Wilde I had everything I had ever wanted. Wealth. Power. Success. I had created a place of sin where your deepest, darkest desires could be explored. What I didn’t have was her. Cassie. The forbidden always tastes more sweet.
Cassie He was savage, dark and dangerous. Wrong on so many levels. He had saved me, protected me. But I couldn’t have him. He was older. Harder.
He was also my step-father.
There's spanking and a little kink and a hot, dominant male. Come along for the ride as the bad boys of WildeSide fall in love. Stand alone. No cliffhanger.
Laylah loves reading, but she particularly loves a good romance with some seriously alpha men. Protective, possessive men with large hearts. Writing has become her passion and she hopes her readers enjoy her stories as much as she does writing them.
Wham, bam, thank you ma'am. That's how the book comes across to me. No romance, just clinical erotica. I prefer some sort of decent dialogue and interaction in my stories.
Plot spoilers alert. I got 31% into the book and gave up at the point where immediately following her mothers funeral he starts again with the D/s and anal play - this is after taking her virginity at the start of the book. They don't even kiss, he doesn't hold her or provide any comfort. It's not a romance, it's not a love story. It's distasteful and more than slightly disturbing, what with the stepfather element. It's not forbidden love, it's control and cold lust. He's 37 and she is 22 and the lack of nurture is astonishing. At no point did the book develop the characterisation, or even the storyline. There wasn't even any familial love, just calculated actions. I honestly don't have the words to describe just how much I disliked the book. It's miles away from the authors other series and I won't be purchasing any more in the series. There are sex scenes, virtually emotionless, and swearing.
Personally I didnt like it. I mean it's a good book dont get me wrong just could not get into Wilde at all. There was just the way he acted no go. However, Sinclair I got into him and will be reading the second book because it's about him and Darcy. However, I wont want to read anything with Wilde. It happened too fast personally for myself. If it had slowed down for her morn her mom more and i dont know, build a relationship it would have been more interesting. However it was fast FAST paced. Why to fast pace since they really didnt have a relationship in the beginning with him being her stepdad and everything. It was made to like he just kind of threw the mom and daughter into his house and only came home at night. Eh on to the next.

Wilde is absolutely wild. He is possessive, ornery, cranky and dominant and the best kind of daddy anyone could want. He has a dark side that is so beautifully juxtaposed to his caring but hidden heart. At first glance one would think he’s a typical sadist but there’s nuance to his character. His reasoning behind the choices he makes never ceased to surprise me. It was an excellent read.
It was a little odd that Cassie wasn’t more street smart given she had grown up in that environment but goes to show how safe she felt around Wilde that she could let her guard down.
Wilde by Laylah Roberts is the first book in the Bad Boys of Wildeside series. It was a quick sexy read that was not only a sexy erotic book but a book with an amazing storyline and interesting multidimensional characters!
I am looking forward to reading the next book in the series.
YES! thank you very much. This book started off hot and stayed there. It was just the right length and I was there for all the dirtiness of it. Some people don't get off on the taboo and forbidden but it's totally up my ally.
This is a raw, twisted romance about a dominant character and a sweet, innocent girl with a very kinky side. Loved it! 4 stars only because of the grammatical mistakes
I always enjoy Laylah Roberts books, well this one wasn’t her usual DDLG book it was still enjoyable. The character development was really good and it made me interested in the characters, I enjoyed both the FMC and the MMC and the growth throughout the book for both of them.
Laylah Roberts has written another fascinating book. There is a bit of a plot but it is centered around the physical relationships. Still, I plan on reading the rest of the series!
3.5 stars Cassie and Wilde definitely have chemistry, but the fast paced action and shorter length didn't allow for a lot of fleshing out details. "Step" taboo themed.
Laylah roberts is one of my recent favorites. Book is great, though now I need the next book to find out what's wrong with Darcy. My only complaint is it's too short. I wish it had a couple more chapters to allow characters to be fleshed out more, and to see more interaction with other characters, as we get a bit too much tell instead of show, though this is more with peripheral characters. With five stars, I obviously didn't think this was a deterrent, just a note for what I'd like to see different in the next book. Read kind of like a lighter weight incarnation of her redemption book, though more In tone than plot. Great book, definitely recommend.
I love all your books I read a lot to pass the time. Thank you for writing good no Wonderful books. Can’t wait for the next book I have a feeling that I’m going to love it
