Welcome to Farraday Country, set in cattle-ranching west Texas, with all the friends, family and fun that fans have come to expect from USA TODAY Bestselling Author Chris Keniston.

Declan Farraday left the Dallas PD to take the job of Police Chief in his peaceful and uncomplicated West Texas hometown. He just wished the folks in Tuckers Bluff would cooperate. Especially when someone leaves a definite complication on his doorstep and his only option is to reach out to the one girl in town he has no business asking for help.

Becky Wilson has loved Declan Farraday's brother since the first grade and the whole town knows it. When Declan needs help, she doesn't hesitate to step up. Working with the normally serious big brother reveals his gentler sweeter side. The more time they spend together, the more she questions has she been dreaming of the wrong Farraday?

A native New Yorker, Chris Keniston was on her way to Australia when she fell in love with North Texas. Little did she know the balmy seventy-degree October days would turn into fry-an-egg-on-the-sidewalk heat in August!

Twenty years later, she started scribbling short stories about her favorite TV shows, giving them lives more to her liking - and the elusive happy ending. Not long after, a dear friend dragged her to a local writers’ meeting. After winning multiple writing contests and making the finals in the Romance Writers of America’s prestigious Golden Heart contest, she now spends her days, and nights, writing contemporary romantic fiction with lots of emotion, plenty of surprises, and, of course, the happily ever after.

Chris lives in suburban Dallas with her husband, two human children, and two canine children. Though she loves her puppies equally, she admits being especially attached to her German Shepherd rescue named Gunny. After all, even dogs deserve a happily ever after.

Oh WOW! I loved this five star read. I have been waiting with bated breath for Declan's story.

Declan Farraday left the Dallas PD to return to his peaceful small-town home in West Texas where he is now the sheriff. He finds a baby on the doorstep of sheriff's office and is frantically trying to put the puzzle pieces together. Could this precious bundle be a Farraday?

Becky Wilson works at the animal hospital for Adam, Declan's brother. She has loved Declan Farraday's younger brother, Ethan, since first grade and it is a well known fact throughout the town. Becky has a license to foster children and Declan asks for her help with the abandoned baby. Becky steps up and takes the child into her home.

Becky is in for a pleasant surprise when Declan, the serious brother, shows his sweeter, softer side as they both care for the baby.

What a sweet ride this book is. I loved every word and the series has been awesome but 'Declan' is my favorite so far. Thank you Chris 'the magic wordsmith' Keniston for another great book. You know I love your writing and you are a must read author for this reader!! Thank you!

I liked this one, but not as much as the others. I didn't feel the big attraction between Becky and DJ. I think a big part of it was because for most of the series Becky has been teased about her crush on Ethan, so I expected them to end up together.

I did like the present that DJ found and how that threw all of the Farraday's into a tizzy, that was actually more interesting than the romance angle. With how this one ended it will be interesting to see what Ethan's does next.

Pretty much the same review as the others. This isn't earth-shattering never-heard-of-before storytelling. It's predictable and sweet. But sometimes we need a little bit of that in our lives. I'd like the Farraday family to adopt me. I'd say I want one of the cowboys for a husband, but that might offend my own husband.

The story was different, the foster care the getting to know Declan in different circumstances has Becky seeing him in a different light. Together they take care of Brittany at night before social services arrives to take her away. A cute story.

Declan (Farrady Country Book 4) is by Chris Keniston. This is a great book in a great series. It is fun to see the Farraday boys fall under the spell of a female. Having the furry dog in the picture and then disappearing is great.
DJ is the sheriff in town. He works long hours keeping an eye on the townspeople. He has enjoyed watching his older brothers fall under the spell of a woman. All of his new sisters-in-laws came from out of town. He knows if he wants a wife, which he isn’t looking for, he would have to go out of town or hope someone came to town. He is perfectly happy in his role as sheriff and uncle.
Darcy has always loved Ethan. She has been waiting for him to come to his senses and come home to her. With her grandmother being friend with Aunt Eileen and working for his brother Adam, it has been easy to keep track of Ethan. However, she is getting tired of waiting for him to come home.
Then, she and DJ find a baby who was left outside the police station. The baby has been left with a birth certificate stating she is Ethan’s child. DJ doesn’t take that as a given and sets off to get DNA tests as proof. Meanwhile, he doesn’t want his Aunt Eileen to get any ideas about keeping the baby if she isn’t a Farraday. Darcy is a qualified foster parent so she volunteers to care for Brittany until her parentage is settled. However, keeping a baby and working full time without help isn’t easy so DJ moves in with DJ at night to help with the baby.
Is Brittany a Farraday? Where is Ethan? Will Darcy get too attached to Brittany to let her go? What happens when the state finds out about the baby?

Declan: Farraday County Book 4

Chris Keniston

What does a tough Police Chief Declan Farraday, a sweet young Becky Wilson, and a baby left on the doorstep named Brittany and the dog all have to do with one another? Well we find out in Declan fourth of the Farraday County books by Chris Keniston!

Declan, or DJ as he was known by family, left Dallas to comeback home to Tuckers Bluff. He was glad for the change from Urban Terrorism to Small Town Mischief. But when he finds the dog on his doorstep protecting a cardboard box full of Brittany, well he knows he’s in over his head! Enter stage right Becky Wilson, Vet tech extraordinaire! DJ had called her over to take a look at the dog, but instead she wound up taking care of Brittany.

