This fun counting book, set close to the style of the House that Jack Built, is about a moudiwort, a little chunky mole type rodent I believe is found in Australia's outback. The Moudiwort is awesome as he digs and causes little bugs and tiny creatures to hop and dance around while under the ground. The celebration goes on....until the mole gives a big sneeze, and rodents don't use Kleenex (not without eating them first!). This book is beautifully done with awesome artwork and well written rhymes, and yes admit it the Moudiwort is SO CUUUUTE!!!

Educational piece that teaches basic counting as well as imparting knowledge of subterranean fauna. Art is pleasant. Text is slightly repetitive and could have been streamlined to make it more accommodating to being read aloud.

A favorite read-aloud picture book; we never could find it for purchase, so we took it out about a million times from the library. Also, who can resist the word "moudiewort" for a mole?
