Archie Gwynn, earnest and capable private investigator, probes the enigma of Tomas, a man seemingly capable of miraculous healing. The revelations combine in a legal battle of crafty attorneys and insidious corporate intrigue for control of Tomas, concluding with a stunning and unexpected result.
I thought this book would be very different than it was based on the book cover. It was an exciting court proceeding, and I enjoyed seeing the friendly rivalry between the two lawyers. I also really liked the judge. Some bad guys got what they deserved, but other's fate left me shocked and rather uneasy.
The ending was a surprise; I'm still processing it—a thought-provoking topic. I recommend this read if you like mysteries.
Another good read. This one I had a bit of trouble following at all times, but that's probably my problem, not the author's! I'm thinking there might be a sequel, and I'll read it for sure.
