PRINCE LUCAS If I have to marry a Princess I've never met, let's have a little fun first. I want to know what I'm dealing with. It was only supposed to be an afternoon in disguise, but then a snowstorm hits and everything changes. Now I'm spending the night in a cabin with the most beautiful woman I've ever seen. A woman who has secret fantasies ... ones I can fulfill ... so long as she thinks I'm not royalty. Turns out, neither of us are what we seem.
PRINCESS DAHLIA
People say I'm innocent, naive. But that's just because I believe in true love and happily-ever-after's. This arranged marriage dashes those dreams. But then the Prince's bodyguard with deep blue eyes, broad shoulders, and a protective hand shows up. Maybe I can still have what I've always wanted--a man who sweeps me off my feet. I have one night to bring my fantasy to life.
My darling readers,
This is the final Mountain Prince book and is unabashedly my favorite. Grab a copy, snuggle up in a faux fur blanket, and pretend Prince Lucas is all yours. I bet he'll even let you polish his crown.
Frankie Love writes filthy-sweet stories about bad boys and mountain men. As a thirty-something mom to six who is ridiculously in love with her own bearded hottie, she believes in love-at-first-sight and happily-ever-afters. She also believes in the power of a quickie.
❤️ Get ready to fall in love ... you deserve it! ❤️
Crowned By The Mountain Prince is the third and final book in The Mountain Prince series by Frankie Love. I don’t know why but I had a notion that this book was going to be my favorite of this trilogy and oh my gosh, it was.
Dahlia is the youngest of the three royal princesses of Elexia and the last one to be sent off to her future husband whom she has never met, her arranged marriage that will help her father to save his country from bankruptcy. Dahlia is twenty-one years old and is the worker bee of the three sisters. She doesn’t mind at all spending her days on her hands and knees scrubbing floors or baking in the kitchen. She is the quietest of the sisters and is perceived as the most shy. But Dahlia has kept her dreams and fantasies to herself. She has always dreamed of a forever love, of a happily ever after as one would read about in fairy tales. But all those dreams are dashed by this arranged marriage.
“I want to be taken by a man who wants me for me…even just for one night.”
She will do as she is required, though, to help her father save their country. But she still can’t help but to worry about her future husband and what life will be like in her new country.
“I can’t help but wonder if Lucas will be what I’m looking for, be what I need. And I wonder if I’m going to be enough for Lucas.”
Prince Lucas of Rochester trusts his father’s judgment. He trusts that he has chosen him a good wife. But, Lucas has spent a lifetime knowing princesses who want him for his title and money. He wants to know if this princess could care for him if she didn’t know who he really was. So, he decides to play a little trick on her. When he goes to pick her up at the airport, he poses as Thomas, his personal body guard. It was just supposed to be for a few hours. But a freak snow storm quickly blew in and prevented them from getting up the mountain to the castle. So they are stranded in a small cabin overnight.
The attraction between them is instant and strong. Lucas is regretting his lie. His feelings for the princess are overwhelming. But he decides not to ruin this time they have alone by telling her the truth. He will tell her, just not yet.
For growing up completely cut off from the outside world and having no experience with men what-so-ever, Dahlia has no trouble at all figuring things out with Lucas, who she thinks is Thomas. These two manage to heat up the cabin without any help from the fireplace.
“Yes, I’m marrying a prince in a few days, but right now I have a knight in shining armor. Right now I have the magic I always dreamed of finding.”
This book was so sweet and sexy and just perfect. I loved both Dahlia and Lucas. And the ending was adorable. We get a little bit of both of the other sisters and their new husbands. It was such a cute epilogue.
Okay I am sadly over these types stories as they are NOT FOR ME! I am not into the whole deception in my romance novels. While the hero and the heroine, technically did not cheat on each other, the hero was the only one who knowingly put her in this position. The position of being unfaithful to her intended fiancé.
PLEASE BE AWARE SPOILERS AHEAD
The crown Prince Lucas plays a trick on his intended bride by dressing up as his own personal guard named Thomas, and deceiving her. They share a ride to the palace that ends up with them being caught in a snow storm and stuck in a cottage together. Now the hero is the prince but the heroine does not know this. SHE CHEATS ON HER FIANCÉ WITH THOMAS! I know these two are one and the same but she doesn't. Therefore, she is deliberately cheating on her fiancé days before her wedding!!! To me it's cheating, as she sets out and has sex with other, while engaged to the Prince and still intending to marry her prince!
I am so disappointed and disgusted by her behavior that I had to force myself to finish. I was thinking she would try to call off the wedding, or even maybe try to see the prince and admit her misdeeds. Perhaps even tell him that she loves another? Maybe be honest and do the right thing, after all she is a princess, right?
