This book has great projects for people who have no idea how to knit or crochet. With easy to read instructions, anyone can pick up knitting and crocheting, and make some fun projects, even as a beginner.
I focused on the last half of this book that dealt with crochet. It was easy to read and understand but I thought could have used a few more pictures. The book referenced an "insert" for the book which was apparently missing from the library copy that I checked out so that didn't help either. I would recommend this book for kids wanting to learn crochet as it is very easy to understand and introduces all the basic stitches for practice.
The only reason I keep it on my shelf is because I think I might some day need a reminder for basic crochet stitches and it doesn't take up much space. Of course, I'd have to be stranded somewhere without internet...
