Gotta Let it Burn

I came across this author in one of the reading groups I'm in. This series piqued my interest because I saw it was about DV. Although I was glad Hunter got her happy ending, so many things happened that were never answered.
It's no doubt in my mind that this author can write and I'm gonna try some of her later works. She explained to me that this was when she first started writing so I really want to see her growth. Be looking for a future review!

Great read!!

I must say these characters are doing much better in this book. I was beginning to not like this series but it sure has improved. Zion is stepping up and I just want Keion gone. He's become such an unpleasant person. It seems as if Hailey and Hunter found themselves some good ones. Except for their crazy momma. Can hardly wait for the next part.

Different from what I thought it would be

It was nice to read a story of a man owning his faults and fighting to do better instead of lying and making excuses for his behavior.what I really liked was the story focused on some real life issues like domestic violence ~ on to book 2

A Thug's Apology

This book really hit home for me. I know all too well what mental illness and physical abuse can do in someone's life and how it affects their family and friends. Hailey really went through it with Zion. I'm glad that he got back on his meds and fought to make things right. Hailey's running really helped him put things into perspective. So much going on. I can't wait for part 2.

Great read

This was my first book I read by this author and I was very satisfied with this story. I love both of the couples. I like how murda owned up to his issues of schizophrenia and him hitting Hailey. I feel there will be problems with their mother Saphora, Keion in pt 2.