But NO SHE DOES NOT! She walks down the aisle, intending to deceive her fiancé by not telling him. Ahhh so not happening for me here!
Not that the hero was not much better. I thought he would admit to her before their actual wedding what he had done! But no he waits until last possible second to explain to her what he had done. And of course he tells her, he loves her! WOW, REALLY!? So of course she simply overlooks the whole thing. AHHHH WHAT'S THE POINT HERE!? The fact that he lied, the fact that he deceived her, the fact that he cheated her, is all OKAY with her!?
Please, I am so over this type of thing and mind-games. I really don't appreciate when a main character sets out to deceive the other and suffers no consequences for this deception.
Therefore, I have to say this author simply isn't for me. This is not the first time that this author has used this type of plot or storyline. It's just a fails for me as a reader.
Now if you are able to overlook this whole faithfulness issues, this book is a pretty sweet read and really hot. IT EVEN HAS AN EPILOGUE with her other sisters four months later. They share some steamy sexual encounters at the cottage and are completely into each other. If he had been honest with her I would have given this book 4.5 stars.
However, this is the story and this is how I saw it.
Safety: it's completely technically safe. Except for me it wasn't. No drama and condoms used.
I liked both main characters in this book better than the ones in both of the previous books in this trilogy. There was some weird dialogue in the first two that wasn't present in this one, at least not til the end when there was a little.
I really liked this book but I'm not sure how I feel about the faithfulness? I get he wants her to like him for him but he straight up lied to her the whole time. And as far as her.... she was a day away from marrying a prince but sleeps with his "bodyguard" like it's all fine and dandy. Felt a little like cheating to me. It was odd for me this virginal girl was so willing to allow a stranger to take BOTH her virginitys and save nothing to the prince. Tisk.tisk. BUT if you get over that issue the story is actually sweet. I did get over my faithfulness issue and really enjoyed the story. I liked that the sisters were also slightly in the story. Happy ending.
"Crowned By The Mountain Prince" The Mountain Prince #3 is by author Frankie Love. Published: October 26, 2016 My Review: 4 Stars
This is book three in The Mountain Prince series. The last of three sisters to wed; now it's Princess Dahlia's turn. She will marry sexy mountain prince, Lucas.
Dahlia is not happy about marrying Prince Lucas. Dahlia believes in true love and always hoped she would marry a man that she was in love with. Of course her husband would love her just as much. Now because her father arranged a marriage for her in exchange for a very large dowry, her hopes and dreams of true love are crushed.
Dutifully, Dahlia will go through with the marriage to help save her father's kingdom. Just like her sisters before her have done. However, Dahlia's sister's marriages turned out to be the real deal...happily ever afters. Dahlia hoped to attain the same happiness in her upcoming marriage; sadly she didn't believe she would have their same luck.
Prince Lucas was not thrilled to be getting married. It was not that he hated the idea of marriage. He just didn't believe a woman would love him for himself. Only for his crown and vast wealth. His concern was justified because he would be king. But Lucas loved and respected his father dearly. He would do anything the king asked of him. Lucas's father has been ill for a long time and sadly, he would not live much longer. The king's wish was to see Lucas marry. So Lucas would make sure his father got his wish. Lucas would marry the princess his father chose for him. But Lucas wanted to meet her before the wedding. Under false pretenses, he would pretend to be someone else with the hope that she would be who he hoped, an honest, caring woman who could love for reasons that had nothing to do with status or wealth.
Of course, Prince Lucas pretty quickly discovered that he regretted his deception. Princess Dahlia was a delightful surprise. She was beautiful, kind and caring and he quickly fell for her. Lucas was worried about her reaction to his deception. What would she say or do when the truth is revealed?
I won't say more because this story is short and you should experience Lucas and Dahlia's romance by reading it for yourselves. I absolutely adored this story. I loved Lucas and Dahlia together. We also get visited from Dahlia's sisters and their princes as well as her father.
As always I look forward to another Frankie Love mountain man romance. They are super short, super sexy and erotic and totally sugary sweet.
## Disappointed. This book was weird. They speak like royals with their tiaras and their throne room. They act like royals with their bowing and curtsies. However, these royals use words like pus*y and cu*t? Really? The dichotomy didn't mesh. I can't recommend.