Thus begins a story where DJ and Becky get thrown together taking care of one very cute, very socially talked about Brittany. Everyone in town wants to butt in with baby advice, girl advice, guy advice and oh yeah whatever happened to the dog? Well it seems he just appears when something is going to happen to a Farraday. This time it’s Declan’s turn. What was it Aunt Eileen told DJ, “Maybe keep an eye out for that dog. He, or she, seems to have a better track record at finding good women than any of you”. If you want to know what happens you’ll have to read the book. By the way you might want to stay away from a gray, furry, gentleman of a dog……

I was given an ARC Copy and freely wrote this Review!

Chris Kenison has written a new series of books based on the old movie Seven Brides for Seven Brothers. She has designed a family with seven brothers and one sister (Farraday) and a small town in Texas. The men are hot, tall and handsome, with old-fashion manners, definitely boyfriend worthy and a bit of alpha.

Declan is the police chief in a small Texas town. He is the fourth brother in the Farraday Family. His days are spent protecting the people of his town until one day a baby is left on the doorstep of the police station and his life is turned around. Becky Wilson has always thought she was in love with Ethan Farraday, however helping with a foster baby and Declan in her space, she begins to wonder which Farraday she is in love with.

I enjoyed this series of books about the Farraday Family. While the books are all hot and heavy in same ways, they are true love stories. The series about the Farraday’s brothers are hot and fun reads.

A baby left outside the police station - who, why, when

This is the 4th book in this series that I’ve read. It is also the most interesting, to me. I enjoy the Farraday family with its 7. Rotherham and one sister. DJ (otherwise known as Declan James) is the police chief who cares about the people in his town. He is also close to his family and helps out on their ranch whenever they need help. When he discovers a baby, being protected by an unknown dog, outside the police station he instinctively calls his brother, the vet. Becky Wilson responds and knows just what to do. She’s even been certified as an emergency care provider by the state social worker agency. DJ knows Becky as a neighbor and as the girl who has been in love with his younger brother since she was 6.

A lovely story, interesting problems, small town characters and a close knit family. Perfect romance novel for a cloudy day.

So nice to learn more about our burner-out-big-town sheriff who moved back home awhile back to become the town sheriff where nothing ever happens...ya right! Nothing happens...you bet. Until a mysterious disappearing dog gives him a visit to his office and leaves a box behind. Inside it they find a baby. We spend the book narrowing down who the father is and in the meantime because of the needs of the baby, love visits another couple in Farraday Country. In the meantime we really get to learn what makes Declan tick. I think I fell in love with him and bet you will also. I love this series but think he is my new favorite. That may change when I reread the series! lol If you have not read any of this series, come along and join us.
It is no hardship to write a review as you want others to join in the fun also.

Another great addition to the Farraday's series! In this story we get to see the story of Declan (DJ) and Becky. DJ is police Chief in his small Texas town. One day he's just looking outside when he sees a dog and when he goes out to investigate, it's so much more than just a dog! He turns to someone he knows will help.

Becky has been in love with a Farraday for a very long time, unfortunately it isn't DJ but his brother. BUT, what happens when Becky and DJ start spending time together because of the surprise package DJ found? And our story takes off from there!

We've gotten to know all the characters in this series and it's like visiting old friends reading this book!

Another great book by Chris Keniston!

Declan, Book 4 in the Farraday Country Series

Wow! This is the 4th book in this series! Usually, by now, the books in a series start getting a bit dry, not as exciting. Not so for this series! I have loved this series from Book 1 and am excited to read #5. Country life, solid characters, romance and intrigue is a winning combination! The mysterious dog in each book is a wonderful addition. I highly recommend this author and series!

Loved this book. The series is amazing. This the forth book in the series.
Two things bring Declan(DJ) Farraday together with Becky Wilson someone he's know forever. A baby and a dog. The dog everyone in town as been looking for.
Only problem is she likes his brother and he's overseas.
Very interesting turn of events.

Highly recommend.

Make sure you read each book in the series.

I really enjoyed this book so far the most of the series (book 4). But, to enjoy it youd have to know the characters and side character to fully understand and enjoy it. That means reading books one thru 3 first. This series definitely has cliffhangers and I love how the author keeps prior characters in new books too. Looking forward to book 5.

Declan makes four.

A baby left at the police station. Police Chief Declan James Farraday must solve the mystery of her parents. Life just got complicated and “the matchmaking dog” strikes again. Recommend series.

Terrific Series

Book Four featuring DJ and Becky continues this intriguing series. Few ‘clean’ series seem to pull off effective storylines and romance so well. Clearly, for me, a binge read series.

Declan Farraday
Becky Wilson

Declan and Becky have known each other since they were kids. Becky being his little sister’s friend. Now he is Chief of Police and she is the manager for Adam, his brother’s, Vet business. They start being together more when a baby is dropped off at the police station. I liked tho book as much as I did the others so far in this series. I like how Becky immediately offers assistance and how she changes as she spends more time with Declan. Declan sees Becky for the smart, kind, and strong person she is and most importantly that she has grown up. Looking forward to reading more in the series.

I read this as part of one of the 3 book collections. I really liked this story. Just wish there was more of a back story on this one. It is alluded to but would of made it just that much better to have more details ( but that is just me)

In the first 3 books of the series I’ve always liked Becky. I’m so happy DJ and Becky found each other. So much going on all at once too. I need to do a family tree for the Farradays just to keep them straight. hehe
