A CUTTHROAT BUSINESS by Jenna Bennett
Everyone has warned new-minted realtor Savannah Martin that real estate is a cutthroat business. But it isn't until she finds herself on the "wrong" side of town, standing over the butchered body of a competitor, face to face with the boy her mother always warned her about, that Savannah realizes she is supposed to take the warning literally.

HUSH NOW BABY by Cheryl Bradshaw
On a crisp, fall night, Serena Westwood wakes to the faint stirs of her crying baby. Bottle in hand, she tiptoes to the other side of the house, sneaks up to the crib, looks in. A wave of panic grips her as her real nightmare begins. Inside the crib, there is no baby.

TWISTED JUSTICE by Diane Capri
Charismatic Federal Judge Willa Carson is devoted to two things: her job and her loving husband George. But when a controversial war hero is nominated to the U.S. Supreme Court, Willa's normally easy-going husband throws himself into the fight, determined to thwart the nomination. His relentless campaign strains their marriage and Willa's faith in him, until the General is killed. And George is arrested for murder... A complex thriller, with a shocking ending, this is the book Judge Willa fans have been waiting for! Realistic twists and turns keep readers engaged and guessing until the finale!

SPEAK NO EVIL by Tanya Anne Crosby
Lifting the veil of secrecy on a grand Southern family in decline. New York Times bestselling author Tanya Anne Crosby explores the lives of Caroline, Augusta, and Savannah Aldridge, three sisters who share a dark past and an uncertain future... After the death of their mother, a newspaper heiress, Caroline Aldridge steps up to head the paper. But a killer is making headlines, and Caroline may have unwittingly stepped into the crosshairs. Even as she mends the tattered bonds of sisterhood, a sinister force beyond their control may tear them apart forever...

MALEVOLENT by Jana Deleon
Everyone wondered about Shaye Archer's past. Including Shaye. Shaye Archer's life effectively began the night police found her in an alley, beaten and abused and with no memory of the previous fifteen years, not even her name. Nine years later, she's a licensed private investigator, with a single goal--to get answers for her clients when there aren't supposed to be any. And maybe someday, answers for herself.

THE CARDS OF LIFE AND DEATH (Spooky Romantic Mystery) by Colleen Gleason
When Diana's crazy Aunt Belinda dies, leaving her an old house in Maine, along with her Tarot cards, she takes the opportunity for a summer getaway far from the rat-race of Boston and the painful memories there. She doesn't expect to meet up with Ethan Tannock, the handsome neighbor next door who seems to be some sort of eccentric ghost-buster. But when the old house becomes the scene of vandalism and a number of break-ins, and it begins to appear as if Aunt Belinda's death was not as it seemed, Diana finds that life isn't always black and white and filled with logic. And then there are Aunt Belinda's Tarot cards...which seem to be trying to tell her something from beyond the grave...

Although I've only read one book in the box yet, it's a 5 star read and I've read other books by a few of the rest of the authors. I'm keeping with my 5 star as these are writers who are good at what they do and the value of this set is a fabulous deal.

Hush Now Baby: This another one of my favorite Sloane Monroe books (like the majority- plus it's a good stand-alone as you won't be lost). This book is a bit different than the others in that we get to know a more personal side of Sloane as she is reeling from the trauma of her last case which leads to her opening up about past emotional issues, dealing with some inner demons that have been haunting her for a while, and maybe even making some decisions on where she wants her life to go from now on. While trying to get away from it all at Cade's house, Sloane, of course, stumbles on a case. Not planning on taking any more cases for a while, this one she can't refuse- Cade's cousin's wife has been murdered and their newly adopted infant son taken. Cade and Sloane promise Cade's cousin they'll track down the killer and bring the baby home.

This book is an emotional roller coaster, dealing with Sloane's inner turmoil, the feelings the family go through while the baby is missing, and Sloane and Cade trying to sort out their feelings for each other. It makes for a great background story but still doesn't get in the way of the big mystery of hunting down the killer and finding the baby. The ending builds up in excitement as Sloane and Cade try to keep their promise to his cousin to bring baby Finn home to his dad. It's a surprise ending that I couldn't have guessed (which is hard when you read as much as I do). The story was anything but boring, even with all the emotional drama involved. The ending was original and has me anxious for the next Sloane Monroe book in the series.

This book set will keep you on the edge of your seat and reading right through your allotted sleep time! Excellent partnership between these six authors makes this set a definite must read. Cheryl Bradshaw's Hush Now Baby is phenomenal and from her Sloane Monroe series, which is one of my all time favorite book series and authors and what initially drew me to this set. If you haven't read this series, do yourself a favor and introduce yourself to this character. Ms. Bradshaw's book is full of well-developed characters and twists and turns in the plot that will keep you guessing. I also loved reading a new novel by Diane Capri. I had only read one of her books before this set and was glad to read her engrossing book in the set. Finally, I was happy to be introduced to four new author's, each of whom I definitely want to keep on my "to read" list going forward. In short (or actually long, it seems) this is an outstanding set and at an excellent price. Highly recommend!

This is a great set that allows you to read six amazing authors. I was already a fan of two of them, so discovering the other four was a bonus. The books in the set kept me glued, full of suspense and some thrills, there wasn't a bad one in the bunch! I believe any reader of the genre will find more than one book in this set to love, and at a great price!