Crowned by the mountain prince is book three in the mountain prince series. This book is the first book of this series that I have read. It is short, fast paced and a nice read. I found the writing style easy to follow, the characters likeable and the storyline enjoyable. I devoured this book in one sitting and was satisfied throughout. I liked Princess Dahlia. She was down to earth and loving. She didn’t complain once. I liked Prince Lucas but I thought his plan of tricking his arranged bride was stupid. Lucas wanted to see what Dahlia was really like so he pretended to be his best friend Thomas who was also his royal guard. The chemistry between Princess Dahlia and Prince Lucas was instant and undeniable. I really liked them as a couple. That being said, I wanted to shout at Lucas to tell Dahlia who he was and stop the Thomas lie. I liked that it all worked out in the end but Lucas’s lie could have lost him the woman he loved if she wasn’t as understanding and forgiving as Dahlia. The epilogue for this story is sweet. I liked that Dahlia and Lucas got their happily ever after. The storyline for this book is easy to follow and an enjoyable read. I cannot wait to read the other books in this series.
Dahlia. Dahlia. Dahlia. How stupid you are... you know... she acts like what she did was like a one-time thing with a stranger when she literally thought he was the prince’s bodyguard. That she would have to see a lot in the future. Because he’s her future husband’s bodyguard. Someone she’d be around. A lot. In the future. Bitch, what? What was she thinking? Her lame excuse saying she wanted this just for herself? Honey, you can have a one-night-stand with any dude that isn’t connected with your future husband. That’s so stupid she did that. And she claims to be more mature than her older sisters. Funny.
And she says she has this fantasy about a stranger doing things to her... and constantly states that Lucas (her future husband!) is indeed a stranger. Welllllllllllll...
Man, if I was Lucas, I’d fucking run. Bitch fucked your “bodyguard”! And she was about to marry you the day after! With your “bodyguard” right next you. Jesus, fuck.
This is the best one in the series! A vast improvement on the conflict between the couple and the connection between them. At first I thought that the author was writing short, direct, and rather simple sex scenes purposely. Perhaps she didn't like writing creative longer passionate sensual moments in her books. But this last installment is lot better and I enjoyed it immensely. Perhaps now I will follow her work and even purchase some. Also I loved the male lead in this book. It's the first one where the mountain man wasn't a total jerk, which is refreshing to read.
This was a cute story. I know some people had a problem with the fact that princess Dahlia 'cheated' (but not really) with who she thought was the body guard but realistically in her shoes and looking at what would probably be a loveless arranged marriage why wouldn't grab a chance her one chance of love or lust or whatever it was. I think I was more miffed at Prince Lucas for thinking it would be okay to spring his true identity on her at their wedding!! Which in pretendia land works out cause Dahlia is just so happy that her prince was actually her lover that everything was cool....
Princess Dahlia is set to marry Prince Lucas. They never met each other and Lucas is not happy about this arranged marriage. So in order to make sure that she will love for who he is instead of a for him being a future king. He does a switch with his bodyguard to get to know her and he falls hard and fast. This is a sweet, steaming hot fairytale, full of longing and dreams for a better future. A wonderful conclusion to this story.
I liked this book. I loved loved the insta-love from the characters. I liked this part: Violet, Iris, and I are truly the luckiest princesses in the world . We’ve all found our own happily ever afters. We couldn’t have arranged it better if we’d tried. I hope to read more from this author.
This book was a good for a quick royal insta love romance. It wasn’t really my favorite though because I had a hard time with the fact that she slept with him knowing she was marrying someone else and that she didn’t even think about the fact that if he was a guard he might be in big trouble for sleeping with the Princess. It just seemed wrong to me. But otherwise was okay.
Talk about an exciting ending to a great series! It looked as though it was really going to hit the fan once Lucas's truth came out. But once again, love conquered all. And the final surprise topped it all off!
This book is filled with deception, love, and a fairytale. We follow Princess Dahlia and Prince Lucas to the alter for an arranged marriage. This is a must read for if you are looking for an Adult Princess Fairytale!
Quite frankly I found this to be the best of the Mountain Prince collection.
I enjoyed the concept of the prince hiding out as his guard as it was different to the first two of the series. Light hearted and smutty who can't love that.
Lucas decides to see if Dahlia is interested in him or in crown, but it backfires when she falls in love with "Thomas" causing heartbreak and guilt. Will Dahlia forgive Lucas when she learns the truth??
But I don't want it to end!! Book one and three were my favorites. This one was sweet and steamy and dirty and just the best bearded mountain man royalty book I've read. But like I said I wouldn't throw either Hunter or Lucas out of my bed...
This is the third and finally mountain prince book. Will Dahlia find her true love prince? Lucas decides to see if Dahlia will love him for more than just his crown?
This was Lucas and Dahlia’s story. It was a great read that was steamy with a HEA. This is the best book of the series my opinion only. Frankie Love can writes stories that you can’t wait to read the next books
