne is concerned, he can just go kick rocks, or maybe he can be eaten by a lion. Loved this book and can't wait for the next book in the series.
I absolutely love how this boom is such a reminder of how ALL things work together FOR us no matter our past and or mistakes. I enjoyed how this boom showed that you can have a beautiful redemptive love story even when you try to self preserve from shame from your past. Rhonda don't disappoint in her writing 👏🏾
Serial dater, Cree Jordan, has lovephobia, but she's going to have to get over it soon because she's on an 8-hr flight to Paris, in route to Kenya for her sister’s wedding stuck sitting between the only two men she's ever loved. One man she took our school loans for to pay for his medical treatments, only to be dropped when he was in remission. Now he says he’ll pay her back if her can get an invite to the wedding. $30,000 would definitely pay off the remainder of the loan and give her money to invest in her greeting card business, oh, year, he wants her back! Spending time with the other man shows her he was her one true love, who she feels guilty for dumping when she returned to Wayne to help him through his illness without telling him why they were breaking up. Being dumped caused her to live a life running when anyone got too close. Then a flight cancellation leaves them stranded in the "City of Love" for 24 hours. Will she be able to get over her past to let herself love again? True love prevails with the man who was worth of her.
Cree finds herself seated between two men on a plane, both of whom she has loved in the past. The chance meeting by these three bring back some of Cree's most heartbreaking memories. Cree doesn't feel she should be loved by David because of a decision she made in the past. Wayne on the other hand who broke her heart, she knows has some ulterior motive for wanting to get back with her. I was really pleased with the way these authors put this story of love and forgiveness together
This was a nice inspirational romance, I am firm believer that everything happens for a reason, sometimes we do not know what that reason is but if we have faith and trust God he will always reveal it to us. Cree was in love with two men and she had to go through a hard time with one for God to show her what real love was and made her wait until he knew they both would be ready. I enjoyed this page turner and would love to see more from these two authors together.
Cree is caught between the guilt of her past and her secret. Love can overcome a multitude of faults is the only way to describe this story. I would have loved to see more scriptures as I did in Gage and Raine's story, but the inspiration and family devotion are truly inspiring. Having a Kenyan son-in-law, I loved all the spot on views of life in Nairobi.
Enjoyed the ups and downs of Cree's journey. The flash back in time and all of the memories made for an amazing story-line. Love and forgiveness and justice bring things to a happily ever after ending with many tears sprinkled in.
This book was the best book out of the three part series. I thoroughly enjoyed it. As I was reading the book, I was anxiously trying to figure out what was going to happen next. The ending was also perfect. Rhonda did a great job with this book.
Great story filled with drama, misunderstandings, manipulation and restoration. I laughed, enjoyed Cree and David getting reacquainted and the love of the Jordan family.
The book evokes many emotions. Cree is humorous and will make you laugh out loud. But she has endured pain on the path to love. This girl had three guys pursuing her in just a matter of hours. But David was a man after Cree-Ann's heart.
These two dynamic authors have created a trio of remarkable books! The stories were absolutely amazing and poignant. The lessons taught were appropriately written. Read all three books and thank the authors.
I chose to read this book as part of the Adult Reading Round Table discussion on Christian and Inspirational fiction.
I will disclose upfront that I am not a Christian, nor do I identify as belonging to any specific religion. I chose this book to read as it is something out of my wheelhouse and I am trying to read more books written by and about women of color.
Cree Jordan is a hard working, intelligent woman who strays away from commitment after a long term relationship left her sour. Unfortunately for her, due to circumstances with the airline, she is forced to sit between the ex boyfriend who ruined her life and took $30k from her, and the "one who got away" during an international flight to Paris. After another flight cancellation leaves them stranded in Paris for 24hrs, Cree must navigate her feelings toward her ex, Wayne, and her newly developing romantic feelings toward all around good guy, David.
The romance aspect of this book was well done and I thought the characters seemed real and interesting. I loved Cree as a character because she never once succumbed to Wayne's attempts to get her back. She stood her ground and remained strong. I also liked her sisters a lot, especially when they got back at Wayne in the end. Beautiful and exactly what he deserved. I wish the book was a little longer so we could get more of a sense of who David was. It's a short novel and I think a little extra content would have made me enjoy the characters a bit more, aside from Cree.
Note: There is a large part of the book that talks about Cree having an abortion in the past and what David will now think of her once he finds out. I think it's important for readers to know this in case it changes your opinion if you'd want to read this or not, as it is a topic that many women have strong feelings about.
I just had to read it right away. I read Brooke's story in Give a Little, Gage's story in Live a Little and now Cree's story, Love a Little. I was not disappointed! Cree's heart broken past that seem to be dictating her future was brought to the present in a matter of days while on a flight to Kenya. Could this really be happening...two men from her past seeming to want to be a part of her life, her forever. One hurt her heart and the other held her heart. Love a Little is a page turner that address many hush hush but serious issues. The Jordan family support is amazing as they help Cree sort through her hidden truth to her heart ache. I am looking forward to the next book in the Jordan Family Series, Dream a Little (Arielle's story). Thanks Rhonda Mcknight and Sherri Lewis for bringing Cree's story to life.
Let me preface this by saying Rhonda Mcknight is one of my most favorite authors. So when this book came out I bought it no questions asked. This book is the story of Cree Jordan and her quest for love. When the book opens we are in Atlanta GA with cree just leaving a greeting card conference when she bumps into in her ex Wayne. Then her ex David and the story takes off from there. Cree is on her way to Kenya for her sister Brooke's wedding and Guess What, yep so are they. This story was fast paced and I enjoyed the interaction between the characters. Even though I loved David. I absolutely loved Cree. She was sweet, spicy and sassy. She also just wanted to be loved. I can't wait for the next book in this series.
Love A Little is a quick, page turning read. The story is well written. The characters are well developed and the Jordan’s are loveable. I did not want to stop swiping the pages. Cree Jordan is a serial dater who has to make a decision to open her heart, love and be loved. While heading to her sister’s wedding in Kenya, she bumps into the 2 men, Wayne and David, she has ever felt anything for. Both want a second chance with her but the secrets of her past come back to haunt her. Will Cree free herself of the past to allow one of these men to love her or will she let the past define her future? This is a story of Choice, Chance and Change. I recommend everyone to find out if Cree Jordan chooses to Love A Little!
Love a Little is a beautiful love story. I couldn't put it down. The characters are compelling. The storyline is intriguing. Sherri Lewis and Rhonda McKnight are two brilliant authors. I wish the Jordans were my family. ☺️
Every since I read the first Jordan story, I have been on love with this family! So glad Cree was finally able to let go of her past. This series is definitely a must read, I can't wait for the next book!
I was not disappointed by more drama from the Jordan family. I was drawn in two stories ago and find myself now looking to see who's left in the family to find love. Maybe the Grandma the "cougar"!
